3 A u t m a t i c C a l l b a c k This service allws yu t autmatically redial the last utging call. If the line is busy, the system will try t recnnect fr up t 30 minutes. T activate Autmatic Callback * 6 6. This will autmatically begin ringing the ther line. Nte: If the line is busy, the system will ntify yu. Yu can then hang up. a. When the line is n lnger busy, yu will be alerted with a special ring. b. Once yu lift the handset, the system will begin ringing the ther line. T cancel Autmatic Callback * 8 6 A u t m a t i c R e c a l l ( * 6 9 ) This service allws yu t return the mst recent incming call, r t hear the last incming caller s number and then ptinally return the call. T activate Autmatic Recall * The system will annunce the number that called, including the time/date f the call. 4. T return the call, press 1 T cancel return call when the line is busy * 8 9 If the line is busy when attempting t return the call, the system will attempt t cmplete the call fr up t 30 minutes. In mst cases, yu will be alerted with a special ring when the number is n lnger busy. If yu have Call Waiting and d nt answer the incming call, *69 will prvide yu with the infrmatin abut that call and allw yu t return the call. Certain calls cannt be returned by this service. Page 3

T activate Uncnditinal Call Frwarding * 7 2 immediately fllwed by the number yu wish t frward t. Lcal numbers must be dialed as 260-nnn-nnnn, and lng distance as 1-nnn-nnn-nnnn. 3. Yu will hear a cnfirmatin tne, and the system will dial the number. 4. When the call is answered, the feature has been activated. T cancel Uncnditinal Call Frwarding * 7 3 This service can be managed using the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services). Yu will hear a cnfirmatin tne, and the system will dial the number. 4. When the call is answered, the feature has been activated. T cancel Delayed Call Frwarding * 9 3 This service can be managed using the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services). S e l e c t i v e C a l l F r w a r d i n g This service allws yu t designate up t 10 numbers whse calls will be frwarded t an alternative number. All ther calls will ring at yur regular number. 6 R e m t e A c c e s s t C a l l F r w a r d i n g This service allws yu t setup Call Frwarding n yur number frm anywhere. T use Remte Access t Call Frwarding 1. Dial the Remte Access t Call Frwarding number lcally r utside f the lcal calling area. 2. Enter yur 10 digit telephne number and PIN when prmpted. 3. Enter the Call Frwarding access cde yu wish t cnfigure (i.e. - *72 fr Uncnditinal Call Frwarding) 4. Cnfigure the call service as yu wuld nrmally. C a l l R e j e c t i n A n n y m u s C a l l R e j e c t i n This service allws yu t reject calls frm peple wh have blcked the display f their Caller ID infrmatin. When an annymus caller tries t reach yu, they ll hear a message stating that yu are nt accepting calls frm private numbers, and instructs them t hang up, remve their Caller ID blcking and call again. T activate Annymus Call Rejectin 3. A recrding will infrm yu that the service is nw n. T cancel Annymus Call Rejectin * 7 7 * A recrding will infrm yu that the service is nw ff. This service can be managed using the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services). Page 6

7 S e l e c t i v e C a l l R e j e c t i n This service allws yu t prgram up t 10 numbers that are rejected when they call yu. A blcked caller will hear a vice recrding that says yu are currently nt accepting calls frm yu. T activate Selective Call Rejectin * Fllw the autmated instructins fr Call Rejectin ptins. Autmated Instructins 3 Turn service n and ff T cancel Selective Call Rejectin * Fllw the autmated instructins fr Call Rejectin ptins. # * 1 Add a phne number Remve a phne number Review the phne numbers in yur list This service can be managed using the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services). C a l l T r a c e This service allws yu t request a trace f an incming call. A recrd f the traced call will be stred at AES, and may then be passed n t an apprpriate authrity. T activate Call Trace 1. Press and release the switchhk 2. When yu hear the dial tne, press 3. Fllw the vice prmpts fr further instructins. Additinal infrmatin * 5 7 If a call cmes thrugh befre yu activate call trace, then the system will trace the last call received. Once yu have successfully traced the required number f calls (required by lcal law), cntact yur lcal law enfrcement agency and btain a cmplaint number. The recrds f all traced calls will be released nly t a law enfrcement agency. Page 7

