Pst: Emplyer Engagement Officer Emplyer: East Kilbride Credit Unin JOB DESCRIPTION Reprts t: Jhn Lange, General Manager, East Kilbride Credit Unin. Salary: 25,000 plus pensin cntributin Lcatin: East Kilbride. An element f hme wrking may als be cnsidered. A regular presence is expected within each credit unin where ht desk arrangements will be made. A nminated persn frm each credit unin participating in the prject will supprt the pst hlder when they are lcated in partner establishments. Requirement t travel: The pst hlder will be required t travel regularly t carry ut their duties acrss East Kilbride, West Lthian, Fife, Edinburgh (EH Pstcde) and Ayrshire. They will be cmfrtable wrking independently and efficiently manage their wn time and travel. The ideal candidate will have access t their wn vehicle and will be able t claim a mileage rate fr jurneys and fr ther reasnable expenses incurred in the curse f their duties. Full time / part time: Full time (35 hurs per week). Flexible wrking / secndment may be cnsidered fr a suitable candidate. Temprary / permanent: This is a fixed-term pst f tw years duratin. Extensin f the rle beynd tw years is entirely dependent n securing new funding arrangements. Abut credit unins and payrll deductin: A credit unin is a nt fr prfit, financial c-perative bdy, wned and cntrlled by its members. Credit unins help their members t manage their finances mre efficiently, ffering savings accunts but als persnal lans at attractive interest rates. Just like banks, credit unins are authrised and regulated by the Prudential Regulatin Authrity and the Financial Cnduct Authrity. Hwever, unlike banks they have n external sharehlders r investrs t satisfy. The emphasis is n prviding the best pssible service t their members whilst cmbatting financial exclusin and explitatin. Credit unins are established by cmmunities f peple wh have a cmmn bnd usually they live r wrk in the same area r wrk fr the same emplyer. 7% f peple in Sctland are members f ne f Sctland s 100+ credit unins. Payrll deductin is a valuable part f the credit unin ffering which allws an emplyee t save int a credit unin accunt directly frm their salary. ROLE OBJECTIVE: T build successful emplyer netwrks thrugh face t face, telephne and virtual business develpment, and cnvert these relatinships int emplyer payrll deductin partners t increase credit unin membership. Majr tasks: T develp and deply emplyer engagement strategies tailred t the emplyers in the cnsrtium areas: Edinburgh (EH pstcde), Ayrshire, Fife, West Lthian and East Kilbride. T visit emplyer wrkplaces and present the benefits f credit unin payrll deductin in a cmpelling way t management and staff. This will include driving increased emplyee take up f payrll deductin schemes amng the Cnsrtium s existing emplyer partners as well as securing new emplyer partners. T prvide apprpriate supprt and infrmatin t emplyers and their staff t help them understand the benefits f credit unins and the payrll deductin prcess. T wrk practively acrss the Credit Unin Cnsrtium t develp and meet emplyer cnversin targets which fulfil business aims.

T maintain a wrk plan and develp a pipeline (with supprt frm individual credit unins) f ptential emplyers wh will be apprached. T develp and maintain recrds f psitive case studies t dcument success and share best practice acrss the Cnsrtium. T undertake any ther duties which may be relevant t the pst r required fr the success f the prject. Persn specificatin The ideal candidate will be self-mtivated, with a demnstrable track recrd in building, deplying and maintaining psitive emplyer relatinships t drive new business. This is a new rle and the ideal candidate will relish the pprtunity t shape bespke emplyer engagement strategies suited t lcal labur markets. They will be cmmercially aware, pssess excellent interpersnal skills and a clear and persuasive cmmunicatin style in rder t build psitive wrking relatinships and clse sales. They will be enthusiastic abut the benefits f credit unin payrll deductin and will use this enthusiasm t sell the credit unin eths and increase membership.
