5 Annexure A DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED WITH THIS APPLICATION We require all candidates wh are registering a new firm, re-registering a previusly registered firm where the belw dcuments were nt submitted n the previus registratin f the firm, r cnverting existing firms frm nn-assurance t assurance, t first set up their audit quality structures befre we register their firms. We require this because we believe it is in the public interest fr the IRBA as a regulatr t ensure that all firms have their Quality Cntrl structures in place. This als ensures that yur firm is running in accrdance with ISQC1. We generally find that the prcess f setting up these structures is ne that is very beneficial t yu and thse yu will be wrking with as it fcusses n the verall structures in terms f quality. The fllwing dcuments must be submitted with this applicatin relating t the practice yu intend t register: 1. Business plan (practice plan); 2. Quality (ISQC) manual the quality manual must be drafted in accrdance with ISQC1; and 3. Name and IRBA number f the RA identified as yur firm s Quality Reviewer, and agreements entered int with the Quality Reviewer. Quality Manual: Yur manual must cntain all the established prcedures and plicies cvering all aspects f ISQC1. Please ensure that yu als submit t us all yur templates and checklists as identified in yur manual. Please nte that we d nt prvide templates r examples f the quality manual as we see this as a develpmental prcess yu will g thrugh as yur familiarise yurself with ISQC1. Leaving the prcess pen is very imprtant as different practitiners will have different manuals applicable t their wn circumstances. IFAC des have a guidance dcument n their website. Agreement with reviewer: We are generally lead by yu regarding the structure f the agreement with yur reviewer. Hwever, the agreement must cver, amngst thers, the fllwing aspects: Scpe f the review Indicating yur expectatin frm the reviewer n entering int such an agreement Reprting requirement Including aspects t be cnsidered r fcused n; Hw yu will determine engagements t be reviewed (please ensure that the agreement specifically states that the first three engagements will require a review); and Indicating the stages f an audit that wuld require a review Indicating the reprt and frmat theref t be issued by the reviewer at the end f their review.