8 C a l l T r a n s f e r This service allws yu t transfer an existing call t anther party. T transfer a call 4. Press and release yur phne s recall feature (the flash buttn, switchhk r hang-up buttn) t put the first call n hld. 5. When yu hear the dial tne, dial the number f the party yu wish t transfer t 6. Yu can then hang up either befre r after the ther party answers, and the call will be transferred t their line. C a l l W a i t i n g This service prvides a special tne t let yu knw when anther call is trying t reach yu, and allws yu t switch between the calls. T use Call Waiting 1. When yu hear the tne, press and release yur phne s recall feature (the flash buttn, switchhk r hang-up buttn) t put the first call n hld and answer the secnd call. 2. T return t the first call and put the secnd call n hld, press and release yur phne s recall feature again. Yu can alternate between calls as ften as yu d like. If yu hang up when yu hear the Call Waiting tne, yur phne will ring. If yu hang up while a call is still n hld, yu will receive a ringback reminding yu t recnnect the call. If the first persn hangs up, yu will autmatically be cnnected t the secnd persn within a matter f secnds. C a l l e r I D S e r v i c e s Caller ID allws yu t see the name and/r number f the persn calling. The infrmatin yu see depends n whether yu are subscribed t Caller ID Number Delivery ONLY r Caller ID Number Delivery with Name. This infrmatin will appear between the first and secnd rings n a display device. 9 L a s t C a l l e r I D E r a s u r e This service allws yu t erase the recrd f the last caller s number, including the date and time f the call, s that it cannt be accessed by any call service. This service als clears the recrd f the last called number and the call lists, s that there is n lnger any recrd f the mst recent incming and utging calls. T use Last Caller ID Erasure * C a l l e r I D B l c k i n g ( W i t h h l d N u m b e r ) This service allws yu t cntrl whether yur Caller ID infrmatin is listed as annymus when making utging calls. F i n d - M e F l l w - Me S i m u l t a n e u s R i n g This service prvides a way fr yu t cnfigure additinal numbers which will ring alng with yur main number, any f which can answer the call (i.e. Ring hme and mbile numbers tgether). T activate Simultaneus Ring * T cancel Simultaneus Ring * Yu will need t use the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services) t set up numbers which will ring simultaneusly. Page 9

10 E n h a n c e d F i n d - M e F l l w - Me This service prvides a way fr yu t cnfigure additinal numbers which will ring alng with (r exclude) yur main number, any f which can answer the call. A pre-defined rder is used t determine which number(s) t ring next. (i.e. Ring hme number first, then mbile, then ffice, etc.) T activate Enhanced Find-Me Fllw-Me * T cancel Enhanced Find-Me Fllw-Me * Yu will need t use the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services) t set up numbers which will ring simultaneusly. O u t g i n g C a l l B l c k ( C a l l B a r r i n g ) This service allws yu t blck utging calls t certain types f numbers frm yur line. When users try t make a phne call that has been blcked, they will receive a message stating that utging calls are barred. Calls that can be blcked Internatinal calls Natinal and mbile calls Lcal calls Operatr calls Calls t feature access cdes Premium rate calls Calls that are never blcked Tll-free calls Emergency Calls T activate Outging Call Blck (by type) Blck all calls except emergency calls, press * Blck internatinal, natinal and lng distance mbile calls, press * Blck internatinal calls, press * Blck peratr calls, press * Blck calls t feature access cdes, press * Blck calls t premium rate numbers, press * Page 10

P r i r i t y C a l l This service allws yu t select a list f numbers frm which incming calls will ring with a distinctive tne. T activate Pririty Call * Fllw the autmated instructins fr Pririty Call ptins. T cancel Pririty Call * Fllw the autmated instructins fr Pririty Call ptins. Autmated Instructins 3 # * 1 Turn service n and ff Add a phne number Remve a phne number Review the phne numbers in yur list If yu are using a plyphnic ring tne (music) instead f a standard ring tne, distinctive ringing may nt wrk. This service can be managed using the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services). Page 11

12 R e m i n d e r C a l l s This service allws yu t schedule calls t ccur at a specific time. An annuncement is played when yu answer. Reminder calls can be individual r regular reminders. Individual reminders nly ccur at ne specific time, up t 24 hurs after the reminder was set up. Regular reminders ccur at a specific time ver a number f days, depending n the ptins selected. Individual Reminder Calls Lift the handset and listen fr the dial tne. Dial the apprpriate access cde (see belw) T set up an individual reminder, press T cancel all individual reminders, press T cancel ne individual reminder, press * * 3 1 T check individual reminders yu have set up, press Yu will be prmpted t dial the desired time, in 24-hur clck frmat, then press Yu will then hear cnfirmatin that the reminder has been set up. Hang up when yu hear the dial tne. 1 * * # Regular Reminder Calls Lift the handset and listen fr the dial tne. Dial the apprpriate access cde (see belw) T set up a regular reminder, press T cancel all regular reminders, press T cancel ne regular reminder, press T check regular reminders yu have set up, press Yu will be prmpted t dial the desired time, in 24-hur clck frmat, fllwed by Yu will then be prmpted t dial the repeat ptin cde (see belw) A particular day f the week (Mnday Sunday, press 1 7 respectively), fllwed by Every weekday, press Every day, press 9 # 8 # * * 3 1 Yu will then hear cnfirmatin that the reminder has been set up. Hang up when yu hear the dial tne. 5 * * * # If the reminder call is nt answered, the system will retry after a set perid. This service can be managed using the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services). The call rings thrugh as an Annymus call. Page 12

