Statements Mission Free To Live, Inc. is a no-kill animal sanctuary that houses approximately 150 dogs and 150 cats that previously were lost, abandoned or abused. Total care is provided for their health and well-being. Adoptions are the first and third Saturdays at the Edmond PetSmart and 5 days a week directly from the facility. Free To Live encourages people to adopt pets from local animal shelters and promotes awareness about responsible pet ownership, spaying/neutering and the tragedy of pet overpopulation. Background Free To Live opened its doors to the public in August of We are a true no-kill sanctuary. The only time euthanasia is ever practiced is when an animal is incurably ill and suffering.free To Live is situated on 20 acres and consists of several buildings for the animals, including an isolation unit for both dogs and cats, large kennels with spacious outdoor runs, senior areas and special needs facilities. All of our animal facilities have indoor and outdoor areas. All cat buildings and the senior building for the dogs are air conditioned, and the remaining dog kennels all have large fans to help keep the air circulating and the dogs cool in the summer.all kennel and cattery areas are cleaned and sanitized each day and the animals are given nutritionally balanced food, with special diets supplied to those who need it. Excellent medical care is provided by two Edmond veterinary clinics. All animals at Free To Live are spayed or neutered, wormed and given vaccinations and health tests before being put up for adoption.we have two homes on our grounds, one for the kennel coordinator and one for the cattery coordinator, so someone is on the grounds 24 hours a day. Someone is always available for emergencies or to care for animals that need special care or watched over. CEO/Executive Director Statement We care for every animal from the moment they step paw on property. From vet care to compassion, those animals who do not get adopted live out their days with us. We are currently at 50 percent seniors (aged seven and older) and with this comes significant additional costs to include senior wellness checks, supplements and dentals. We never discriminate based on age, temperament or medical need. We believe all of these animals deserve the opportunity to live! 3 Animal Sanctuary Description Category Free To Live animal sanctuary operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides housing, food, and medical care for approximately 150 dogs and 150 cats. Care for the animals is always available, with 2 full-time employees living on the premises. Facility is open to the public from 10:00am to 5:00pm all days except Wednesdays and holidays. She has more than 10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and communications with her most recent position as assistant vice president for development at the University of Central Oklahoma. Through this role she managed the communication goals and outreach for the development office, focusing specifically on brand awareness and support of annual giving goals. She has a passion for animal welfare and local nonprofits, and hopes to help Free to Live increase its presence in the state and ensure its sustainability moving forward. A graduate of OKConnect Class 9, she is a board member for PAMBE Ghana, an innovative school for bilingual childcentered education from pre-kindergarten to grade 6 in rthern Ghana. She received her master s degree from Oklahoma State University. Reagan lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, Jason, and their 5 ½ rescue fur kids. She says the half is for a dachshund neighbor dog who has decided Reagan s house is just more fun.
