1 HOW TO ENROLL IN A TOUCHNET PAYMENT PLAN G t the TuchNet lgin page. G t OR Lg in t mydelval; under I Want T Pay fr Cllege, click n Set up Payment Plan. Lg in t the TuchNet website. (PARENTS: T receive reminders f mnthly installments, yu must lg in with Authrized User credentials rather than student credentials.) Authrized Users: Enter yur authrized user and passwrd in the Authrized Users bx. Students: Enter yur DelVal lgin ID (nt student ID) and passwrd in the Students and Staff bx. Click n the Payment Plans tab. Click n Enrll Nw. In the Select Term drpdwn list, select 2017/SP fr a spring term plan and click Select. Page 1 f 6

2 Only ne spring term plan is available at a time. Fr example, the screen fr the Spring Payments plan wuld lk like this: Review the details f the plan and verify that yu wish t cntinue with the enrllment prcess. Click Cntinue. In the Payment Plan Ttal field, type the amunt f yur payment plan and verify that yu typed the intended amunt. (D nt type $ sign r cmma.) Amunt must cver ut-f-pcket cst fr the spring term. TuchNet will nt prevent yu frm entering an incrrect amunt, but a hld will be placed n the student s accunt and the plan may be terminated if the amunt is t lw. (In this example, the student s spring ut-f-pcket cst is $5, The user shuld type in the Payment Plan Ttal field.) Click Display Schedule. If yur payment plan des nt require a dwn payment, the payment schedule will display. Page 2 f 6

3 If yur payment plan requires a dwn payment: The minimum dwn payment amunt, if any, will appear at the tp f the screen. Fr example, if the minimum dwn payment is $2,722.00, the fllwing message appears: Type the minimum amunt in the Dwn Payment field and verify that yu typed the intended amunt. (D nt type $ sign r cmma.) Yu may type a larger amunt if yu wish t increase the dwn payment, but yu may nt type a smaller amunt. Click Display Schedule again. The fllwing message will display: Click OK t display the payment schedule. Review yur payment schedule. If yu are nt certain that yu can affrd the specified payments n the specified due dates, click Cancel. (IMPORTANT: The due dates cannt be changed.) Otherwise, click Cntinue. In the Select Payment Methd drpdwn list, select ne f the fllwing ptins and click Select: New Electrnic Check: Enrllment fee, installments, and any dwn payment will be autmatically withdrawn frm a US bank checking r savings accunt. 4 Select the accunt type and accurately type the ruting number and the bank accunt number. It takes several business days fr TuchNet t verify yur banking infrmatin. Cnfirm the bank accunt number by typing it in reverse as indicated n the screen. Type the name and billing address fr the bank accunthlder. T save the banking infrmatin fr direct depsit in case yu qualify fr a refund in the future, select the Check Here check bx. In the Save Payment Methd As field, type a descriptin f yur chice fr the bank accunt. Click Cntinue. Review the payment plan agreement until yu understand the terms and cnditins. T accept the terms and cnditins, select the I Agree bx at the bttm f the agreement. Click Cntinue. Review the ACH payment agreement until yu understand the terms and cnditins. T accept the terms and cnditins, select the I Agree bx at the bttm f the agreement. T cmplete the payment plan enrllment, click Cntinue. Yur payment receipt will display. Otherwise, click Cancel. Credit Card via PayPath: Select t autmatically charge the enrllment fee, installments, and any dwn payment t a credit card. TuchNet will charge a 2.75% service fee fr each payment. (D nt sign up with a debit card. Instead, avid the service fee by selecting the New Electrnic Check ptin and using the ruting number and bank accunt number assciated with the debit card rather than the debit card number). Review the payment plan agreement until yu understand the terms and cnditins. T agree t the terms and cnditins, select the I Agree bx at the bttm f the agreement. Click Cntinue t display the PayPath Welcme page. Click Cntinue t display the Payment Amunt Infrmatin page. Page 4 f 6

5 Verify the transactin amunt. Click Cntinue t display the Payment Card Infrmatin page. Enter yur card infrmatin. T cmplete the payment plan enrllment, click Cntinue. Yur payment receipt will display. Otherwise, click Cancel. Previusly saved payment methd (if applicable): If yu saved checking r savings accunt infrmatin fr a previus payment plan r nline payment, the enrllment fee, installments, and any dwn payment will be autmatically withdrawn using the saved. N service fee is charged. Click Cntinue. Review the payment plan agreement until yu understand the terms and cnditins. T agree t the terms and cnditins, select the I Agree bx at the bttm f the payment plan agreement. Click Cntinue. Review the ACH payment agreement until yu understand the terms and cnditins. T accept the terms and cnditins, select the I Agree bx at the bttm f the agreement. T cmplete the payment plan enrllment, click Cntinue. Yur payment receipt will display. Otherwise, click Cancel. Yu are nw enrlled in a payment plan! Page 5 f 6

6 IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT DELVAL PAYMENT PLANS If yu are enrlled in an annual payment plan, yu shuld nt enrll in a spring term plan. Hwever, yu shuld verify that the remaining balance f yur annual plan will cver yur spring csts. Yur payment plan will be terminated if any enrllment fee, installment, r dwn payment are returned by the bank r refused by the credit card cmpany. Yu will need t enrll in a new plan and pay a new enrllment fee. If n plans are available, yu will need t immediately pay yur remaining balance in full. Enter yur bank accunt r credit card infrmatin accurately and ensure that the funds are available n each autmatic withdrawal/charge date. Fr credit card payment plans, cntact yur card cmpany in advance and ask hw t authrize scheduled future installments. Installment due dates cannt be changed. Payment plan balances d nt autmatically adjust t changes in a student s tuitin accunt. T adjust future payment amunts, the student must bursar@delval.edu frm his r her DelVal address at least fur (4) business days befre the next scheduled autmatic payment. DelVal reserves the right t refuse any adjustment request. If a family member wishes t receive mnthly installment reminder s, the student must set up that individual as an authrized user and the individual must lg in with authrized user credentials t enrll in the payment plan. Otherwise, nly the student will receive any payment plan s. Yu will nt be autmatically enrlled in a new payment plan when the payment plan is cmpleted. Annual plans: D nt enrll in a spring term plan, but yu will need enrll in a new plan next year. Single-term plans: Yu need t enrll in a new plan fr the next academic term. All payments are autmatically withdrawn frm yur bank accunt r charged t yur card. Dwn payments and enrllment fees are autmatically withdrawn r charged n the day f enrllment. Mnthly installments are autmatically withdrawn r charged n each scheduled date. Ensure the crrect amunt is in yur bank accunt befre enrllment and befre each payment date. Payments made utside f the payment plan will nt be cnsidered as part f the payment plan. Separate payments will nt substitute fr r cancel the scheduled autmatic withdrawals/charges. Page 6 f 6
