1 The prject «Our Scial Eurpe thrugh Lcal Civic Participatin» was funded with the supprt f the Eurpean Unin under the Prgramme "Eurpe fr Citizens" Applicable t the Strand 2 Measure 2.3 "Civil Sciety Prjects" 10 events have been carried ut within this prject: Event 1 Participatin: The event invlved 29 citizens, including 4 participants frm the city f Dublin (Ireland), 21 participants frm the city f Turin (Italy), 2 participants frm the city f Iasi (Rmania), 2 participants frm the city f Brussels (Belgium) Lcatin / Dates: The event tk place in Cnsrzi Sciale Abele Lavr (Turin, Italy), frm 25/02/2015 t 26/02/2015 Shrt descriptin: The aim f the event was The Kick ff Meeting During the kick ff meeting prject bjectives were clarified, needs in partner cuntries were identified. Partners engaged in a half day study visit f best practices f civic engagement in Italy. Using a peer review methdlgy partners identified the best practice aspects which will infrm the prject and develpment f a mdel f practice f civic participatin. Each partner gave a shrt verview f their rganisatin. An verview f the prject was given alng with financial and administrative aspects. A grup discussin tk place regarding Civic Participatin and the meeting ended with the Study Visit f Turin Best Practice. Planning the directin f the prject and discussin f activities and deadlines tk place fllwing the Identificatin f Needs in Partner Cuntries. The Kick ff Meeting ended with a Peer Review f the Study Visit Gd Practice and identifying the best practice aspects which will infrm the prject and develpment f a mdel f practice fllwed by a summary and cnclusin.

Participants had an input n the planning f lcal seminars, reviewed best practices in each cuntry and discussed the current situatin/challenges/pprtunities in their wn cuntry. Much emphasis was placed n develping a culture f empwerment and active citizenship. Event 4 Participatin: The event invlved 32 citizens, including 4 participants frm the city f Dublin (Ireland), 25 participants frm the city f Iasi (Rmania), 1 participants frm the city f Turin (Italy), 2 participants frm the city f Brussels (Belgium) Lcatin / Dates: The event tk place in Alaturi de Vi Rmania Fundatin (Iasi, Rmania), frm 06/07/2015 t 07/07/2015 Shrt descriptin: The aim f the event was The Secnd Partner Meeting During the secnd partner meeting Partners participated in a study visit f best practices and utilised the peer review apprach in identifying the cmmn elements which may be transferable acrss the partnership. Partners als undertk a review f the pilt preparatry training and utlined hw it will be implemented in each cuntry. Using the research findings partners reviewed the planning f lcal seminar activities and the prtal develpment. Each partner gave a presentatin n their wn preparatry desk research. Partners then participated in a peer review f Gd Practice and the meeting ended with the Study Visit f Iasi Best Practice. Partners engaged in a peer review f gd practice, frm this the partners began t discuss the best ways t develp a mdel f practice and what key elements wuld be included in the mdel. The bjectives fr the citizen prtal were utlined and the next steps agreed. Partners gave presentatins n their wn lcal seminar 1. A financial and administrative update was given fllwed by a summary and cnclusin.

3 Event 5 Participatin: The event invlved 78 citizens, including 33 participants frm the city f Dublin (Ireland) & frm the city f Brussels (Belgium), 22 participants frm the city f Turin (Italy), 23 participants frm the city f Iasi (Rmania). Certain rganisatins pilted the training utilising lcal cmmunity wrkers, while thers directly engaged with the disadvantaged grups themselves. Tls and techniques were tested in rder t mtivate and further engage the target grup t facilitate their increased cmmitment and empwer them in active participatin. Event 6 Participatin: The event invlved 28 citizens, including 4 participants frm the city f Dublin (Ireland), 2 participants frm the city f Iasi (Rmania), 2 participants frm the city f Turin (Italy), 20 participants frm the city f Brussels (Belgium) Lcatin / Dates: The event tk place in Ensie (Liege, Belgium), frm 09/11/2015 t 10/11/2015 Shrt descriptin: The aim f the event was Third Partner Meeting This is the third Partner Meeting as part f the Our Scial Eurpe Prject. It was held ver tw days, Nvember 8 10 th The meeting was hsted by Ensie in Liege, Belgium. Partners frm Ireland, Italy, Rmania and Belgium were in attendance. Partners identified PPN develpment in each f their cuntries pst preparatry training and presented them t the partnership, identifying bth challenges and strengths. Partners were taken thrugh the results gathered frm the Develpment and Outcmes f Lcal Seminar 2 and f the Evaluatin questinnaire cmpleted by all wh attended. cncluded with a Study Visit f best practices in Belgium. The main fcus f the secnd day was t cme up with a plan f actin fr the Citizen Prtal. Partners brke in t tw grups and discussed what the design f the prtal shuld be and what cntent wuld be present n the prtal. The prject timeline was reviewed, the events that have been cmpleted and the dates fr the remaining events were set. The meeting ended with a summary and cnclusin. The partners thanked Ensie fr hsting the meeting and fr making the meeting a cnstructive, infrmative and dynamic pprtunity.

