5 Current situatin actins Establish the discussin t the plitical level Signed the Cperatin Prgramm (CP) between UN RCO and GA Under preparatin CP UNDP, CP UNFPA, CP UNICEF The Strategic Planning and Develpment Unit, within the Department fr Develpment, Financing and Freign Aid, in the Prime Minister s Office is a central plicy crdinatin structure that crdinate and guide the prcess f SDGs. The main actrs in this prcess are als INSTAT, MFA and UN Agencies in Albania. There are established 4 pilt Integrated Plicy Management Grup t ensure implementatin and mnitring f sectral strategies. SDG indicatrs are included in the Official Statistical Prgramme (draft versin t be passed in and apprved by Parliament in early December 2016) UN Res.Crdinatr has appinted an SDG Fcal Pint wh wrks in clse cnsultatin with UN Agencies in the cuntry and natinal SDG Fcal Pint. UN is advcating t mainstream and streamline inclusin f SDGs mnitring and aligning with the EU integratin prcesses and as part f the wrk f IPMGs. UN agencies including UNFPA have prvided thrugh feed-back in the prcess f develping natinal indicatrs t reflect als ICPD based SDGs. 5

6 Current situatin actins, ICPD based SDGs An infrmal UN INSTAT grup has been established t: Identify data prviders and data surces fr SDG indicatrs; Identify data gaps and methdlgical gaps; Take int accunt data disaggregatin requirements in the assessment; These stcktaking assessments be led by INSTAT in clse crdinatin with relevant data prducers, and in cnsultatin with civil sciety and internatinal rganisatins and develpment partners; INSTAT has drafted the 5 years Official Statistical Prgramme, , which prvides cmpulsry bligatin frm all institutins t cllect data and prvide data fr all indicatrs in the Plan. ICPD based SDGs are included in the Prgramme and UNFPA will supprt with methdlgy and technical capacity ensure that ICPD based SDGs indicatrs are prperly cllected and reprted regularly. 6

8 Incrpratin f the SDGs in natinal develpment framewrks Effrts t implement the glbal develpment gals - 17 gals, 169 targets and 229 indicatrs that need t be achieved by 2030: SPU/DDFFA, with the supprt f UNDP implemented in 2015 a pilt prject t develp and test SDG16 targets and indicatrs (21 gvernance indicatrs were develped, analysis t establish linkages between the NSDI II pillars & sub-themes with the different SDGs). A baseline analysis was carried t define the level f integratin f SDGs- gals, targets, and SDG s indicatrs int the NSDI II and sectral prgrammes (assessment at the gal, target and indicatr levels f the NSDI and related strategic framewrk- a set f 50+ strategies, natinal plans and plicy dcuments). DDFFA, in clse cperatin with the UN ORC, UN agencies in Tirana, INSTAT and ther institutins, assisted by internatinal expertise will prepare: a baseline reprt - identify where the cuntry stands in relatin t SDG mainstreaming in terms f data statistics, where it needs t be reflecting n the baseline t measure prgress. elabrate a tw year Natinal Actin Plan fr the implementatin f the SDGs in the cuntry, as well as make recmmendatins abut the path t take until
