The building consists of mechanical and electrical rooms, building service storage, a research laboratory, administrative offices, and a greenhouse. The Life Safety Code classifies the building as Mixed Occupancy (part Business, part Storage). The Natural History Survey Greenhouse has a manual and automatic fire alarm system. One manual pull station is located at the first floor exit from Room 101 to 111. Automatic fire detection is located in the lower floor (Room 001).
