3 Cntract Infrmatin 2018 Summer Intern Husing Prgram dates are frm 5/19 t 7/30 (Rainfrest) r 8/4 (RVA). Shrt Term Husing (STH) is available befre these dates and requires a separate Shrt Term Husing Cntract. If yu have been apprved by UNM RLSH fr STH befre May 19th, select the Spring STH ptin as well as the weeks yu are requesting fr the Intern Husing Prgram. Intern husing cntracts require a minimum f 4 weeks. Weeks run Saturday thrugh Friday, with check-ins and checkuts n Saturdays. Like a htel, if yu check ut befre 12:00 pm, yu d nt need t pay fr the day that yu check ut. If yu select ldging at the Rainfrest but space is nt available, yu may be assigned t Rednd Village Apartments. Please select all weeks that yu intend t ldge with us. Yu must select at least 4 weeks. 4 Summer Intern Husing Prgram Terms and Cnditins UNM RLSH Applicatin and Cntract ELIGIBILITY: All student interns must be registered fr an internship that directly crrelates t the pursuit f their educatinal degree. Exceptins t these eligibility requirements may be granted by the UNM RLSH Office in its sle and abslute discretin. 1. NON REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE: The UNM residence hall applicatin will nt be cnsidered withut payment f the nn-refundable applicatin fee. The nn-refundable applicatin fee shall nt be refunded t the student. 2. TERM: The term f this agreement is ne applicable summer sessin fr rm. 3. RATES: Rm rates are published by the UNM RLSH Office Summer Intern Husing Infrmatin Sheet which is made a part f the n-campus student husing Summer Intern Husing Prgram applicatin and cntract. 4. ROOM ASSIGNMENT: Insfar as space and availability allws, cnsideratin will be given t an applicant s chice f residence hall rm. Student rm assignments will be furnished upn arrival and check-in fr the applicable summer sessin. 5. FAILURE TO OCCUPY ASSIGNED ROOM: Occupancy begins and ends n the published residence hall perating dates. Residence hall reservatins must be claimed by 10:00 pm n the start date f yur cntract. Failure t claim the space by such a time may cnstitute an autmatic terminatin f the cntract, and a 200 N Shw Fee t be applied per the Summer Intern Husing Infrmatin Sheet. 6. AMENITIES: UNM RLSH prvides husekeeping services fr cleaning and sanitatin f public areas nly. Students are required t keep their living areas clean, safe and sanitary. Each resident must furnish his/her wn pillw, blanket, persnal twels and bed linens. UNM RLSH furnishes each resident with utilities, a bed, chest f drawers, desk, chair, night stand and clset space. In the residence hall apartments, furniture is als prvided fr the shared living area and kitchen/dining space. 7. PARKING: Parking permits are required fr n campus parking and can be purchased with applicatin r in persn thrugh UNM Parking and Transprtatin Services. 8. TERMINATION: The fllwing shall gvern terminatin f this agreement. A. By UNM: UNM RLSH Office may terminate this agreement at any time and take pssessin f resident s rm: if resident fails t make any payment when due; fr breach f this agreement; if resident fails t take ccupancy by 10:00 pm n the first day f their cntract; as a cnsequence f any disciplinary actin against the student; r, fr vilatin f any law, rdinance, r regulatin, lcated in the Residence Life and Student Husing Living Guide and/r in University plicy. B. By Student: Resident may terminate this agreement at the beginning f the applicable summer sessin by delivering written ntice f terminatin t UNM RLSH Office fr the fllwing: 1) If such ntice is received prir t their first day f cntract, any rm and bard payments received will be refunded t resident, less a cancellatin charge as specified in the Summer Intern Husing Infrmatin Sheet. 2) If such ntice is received after the first date f cntract, resident shall be liable fr cntract release charges/frfeitures as specified in Summer Intern Husing Infrmatin Sheet. 9. CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES: Upn the expiratin f this cntract, the resident must vacate his/her rm n later 12:00 pm n their scheduled check-ut date. Upn the expiratin r early terminatin f this agreement, resident shall fllw the check-ut prcedures as utlined in the UNM RLSH Cmmunity Living Guide r as therwise instructed by. Failure t d s will result in an imprper check-ut fee f If resident fails t remve his/her persnal prperty frm the residence hall upn the expiratin r terminatin f this agreement, UNM RLSH may remve the belngings and any such items will be dispsed f by UNM RLSH Office.

5 10. INFORMATION DISCLOSURE: The UNM RLSH Office will make resident s telephne number and address available unless instructed therwise in writing by student. 11. REGULATIONS: Resident shall bserve all laws, regulatins, rdinances and University plices. University plicies gverning residence hall living are cntained in the UNM RLSH Cmmunity Living Guide, which shall be prvided t resident upn check-in t the residence halls. Resident acknwledges and uncnditinally agrees that: (a) the University shall have the right t inspect all rms, withut prir ntice r cnsent, if necessary fr inventry, fire prtectin, sanitatin, health, safety, maintenance, r plicy enfrcement; (b) the University may cntrl, by medical directin, the use f rms in the event f an epidemic; (c) the University has the right t vacate a resident s living area and t require resident t mve t ther residence hall accmmdatins; (d) the University has the right t require nn-disabled assignees f space adapted r designated fr use by the disabled t mve t ther campus accmmdatins. 12. LIMITATION OF UNIVERSITY LIABILITY: In additin t any ther right, limitatin r prvisin available t the University, resident agrees that the University shall nt be liable fr any failure, delay, r interruptin in perfrming its bligatins due t causes r cnditins beynd its cntrl, r which culd nt be prevented r remedied by reasnable effrt and at reasnable expense. Neither the University nr its regents, fficers, agents, r emplyees shall be liable fr the lss, theft, disappearance, damage, nr destructin f any prperty belnging t, used by, r in the pssessin f any resident, n matter where such prperty may nrmally be kept, used, r stred. 13. DAMAGES: Resident is respnsible fr any University prperty missing frm his/her rm r damaged beynd nrmal wear and use. Residents, individually r as a cmmn grup, may als be respnsible fr any University prperty damaged r missing frm their residence hall cmmunity cmmn spaces if n respnsible individual is identified.
