AFAM prvides investment management services t the Brenninkmeijer family and its related entities. AFAM is a fully regulated Dutch asset manager. It has sme 35 emplyees, including 11 investment managers, and manages 9 asset classes fr 5 clients n the basis f 46 mandates and 21 prducts. The Senir Prtfli Manager fr impact investing reprts t the Head f the Impact Investing Team. Alng with the ther prtfli managers, he/she is respnsible fr the impact and financial perfrmance f the respective investment(s) he/she riginates and manages. Purpse f the jb and added value t the team Cntributes t client satisfactin by managing the relevant investment prtfli(s) subject t the restrictins set by the mandate and with ptimum risk diversificatin and by assuming respnsibility fr the prper management f the business line / asset class in rder t maximise perfrmance fr the client. The new hire is expected t augment team capabilities by exhibiting superir skills in direct investing, with a particular fcus n expertise in at least tw f the fllwing: Emerging markets prfessinal netwrk (with a preference fr a fcus n sub Saharan Africa); Direct investment valuatins (with applicable frmal accreditatins); Technical/thematic expertise within circular ecnmy, renewable infrastructure r credit access (with a strng preference fr a fcus n circular ecnmy). Key result areas: 1. Client satisfactin Prviding SMART input t the head f the team, enabling the client t define its Strategic Asset Allcatin (SAA) and the scial impact generated. Making a prfessinal and valuable cntributin t discussins.
2 2. Making the asset class accessible t the client in the mst attractive way pssible, including impact reprting and preassessment as well as cmmunicating inflws and utflws. 3. Cmmunicating penly and transparently regarding the plicy pursued and the results achieved. 4. Thinking practively abut the prducts/prtflis that meet current and future client needs. 5. Cntributing t maintaining and imprving client satisfactin. 6. Investment perfrmance Ensures gd investment and impact results, based n an active plicy in relatin t the chice f investments. 7. Managing the investments Is respnsible fr the investment management fr Antheia and Skps fund investments. Takes end t end respnsibility fr riginating, due diligence and presenting investment pprtunities. Has direct investment experience (this is essential) (riginatin, bard representatin). Has ultimate respnsibility (alngside the Head f the Impact Investing Team) fr the respective prtfli investments executed (incl. related areas such as risk management and legal), including minimising peratinal incidents. Suggests imprvements and seeks ptimum cllabratin within and utside the business line. Ensures crrect implementatin f all relevant prcesses within the asset class. Is expected t get up t speed n the impact dimensin and als due diligence alng that dimensin. 8. Cmplying with the peratinal framewrk Enfrces risk management plicy. Operates within the mandate fr the relevant asset class. Cmplies with all internal and external rules. Within the active plicy, takes risks t the extent this is acceptable t the client. 9. Prviding analysis and assessment Practively develps a brad and rbust visin f the financial markets and related fields (risk, IT, cmpliance, legal) and especially f his/her wn asset class; based n this, takes investment decisins relating t his/her wn asset class; defines business line management.
3 10. Respnsibility and cnsultatin Supprts the Head f the Impact Investment Team and the rest f the team in presenting impact investing pprtunities bth internally and t client stakehlders. Cntributes within the Impact Investing Team as well as the Investment Department t a prfessinal dialgue between investment managers. Cntributes t strategic impact investing targets being met. The rle invlves n team r cnstituency management respnsibilities ther than t supprt the Head f the Impact Investment Team in presenting results and investments t internal stakehlder and clients. Qualificatins: Frmal educatin Wrk experience Language skills Frmal educatin Tertiary level educatin, ability t think and wrk at an academic level. Wrk experience Direct investment experience and bard experience in ne r bth f the fllwing sectrs: renewable infrastructure r circular ecnmy. At least ne full investment cycle in private equity in an investment manager rle r at greater senirity / at least five years direct investment experience with direct line respnsibility [i.e. perfrmance evaluatin] fr either (i) EUR 100 m AUM (ii) r eight simultaneus prtfli cmpanies; r Manager/Principal r equivalent, with at least seven years experience in a financially riented tp tier management cnsultancy with expertise in impactful thematics (e.g. Bain/Bridgespan, Delitte/Mentr, Bridges Ventures) Language skills Written and spken EnglishDutch is desired but nt cmpulsry
