Unless ntified, we will create a draft schedule fr assessments based n last year s Assessment gruping in cmbinatin with State Turnament results. Games will be scheduled in time blcks allwing each team the pprtunity t play against every team in their divisin. Game length may be mdified t allw fr all teams t play ne anther. An additinal game against a team in a divisin belw r abve may be needed t determine final divisins. Game play and apprximate length f games will be discussed n the preseasn caches call. S TAT E TOURN A ME N T After assessments take place, divisins are established. A schedule will then be created fr ur State Basketball Turnament. A draft schedule will be sent ut t all head caches and Lcal Prgram Crdinatrs befre ur caches call. A team s rster cannt change frm Assessments t the State Turnament. Training is an imprtant part f athlete grwth in bth skill develpment and verall physical fitness. Special Olympics New Hampshire expects teams t train twice a week fr 10 weeks prir t the State Turnament, with ne practice fcusing n sprt specific training and ne practicing fcusing n fitness (crss training etc.) t allw fr ptimal perfrmance and readiness at the State Turnament. Lunch will be prvided at the Unified and Traditinal assessments. Lunch and/r dinner (if necessary) will be prvided at the State Turnament. If the event is cancelled, it will nt be rescheduled. AT HLETE S PA RT I C I PAT I ON ON N ON - P RI MA RY LOC A L P ROG R A MS If an athlete wuld like t participate in a sprt with a different Lcal Prgram: 1. The athlete must let his/her LPC knw they wuld like t participate in anther sprt and which Lcal Prgram they are interested in jining. 4 Special Olympics New Hampshire

If the Primary Lcal Prgram ffers the sprt, the LPC shuld wrk with the athlete t determine why the athlete wuld like t participate with anther Prgram and decide if they will apprve participatin. b. Additinally, the athlete needs t make sure his/her LPC fills ut the transfer frm. 2. The athlete needs t ask the LPC f the team he/she wuld like t participate with a. If the LPC f the secndary team des nt have the infrastructure (enugh vlunteers t make a safe envirnment) they may say n t the athlete b. If the secndary LPC says yes, he/she needs t fill in the existing transfer frm including the amunt f mney that will need t be transferred and any expectatins as a result f the athlete s participatin. 3. The athlete needs t get the transfer frm back t their primary LPC wh then submits it t SONH fr prcessing. 4. The secndary LP may register an athlete they think will be participating with them but if the transfer frm is nt cmpleted by the scratch date the secndary LP will be financially respnsible fr that athlete s participatin in the Games. 5 Special Olympics New Hampshire
