Temprary uses shall nt invlve the cnstructin r alteratin f any permanent building r structure. Temprary structures r uses that require a building permit are nt required t submit a temprary use permit applicatin prir t submitting a building permit applicatin. The applicant must submit a cmplete applicatin packet cnsisting f the fllwing: Cmpleted Currituck Cunty. Any ther dcumentatin/site plan deemed necessary by the administratr. Fr Special Events: Applicatin Fee ($50) waived fr nnprfit events. A site plan drawn t scale including the items listed in the temprary use permit design standards checklist. Fr Temprary Tents: Applicatn Fee ($50) A site plan that includes all existing structures and vehicular use areas, lcatin f prpsed tent(s), prpsed vehicular use areas, and prpsed setbacks frm prperty lnes. Number f Cpies Submitted: 2 Cpies f ALL required dcuments. 1 PDF digital cpy f all plans AND dcuments, if required by administratr. Step 2: Staff Review and Actin Once an applicatin is determined cmplete, it will be distributed t all apprpriate staff and review agencies fr review and cmment. A Temprary Use Permit shall be apprved n a finding that the applicant demnstrates the prpsed temprary use, temprary structure, r special event cmplies with the relevant standards in sectin 4.4 Temprary Use Standards. Once all requirements are met and permit fees are paid the permit will be issued. Apprved permits must be signed by the wner r applicant. The fllwing temprary tents are subject t review by the fire preventin team (Planning and Cmmunity Develpment, EMS/Fire Marshal, Lcal Fire Chief(s), and Sheriff s Department): Temprary tents pen n all sides that exceed 700 square feet (aggregate area). Wall style tents that exceed 400 square feet. Inflatable style tents (i.e. children s mn walk) that exceed 400 square feet.
