Intrductin f new Student Representative Ryan Lin and rundtable intrductins. 2. Fiscal Reprt and Budget/IEC Calendar Update (attachment): (Rsa R., Jan S., Kristina A., and Meghan C.) 3. Accreditatin Standards Alignment: (Irene M., Kristina A., and Barbara M-S.) Fiscal (Barbara M-S and Rsa R.) General (Barbara M-S and Kristina A.) 25 mins. Rsa Ryce reviewed the Integrated Planning and Budgeting Prcess Calendar changes with the cmmittee and prvided an update f actin taken at the last Budget Cmmittee Meeting. Discussin was held regarding the changes t be implemented: Middle f the first page n the right, the tw bxes in red were nt changed and cmbined with bx three. The language was revised by the Budget Cmmittee. Previusly this was in a separate bx; hwever, it was determined that that it shuld be revised and cmbined. Unit PIEs are nw due May 15 instead f May 1. The calendar still needs t be reviewed by IEC. Budget and IEC will take t PAC s that Kristina and Meghan can review send frward fr verificatin. Finalizatin f the calendar is in prgress. Budget has said yes, if IEC apprves, then it will be taken t PAC as a recmmendatin. 25 mins. There was a review f the ACCJC timeline fr submittal f the annual reprt that is due at the end f March.
2 The Accreditatin Steering Cmmittee (ACS) must d a final review, but IEC must review prir t ACS and we generally have t ask fr an extensin annual reprt cntains infrmatin regarding enrllment in general curses versus distance educatin. It s nt abut hw many peple, but number f curses. Ns. 10 and 11 are irrelevant because we dn t ffer crrespndence curses. Ns are institutin set standards als knwn as gals and these are gals that we said we wuld like t achieve. First line is their gal and the secnd line is ur gal. We are ding fairly well in meeting and exceeding ur gals. It is anticipated that with the Guided Pathways 5-year plan this will be pumped up quite a bit. Barbara M-S participated in the webinar n Mnday and will prvide Irene with summary ntes. Barbara will send t Lisa fr distributin. What will be different is that they are nw lking at 8-12 metrics dwn frm 180. N Career Technical Educatin (CTE) can g t 90. Actually, this will increase frm 60 t 90. Infrmatin t be sent t the Dean s t ask them if the institutin set standard still lks crrect. T clarify N. 18 Histtech is nt a licensure prgram. It s a certificatin prgram which is ptinal and has been mved ut f the reprting prcess. N. 19 Jb Placement Rate is difficult t ascertain. Emily and Annell did great wrk n Questin Ns Mark prvided sme key infrmatin as well.
3 On the last page related t Student Services, the cmbinatin f numbers were prvided by Jim Ocamp and Meghan Chen and the infrmatin was based n PIEs and utcmes assessed. N. 23 the licensure pass rate changes every year and is based n the verall state average. Rsa Ryce (guest) prvided an update n the Fiscal Reprt and discussed reprting requirements; specifically N. 11. She stated that nt all clleges have changed because nt all have retirement benefits. 4. IEC Purpse and Functin Statement (attachment): (Kristina A. and Irene M.) Mt. SAC is very particular and sme clleges will prvide cverage until a certain age; hwever, Mt. SAC prvides lifetime insurance cverage. We had t align t certain standards. Rsa als discussed sme terminlgy and reprting changes. Infrmatin was sent t the accreditatin team t shw hw we reprt and they tld us what t d until they can determine the reprting standards next year. Only a handful f the clleges had t reprt the new way. The ACCJC wants us t reprt a certain way. It s imprtant t nte N. 16 and that we may want t bring this frward as we have t submit this reprt in rder t remain in cmpliance. 15 mins. There was a review f the Purpse & Functin Statement. At this time, nthing needs t be changed; hwever, prir t the end f this year, this may change because the Accreditatin Steering Cmmittee (ACS) may ask that we add smething t this t gather evidence fr next accreditatin reprt. TracDat and Args t be deleted frm N. 2. The membership fr Student Services was reviewed. The questin was asked as t whether r nt we shuld always have a Student Services Rep fr IEC as n-ging appintments r ther? The agreement is that nging is listed if appintment is by title. An appintment frm Student Services wuld have a term.
4 5. PIE Wrkshps Update: (Michelle S. and Pedr S.) Discussin was held regarding the need r usefulness f having tw Student Services Reps. Marty t fllw up with Mari t see if he is able t attend the meetings r find a replacement. Grace t reprt back with a request frm Student Services fr an appintment t the Cmmittee. Tabled fr next meeting pending infrmatin frm Marty and Grace. 25 mins The fllwing wrkshps have been cmpleted: Kinesilgy, Technlgy & Health, Student Services, Library and Learning Resurces, Schl f Cntinuing Educatin (SCE), Arts, Natural Science, Humanities, and Marketing. The week f April 9 th, Business Divisin and Funders Office will receive their training. Pedr is wrking n the manager PIE. 1-n1 training Pedr is wrking n the manager PIE. One-n-ne training t be dne fr Pedr is wrking n manager pie and will have utreach Michele will d 1n 1 training fr President s Office staff t be cnducted. Michelle stated that they have received excellent feedback frm Student Services that was specific t them and the training was well received. Irene als stated that she has been receiving great feedback n everything as well. Many f thse that have cmmented have stated that they hands-n training has been extremely helpful. Negative cmments have been that the prgram is slw which culd be a result f multiple users f the prgram at nce. Staff t fllw up with the data prvider fr pssible slutins. The data may need t be in a read nly frmat. Outcmes as new members ask hw their wrk cntributes t planning, we want t make sure they are supprting the prcess with the ability t see hw thers use the data.
