Registratin fees are nnrefundable. Tentative reservatins will be held fr a maximum f 14 days pending receipt f depsit as lng as a cmpleted registratin frm and signed tax-exemptin frm have been submitted. Cmpetitin cnfirmatin packets with specific perfrmance details will be ed in February after the TMEA Cnventin.! Final Payments are due three weeks prir t yur cntest date. Grups whse final payments are received three weeks (21 days) prir t yur visit will receive a Schlitterbahn beach twel as part f every Sund Waves package, as well as ne free Sund Waves package with every 20 packages purchased. Cntest times and site lcatins are subject t change as a result f late payments. Final payments fr cntest will be accepted up t 4 days prir t cntest if cntest site space allws. If space is nt available, a park visit may be substituted fr cntest r a refund may be requested. See Refund Requests belw fr details.! SOUN WAVES was created t prvide a supprtive cntest envirnment which allws the directr t establish the level f difficulty f music and the intensity f perfrmance. It is ur gal t prvide a rewarding first cntest experience fr yung bands, as well as mre challenging pprtunities fr experienced ensembles. SOUN WAVES is pen t beginning bands, junir high/middle schl bands and high schl bands. 5 RATINGS: ivisin I - Superir ivisin II - Excellent ivisin III - Gd TIME ALLOTMENT: Each perfrming grup will be allwed twenty (20) minutes in the warm-up rm and five (5) minutes t mve t the perfrmance stage. On-stage time shuld nt exceed twenty-five (25) minutes. MUSIC REQUIREMENTS: There are n specific requirements fr perfrmance. Grups may perfrm any suitable music. Please perfrm n fewer than tw (2) selectins and n mre than three (3) and limit yur n-stage time t twenty-five (25) minutes. Music shuld be f cntrasting styles. irectrs must furnish three (3) numbered scres f each selectin fr the adjudicatin panel. These will be returned with the written cmments. Original scres must be used. uplicated scres are unacceptable unless accmpanied by a purchase rder fr the music. Withut the prper scres, grups will be limited t perfrming fr COMMENTS ONLY. Jazz ensemble perfrmances f unpublished selectins are an exceptin. EQUIPMENT: The fllwing equipment will be prvided: music stands and chairs, directr's pdium, chimes, marimba, vibes, xylphne, fur (4) timpani, cncert bass drum and electric receptacles. Please cntact Schlitterbahn Grup Sales via with any additinal questins regarding equipment. Grups will need t prvide all ther equipment, t include all sticks and mallets. AWARS: Each grup will receive written critiques f their perfrmance. Grups perfrming fr RATINGS will receive either a SUPERIOR (ivisin I), EXCELLENT (ivisin II), r GOO (ivisin III) trphy based upn their perfrmance. After reviewing SUPERIOR perfrmances at each cntest site, the judges will select a BEST IN CLASS recipient in each categry by classificatin. BEST IN CLASS trphies will be awarded at the Sund Waves Awards Ceremny. JUGE S CHOICE trphies will be awarded t ne grup per site as specified by the judges as the mst utstanding grup f the day regardless f class and type.
