2 The Internatinal Cllege f Management, Sydney (ICMS) PROFESSIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Suths Cares HOSTPLUS ICMS Indigenus Schlarship The Internatinal Cllege f Management, Sydney (ICMS) develped a schlarship prgram mre than 11 years ag t reward the mst prmising students based n their effrt, dedicatin, attitude and aptitude, demnstrated business acumen and mtivatin. ICMS has partnered with SOUTHS CARES an affiliate f the Rabbiths and HOSTPLUS t prvide a schlarship fr an indigenus student cmmencing a Bachelr Degree at ICMS. Applicatins will be evaluated by the Schlarship Bard, cnsisting f a representative f Suths Cares HOSTPLUS, and the Chair f ICMS Prfessinal Schlarships r an appinted representative. The Suths Cares HOSTPLUS ICMS Indigenus Schlarship is awarded t a student based n the selectin prcess implemented by the ICMS Prfessinal Schlarship bard. Value: Up t $40,000 tuitin waiver and a paid wrk placement with the Rabbiths. Applicatins Due: 5pm n Tuesday 13 Nvember, 2018 fr the February 2019 Trimester. 3 SELECTION PROCESS 1. COMPLETE APPLICATION FORM Submit via at r Submit applicatin in persn at the Student Services frnt desk 2. FINALISTS WILL BE SELECTED BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: a) ACADEMIC RECORD Applicants must meet the ICMS academic entry requirements and maintain a minimum GPA f 2.5 r equivalent. b) ESSAY SUBMISSION (Minimum 500 wrds) Address the fllwing questins within an essay: 1. Hw wuld yu feel abut studying at ICMS in Manly? 2. Why d yu want this schlarship and hw culd it help yu and yur family? 3. What is yur ambitin and hw will yur chsen curse help yu reach it? 4. Include any ther infrmatin yu wuld like the Schlarship bard t knw. c) INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE Submit a summary f any industry experience yu ve had. d) COMMUNITY, LEADERSHIP AND STUDENT BODY CONTRIBUTIONS 3. INTERVIEW STAGE Yur cmmunity cntributins frm a part f yur backgrund and applicatin fr the ICMS Prfessinal Schlarship Prgram. Include all relevant infrmatin past and present. Fr example, details f place-hldings such as student representative cuncil, cmmunity vlunteering, and ther areas f interest. Students wh are successful with their essay submissin and academic entry requirements will prgress t the interview stage. Interviews are cnducted by the ICMS Prfessinal Schlarship Bard. 4. ANNOUNCEMENT All applicants will be ntified f the results by letter and/r phne and . NOTE: Schlarship submissins will nt be returned. Unsuccessful applicatins are nt retained and will be securely destryed. ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURE Upn ntificatin f being awarded the Suths Cares HOSTPLUS ICMS Indigenus Schlarship, the successful candidate will be required t infrm the Cllege f acceptance r nn-acceptance, in writing, within tw wrking days f receipt f ntificatin. 3

4 TERMS AND CONDITIONS The recipient must be cmmencing a Bachelr Degree at ICMS in February Schlarship recipients are required t maintain a minimum cumulative GPA f 2.5 during the tenure f their schlarship. The recipient f the Suths Cares HOSTPLUS ICMS Indigenus Schlarship will be awarded a tuitin waiver t the value f up t $40,000 and a paid wrk placement with the Rabbiths. The Suths Cares HOSTPLUS ICMS Indigenus Schlarship is nn-transferable, unable t be extended (unless authrised prir by the ICMS selectin panel). The Suths Cares HOSTPLUS ICMS Indigenus Schlarship may nt be deferred. Recipients f the Suths Cares HOSTPLUS ICMS Indigenus Schlarship agree t abide by all prescribed rules and regulatins f ICMS. Schlarship students are expected t maintain gd t excellent verall prfessinal cnduct and act as ambassadrs f the Cllege at all times.. Activities f the schlarship hlder may include: Representing the Cllege at events and exps, VIP functins and visits Assisting at Cllege events such as Graduatin Day and Open Day Assisting the Pllard Resurce Centre and Academic Supprt Centre Assisting with student events and functins Submissins t Cllege publicatins Student Services activities Participatin in cmmunity/charity wrk The Suths Cares HOSTPLUS ICMS Indigenus Schlarship may be discntinued by ICMS, dependent upn timely review f academic standing, prfessinal cnduct and Cllege/cmmunity cntributin and cmmitment t the ICMS wrk experience prgram (cmmitment hurs). Schlarship recipients are required t allw the ICMS Marketing department t take their pht and write a student prfile abut them fr publicatins and website use. Recipients must als be willing t participate in future marketing activities. Schlarship recipients must actively participate in at least ne student cmmittee and be a student ambassadr fr each trimester that the schlarship is awarded. Schlarship recipients must be 18 years f age within six mnths f cmmencing a ICMS Bachelr degree. Cllege fees are subject t change. The Schlarship Bard s decisin is final and reserves the right t terminate the schlarship at any time fr pr academic perfrmance (see abve), r inapprpriate cnduct (see ICMS Student Handbk) r failure t meet the requirements f the ICMS Prfessinal Schlarship.
