Club Develpment Officer Prgram (0.6FTE) is a DSR initiative acrss the state, usually in partnership with lcal gvernment, t create a cllabrative apprach t club develpment by cnnecting State Sprting Assciatins, lcal gvernment and cmmunity rganisatins t prvide leadership, educatin, training and funding supprt, in rder t be sustainable and t deliver diverse pprtunities fr peple t participate in their lcal cmmunity in a safe envirnment. Vlunteer Service Hubs (0.4FTE) exist t prmte inclusive vlunteering in lcal areas and t assist members f the public frm all backgrunds t find suitable vlunteering rles. The Hubs als prvide supprt t vlunteer invlving rganisatins in their lcal areas t assist them with recruitment, retentin and recgnitin f their vlunteers. The psitin is subject t apprval frm Vlunteering WA, funding frm Department f Sprt and Recreatin and perfrmance appraisals. 3 Key Respnsibilities and Duties: Crprate/Organisatinal T liaise with the Manager t identify, plan and develp rganisatinal and vlunteer develpment initiatives Club Develpment Undertake research f rganisatins needs and identify issues which affect Recreatin and Cmmunity Develpment strategic plans Cllabrate with Stakehlders t identify, plan and develp Sprt and Recreatin initiatives Prmte Sprt and Recreatin in East Kimberley; attend public and ther meetings as required in rder t prvide advice and recmmendatins n matters within the scpe f the psitin descriptin. In cnsultatin with the Manager and the Department f Sprt and Recreatin, wrk t achieve the bjectives f the Club Develpment Officer Funding Agreement Prepare funding applicatins and reprts as required t achieve the bjectives f the psitin. Sprt and Recreatin Assist club administratrs t meet industry standards. Facilitate the clubs ability t increase membership, with an emphasis n increasing physical activity and participatin in sprt. Facilitate the develpment f lng term club develpment plans including reference t facilities, membership trends, equipment requirements, resurce requirements, funding needs and the develpment f new clubs. Increase awareness and assist clubs t access available resurces and funding. Assist clubs t d internal audit/needs assessments. Stakehlder and Custmer Interface Establish and grw a club develpment netwrk (internal and external). Establish a clse wrking relatinship with the Department f Sprt and Recreatin and particularly the Club Develpment Officer Scheme State netwrk. Facilitate discussins t develp partnerships between clubs. Assist in develping the partnership between clubs and Cuncil and ther stakehlders. Prepare reprts and refer matters t the Manager as apprpriate. Be available after hurs and n weekends t attend meetings as required. Assist members f the public and club members with queries abut club develpment activities by telephne, persnal cntact r written crrespndence. Maintain effective and c-perative cmmunicatin with key stakehlders, t ensure ethical and transparent wrking relatinships are maintained. Human Resurce Management Prvide leadership t and supprt the develpment f club fficials and vlunteers. Attend selected industry prfessinal develpment training. 4 Vlunteer Crdinatin In cnsultatin with the Vlunteering WA staff analyse and adapt existing Vlunteering WA vlunteer services mdels t suit lcal area cnditins and needs With Vlunteering WA supprt, crdinate the establishment f a part time lcal vlunteer supprt service Crdinatin f the Hub peratins including planning and verseeing weekly vlunteer rsters, interviewing ptential new vlunteers fr the Hub, training f new vlunteers and ther general supprt as required Supervisin f all Hub vlunteers (Referral Officers) t ensure they are cnfident in their rle and prvide guidance where needed Delegatin f duties as required t Hub vlunteers (Referral Officers) In partnership with key stakehlders, plan and implement a range f prmtinal activities t shwcase the service prvided by the Hub t the lcal cmmunity In partnership with key stakehlders, plan and hst recgnitin and celebratry events in the lcal area t mark Natinal Vlunteer Week and Internatinal Vlunteer Day Ensure all databases are maintained and kept up t date and regular cntact is made with lcal vlunteer invlving rganisatins t fster effective and nging relatinships Develp a clear knwledge f the day-t-day peratins and needs f the service Prduce regular activity reprts fr key stakehlders Deliver intrductry Step int Vlunteering training wrkshps fr ptential vlunteers Supprt lcal vlunteer invlving rganisatins t practice the best methds f recruiting, managing, retaining and recgnising their vlunteers thrugh prviding advice and develping and implementing relevant resurces, training and netwrking pprtunities Cntribute t the day-t-day peratins f Vlunteering WA and respnd t requests fr supprt as required Cntribute creatively and prfessinally t the strategic directin f the Vlunteering WA Team 4 P a g e

Frmal qualificatin in training (desirable) r experience in training adults A demnstrated understanding f sprt and recreatin industry trends. Demnstrated experience in the delivery f cmmunity prgrams and prjects related t physical activity participatin and club develpment ICT and Technical Demnstrated cmpetence in Wrd, PwerPint, Excel and Publisher cmputer sftware. Sund general IT skills alng with experience in the use f databases and ther IT resurces Organisatinal Prven success in rganising a prgram f wrk and achieving targets n time Strng rganisatinal and events management skills. Creative prmtin and marketing abilities.