Representatives frm the Dublin City Participatin Netwrks, Gvernment representatives, NGO Cmmissin representatives, and representatives frm Scial Enterprises were present. Participants were given an verview f the PPN in partner cuntries. A summary f each partner s lcal seminar 3 was upladed t the prject website and participants were encuraged t review each f the partner cuntries Lcal Seminar 3. The PPN Citizens Prtal was pilted and participants tk part in an nline demnstratin. Feedback was gathered and recmmendatins fr the prtal were taken n bard. Event 8 Participatin: The event invlved citizens frm all f the partner cuntries and additinal cuntries. Lcatin / Dates: The event tk place in: Dublin, Ireland 2016 Turin, Italy June 2016 Iasi, Rmania June 2016 Liege, Belgium June 2016 Shrt descriptin: The aim f the event was the Citizen Prtal Develpment An Our Scial Eurpe website was designed fr the prject, it included the Prject Summary, infrmatin n each f the Prject Partners, access t the Preparatry Desk Research that was cmpleted by partners, infrmatin n all Events carried ut thrughut the lifetime f the prject, and the Citizens Prtal. A Ggle Analytics accunt was created as part f the Citizens Prtal t recrd all activity. T date the Prtal has had ver 600 visitrs. The Citizens Prtal was designed with the intentin t prmte Civic Engagement. T prvide an pen space fr citizens t make suggestins/recmmendatins fr their lcal area. T infrm citizens f upcming lcal events. T prvide the cntact infrmatin/ links fr lcal authrities and relevant sites. T encurage the sharing f ideas. Access t lcal grups within the citizen s lcal cmmunity. A space fr citizens t raise any issues/ cncerns that they may have fr their lcal area. Infrmatin n lcal Public Participatin Netwrks, and cntact details fr their lcal PPN representatives. A sectin that prvides a space where users can chse t becme mre engaged, and t get actively invlved in participating in a demcratic way. It will ffer infrmatin n the training prgramme develped fr the Our Scial Eurpe prject, fr bth individuals and interested grups.

An up t date summary was given n all f the events carried ut within the life time f the prject and the learning utcmes frm the events shared. Participants included representatives frm a newly frmed Scial Inclusin Cmmittee, the City Mayr f Turin, and Ensie members. In presenting the prject it was hped that the learning utcmes wuld be transferred and begin t develp a lcal sustainable plan. Event 10 Participatin: The event invlved 60 citizens, including all five f the Prject Partners. Lcatin / Dates: The event tk place in Dublin, Ireland, frm 15/06/2016 t 17/06/2016 Shrt descriptin: The aim f the event was the Final Partnership meeting. The Final Event cnsisted f a Final Partner meeting and Study Visit and a Final Cnference. It included the signing ff n all events and the disseminatin f the prject. Final Management meeting and Study Visit June 15 th The final partner meeting was held in Ballyfermt Partnership in Dublin. There were nine partners present, representing all five partner rganisatins. Each f the partners presented n their wn Lcal Seminar s 3&4. The final preparatins fr the final cnference were discussed and any changes/ recmmendatins identified. Each partner was infrmed f what their rle fr the day wuld be and all lgistics were utlined. Partners were briefed n the wrk required fr the cmpletin f the Final Reprt and final deadlines were agreed. The meeting cncluded with a Study Visit t Cherry Orchard cmmunity gardens and equine centre. Final Cnference June 17 th The Final Cnference tk place in Dublin s Smck Alley Theatre. The aim f the event was t present n the findings and results f the Our Scial Eurpe prject and t demnstrate the methds develped t increase civic participatin. Participants were intrduced t the varius Events and Activities that were undertaken by the partners during the prject; the Partner Meetings in all fur partner cuntries, the Preparatry Desk Research, the creatin f the Citizen s Prtal and the Prject website, and each f the partners Lcal Seminar s. Each f the partners presented n their experience thrughut the life-time f the prject. The event cncluded with a grup exercise t encurage netwrking and t highlight the different ways t engage different cmmunity grups. Prject infrmatin and cpies f the Preparatry Desk Research were made available t all participants.
