1 HOTEL: ALCUDIA PINS PERIOD: INTRODUCTION As a cmplement t the Management Review, which summarises the envirnmental activity carried ut in the centre during the perid in questin, the /CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC actins are given belw, as required fr the TRAVELIFE Sustainability standard, demnstrating the centre s cmmitment t sustainable develpment in these aspects. As part f its plicy f cmmitment t the Lcal Cmmunity, NORDOTEL has the bligatin t cntribute t the imprvement and greater well-being f the scial envirnment in which it perates, creating pprtunities fr ecnmic and scial develpment. The bjectives and achievements f the study perid were as fllws: 1. Certificatin The centre has been ISO certified since 2011, and in 2016 was certified with the new versin f the standard ISO 14001:2015, this being the secnd year that the management system has been fllwed. An external audit n this system is scheduled fr Octber The centre has been certified with the TRAVELIFE sustainability system since / 5

2 The centre is in the prcess f renewing its TRAVELIFE GOLD certificatin. 2. Integratin Strict respect f lcal culture is guaranteed. Knwledge f the destinatin is prmted thrugh thematic and prmtinal activities and is shared with custmers thrugh infrmatin presented in the centre, which is displayed n ntice bards and at receptin. We take int accunt the natural value f the envirnment in which the htel is lcated, and we respect the surrunding lcal cmmunities and ecsystems, natural parks and special prtectin areas, especially the Natural Park f Albufera de Mallrca, the areas with the greatest bidiversity n the island, the place where aquatic and marine birds are hsted, as well as ther species f fauna and flra endemic t the Balearic Islands. 3. Cllabratin and dialgue We maintain a dialgue with the scial and institutinal actrs in the Balearic Islands thrugh the Management Teams, prmting cperatin and cllabratin as regards: Cmpliance with lcal and reginal legislatin relating t the envirnment, sciety, human resurces, etc. Implementatin f plicies fr saving natural resurces, water, energy, etc. Mnitring, thrugh the websites f the Playa de Mur twn cuncil and Gvern Balear, majr annuncements and relevant news in rder t assess pprtunities t imprve and wrk twards the same gals. EXAMPLE: After the annuncement f a drught in 2017, messages t bth custmers and wrkers abut saving water were reinfrced thrugh displays in the rms, in rder t save water. After the City Cuncil's cmmunicatin t implement actins t increase the percentage f the rganic fractin in the segregatin f dmestic waste, training actins have been launched and the different departments have the means t imprve the perfrmance f the center. 4. Purchases The centre s plicy is t use, wherever pssible, prducts and services prvided by the suppliers which cmply with the centre s sustainability plicies, favring thse which als have less f an impact n the envirnment. Reducing pllutin frm transprt is a majr cnsideratin n which the chice f lcal suppliers is based wherever pssible. 68% f ur suppliers are lcal frm Balearic Islands, and the remaining 32% are natinal suppliers r frm ther cuntries. 2 / 5

Emplyment Thrugh its Crprate Plicy, NORDOTEL is cmmitted t cmplying with emplyment cntracts, in accrdance with the current legislatin, prmting the integratin f the lcal cmmunity thrugh a high percentage f jbs ffered. Therefre, every year we endeavur t measure, alleviate and ffset the impact f ur activities n the envirnment, implementing plicies t save energy, water and resurces in general and making ecnmic savings in the wrkplace. 8.
