Interest that yuth started shwing fr a magazine f this kind, made peple invlved directly r indirectly in the magazine, t wrk arund the clck fr bringing in frnt f the reader, always n time, true, fact-based, transparent infrmatin n the yuth prblems, gender, demcracy, avcatin, peple rights, life bstacles, educatin, activities, visins, envirnment, pen sciety, etc. We believe that the bjectives put in frnt f us have been achieved in a surprising way. New skillful yung jurnalists have develped, being brught up t surface thrugh their vlunteer invlvement in the magazine. Awareness n things f general interest, which was ne f ur main gals, has been raised t a level that has never been befre. 3 A) Infrmatin abut the leading structure and persnnel Organizatin leading structure is made ut f peple frm age 26-27, while the persnnel is mainly made up f yung students, and frm the secndary schl students, ut f them there are 12 regular emplyees (7 females and 5 men) and ther c-wrkers. All the wrks have been dne in vluntary manner, and all that have wrked in are members f the Nn-Gvernmental Organizatin Syri i Vizinit. The highest bdy f the Organizatin is the Members Assembly, which is made ut f all the rganizatin members. Members Assembly elects the Executive Directr, Prject Implementer and the Administratr, that take ver Organizatin peratin and functining f wrks fr the prjects that are determined by the Members Assembly. 4 B) Imprtant prjects in the past The mst imprtant prject fr ur rganizatin was and remains publicatin f the mnthly yuth magazine Vizini (12 issues published t date). Dnr: USAID-KTI funded 12 issues until September Articles that ur magazine deals with have the intentin t make yuth aware in art, culture, sprt, pen sciety, drugs, envirnment, prstitutin, turism, educatin, technlgy, fashin, scial issues and ther gd and bad things that yuth f ur sciety is facing tday. Magazine structure is divided int: Culture 20%, Art & Music 20%, Entertainment 20%, Sprt 10%, Yuth and scial prblems 15%, ther 15%. Targeted number f readers is f ages 14 t 28, and they are all arund Ksv. The first three issues f the magazine were distributed nly in Peja Municipality, t cntinue after frm the furth issue in the entire Dukagjini Regin. With the beginning f implementatin f the third prject funded again by USAID/KTI, issues f the cming six mnths were distributed in entire Ksv. Distributin is made pssible thrugh Rilindja which takes 25% frm the sld, and it des its distributin in 80% f the Ksv newspaper selling pints. Accrding t an assessment perfrmed by Galp Internatinal, ur magazine is mstly read in Peja, than Prishtina, Gjakva, Kastrit, etc. Number f sld issues has gne up t 60% and it has managed t becme the irresistible magazine fr yuth. As new prjects f the rganizatin have als been: Organizing f many imprtant events n the ccasin f The Yuth Week that tk place in September 2001, where the activities tk place in Special Schl fr Blind Peple in Peja that was that was supprted by the Peja Municipality. During this ceremny there was a rich art prgrams by the pupils f this schl. At the end a ccktail was rganized fr the invited peple and participants. 4 frm 6

5 Organizing the magazine successful annual in September Lcal citizens and lcal firms supprted rganizing this annual. The annual was rganized n September 29, 2001 in Karagaç Camp in Peja. All the peple that assisted and supprted ur magazine during that year were participating this evening, amng them: Gverning bdies f Peja Municipality (UNMIK, OSCE, Municipality, KFOR, TMK, etc), artists frm all Ksv (singers, painters, designers, etc), sprts peple, new skilful yung peple f different scpes f cultural and scial life, dnrs etc. During this evening there were sme fashin shws, then sme shws prepared by the members f ur rganizatin, an exhibitin with arund 60 paintings f Peja yung peple and a part f the Art Academy students. It is very imprtant t be mentined the awards that were given t the winners f first places in: New talent, the best sprt persn f the year, the best pair f the city, and Face f the Vizini. There were arund 1000 peple (with special invitatins) and the event tk place frm 17:00 t 24:00. C) FINANCE All the inputs during this perid were dnatins frm USAID, and the input frm the yuth magazine Vizini. Received and spended funds are as fllws in the table. 5 frm 6

6 Perspectives fr year 2002 As a perspective fr year 2002 was the way t slving hw the selfinputs be higher than the received dnatins. Cncentratin n the Vizini yuth magazine cntinuatin Opening f a library that wuld make interested yuth pssible t get varius bks fr a symblic price, but with intentin that the bk starts being mre read amng ur yuth. Membership and symblic payment f the NGO SiV members Opening f a CD Club, that wuld make yuth wrk with cmputer way t easier, thrugh the different cmputer prgrams and their entertainment thrugh as less expensive ways t watch mvies and play games. Organizatin Cngress that is expected t take place by the end f year Organizatin and persnnel bjectives still remain: Yuth awareness fr their invlvement in public institutins and the scial life in general, as well as prper infrmatin f different activities, events f imprtance, demcracy, peple s rights, gender, initiatives f the future leaders yuth respnsibilities fr the future, educatin, art, sprt, music, envirnment etc. 6 frm 6