13 S p e e d C a l l i n g This service allws yu t set up ne-digit r tw-digit cdes t be used as shrtcuts fr selected phne numbers. T cnfigure Speed Calling * 7 4 fr ne-digit dialing, r press * 7 5 fr tw-digit dialing. 3. Immediately fllwing the feature cde abve, dial the ne r tw digit shrt cde yu wish t use, fllwed by the phne number yu wish t prgram. [i.e. : *74(x-nnn-nnn-nnnn); where x dentes the Speed Calling cde, and n dentes the phne number] 4. Yu will then hear a cnfirmatin tne. T use Speed Calling 2. Dial the ne-digit r tw-digit shrt cde (prgrammed abve), fllwed by #. One-digit cdes can be numbers frm 2 9 Tw-digit cdes can be numbers frm Lcal numbers must be dialed as 260-nnn-nnnn, and lng distance as 1-nnn-nnn-nnnn. This service can be managed using the nline Vice Management Center (Web Services). T h r e e - W a y C a l l i n g This service allws yu t add a third persn t yur cnversatin. T add a third persn t yur call 1. Press and release yur phne s recall feature (the flash buttn, switchhk r hang-up buttn) t put the first call n hld. 2. When yu hear the dial tne, dial the number f the party yu wish add t the call. 3. When the persn answers, press and release yur phne s recall feature t cnnect all callers. Either persn can leave the cnversatin by hanging up. Yu will still be cnnected t the ther persn Yu can remve the third persn anytime by pressing and releasing yur phne s recall feature. If the number f the third persn is busy r there is n answer, return t the first caller by pressing and releasing yur phne s recall feature tw times. Page 13

14 P I N C h a n g e This service allws yu t change yur persnal identificatin number, which is used with Remte Access t Call Frwarding, and t deactivate Outging Call Blck (Call Barring). T activate Pririty Call * When prmpted, enter yur current PIN. 4. Yu will then be prmpted t enter a new fur-digit PIN (0000 is nt a valid PIN). 5. An annuncement cnfirms the new PIN. 9 W e b S e r v i c e s This service allws yu t easily manage all f yur calling services. There are tw management pages: Vice Management Center fr calling features listed abve. Vic Center t listen t and rganize vic . Accessing the Vice Management Center fr the first time 1. **Yu will need t call ur ffice t enable this feature. 2. Open yur Internet brwser. 3. Type vice.auburnessentialservices.net in the address bar. 4. In the Directry Number field, enter yur 10-digit phne number, then enter yur passwrd. 5. Click n Service manual n the bttm, left fr a quick verview f each menu item. 6. Click n Settings, and then Security Settings t change yur passwrd. AES recmmends changing yur passwrd immediately. Accessing the Vic Center fr the first time 1. Open yur Internet brwser. 2. Type vm.auburnessentialservices.net in the address bar. 3. In the Number field, enter yur 10-digit phne number 4. In the Passwrd field, enter yur passwrd. Nte: Yur vic passwrd can nly be changed ver the phne. Refer t the Vic Getting Started sectin f this user guide fr instructins. Page 14

15 V i c e m a i l Please fllw the steps belw t immediately set up yur vice mailbx. The next sectin, titled Mailbx menu verview, will prvide yu with a cmplete list f the menus within yur vice mailbx. Getting Started Accessing the vic system 1. T access the vic system frm yur phne, dial * 9 8. This will take yu directly int the system; yu will nt be prmpted fr yur mailbx number r passwrd. Changing yur vic passwrd 1. Frm the Main Menu, press 0 fr mailbx ptins. 2. Frm the Mailbx Optins Menu, press 5 t change yur passwrd. 3. Fllw the spken, autmated instructins. 4. After the system cnfirms yur passwrd has changed, mve t the next step belw. Recrding yur name 1. Yu shuld still be in the Mailbx Optins Menu frm abve. 3 t recrd yur name. 3. Fllw the spken, autmated instructins. When finished, yu will be presented with the fllwing ptins: a. Press 1 t accept yur recrded name. b. Press 2 t listen t yur recrded name. c. Press 3 t re-recrd yur name. 4. After the system cnfirms yur name, mve t the last n the next page. Recrding yur unavailable greeting 1. Yu shuld still be in the Mailbx Optins Menu frm abve. 1 t recrd yur unavailable message. 3. Fllw the spken, autmated instructins. When finished, yu will be presented with the fllwing ptins: a. Press 1 t accept yur recrded name. b. Press 2 t listen t yur recrded name. c. Press 3 t re-recrd yur name. 4. Once the system cnfirms yur unavailable message, yur mailbx setup is cmplete. Yu can then hang up. Page 15

Busy Message is played when yur line is busy. Temprary Greeting verrides the Unavailable Message, and must be manually deleted fr the Unavailable Message t be restred. T delete this greeting, fllw the prmpts t recrd yur Temprary Greeting; yu will be presented with an ptin t erase the greeting. If yu wuld like t receive ntificatin when a new vic message arrives, yu will need t cntact AES at Yu can nly play, delete and save/rganize vic messages in the Vic Center management website. Page 17
