2 PURPOSE Plicy: Fees and Refunds The purpse f this plicy is t describe the respnsibilities and methds fr managing enrlment fees and refunds assciated with accredited training delivered by 3BC. The fllwing infrmatin is cntained in the Student Handbk and given t every prspective client upn enquiry, prir t enrlment. PROGRAMS/POLICY APPLIES TO 3BC team members and students. POLICY All curses are GST free and are pen t the public. Payments can be made by cheque, mney rder, direct depsit/eft r cash. Frm time t time, funding is sught and granted by external agencies t prvide curses at a reduced rate. These funded curses will be advertised in the prmtinal material fr the curse. RESPONSIBILITY 3BC team members have a respnsibility t cmply with this prcess when dealing with natinally accredited training fees. The Educatin and Training Crdinatr has the respnsibility t ensure team members adhere t the 3BC prmtin prcedure, as well as the RTO prcedure. PROCEDURE Fees 3BC will issue an invice at each interval when payment is due as per the fllwing payment terms: Fr shrt curses frm half day t tw days - Students will be inviced the full fee prir t their enrlment being cnfirmed. Fr natinally accredited curses - students will be inviced $1500 prir t their enrlment being cnfirmed. The remaining payment/payment instalments will be inviced nce the training has cmmenced. Payment plans are available t suit individual needs. Please cntact the training team t discuss. RPL students will be inviced $1500 f the ttal curse fee r 75% f a unit fee befre cnfirmatin f their RPL applicatin. The remaining payment/payment instalments will be inviced nce the review prcess has cmmenced. A late fee f $55 will be payable fr each assessment submitted after the due date. Assessments requiring re-assessment, as specified by the assessr, will be accepted free f charge if received n r befre the due date set by the assessr. A fee f $55 will be charged t students applying fr re-submitted assessments after their due date. Charges fr additinal services, fr example, requests fr additinal r duplicate cpies f Testamur, Recrd f Results, Certificates r Statement f Attainment will be charged at $100 per cpy. 3 Refunds Cnditins A refund will be prvided: Fr an verpaid fee Any fees paid in advance fr training cancelled by 3BC, r if 3BC RTO clses r is n lnger apprved t deliver Smart and Skilled, will be refunded 100%. By being eligible fr a refund if 3BC is t cease trading r deliver the training that student has purchased If 3BC fails t prvide in full the agreed training services r a curse is terminated midstream. Hwever, a percentage f the riginal fees and charges may apply depending n the percentage f cmpleted training activities 3BC will refund all fees paid in advance, paid by r n behalf f the student, if the student gives mre than 20 wrking days ntice in advance f the training cmmencing, in writing that they will n lnger be attending minus $350 administratin fee. That is, the refund ttal is calculated: Refund = Ttal fees paid minus $350 Where applicable, all materials must be returned in an acceptable cnditin t 3BC prir t any refund being granted. A student may purchase the training materials if they desire t d s A partial refund f fees may be applicable when RPL r CT has been granted after the student has paid their enrlment fees A refund will nt be prvided if: The student des nt shw up fr the curse If a student cancels r withdraws their enrlment midstream f a curse If a student fails t cmplete the curse The student has been expulsed frm a curse by breaching the required cde f cnduct as described in the Student Handbk The student had failed t pay the curse fees Percentage f refund applies t all training cancelled by the student; Where less than 50% f the curse has been prvided t the student a 25% refund, f fees already paid, less $ admin fee will apply Where 50% r mre f the curse has been prvided t the student and/r 50% f the time t cmplete the curse has lapsed n refund will apply If a student wishes t transfer t the same curse ffered at a later date this will incur an administratin fee f $350 Requests fr transfers r refunds must be made in writing t the Educatin and Training Crdinatr by t training@3bridges.rg.au. 3Bridges Cmmunity Limited 2 Original: 1 July 2013 RTO Revisin: 13 July 2017

4 Other Financial Management Prcedures All fees received by 3BC shall be receipted and cpies maintained fr mnthly accunts finalisatin and a cpy prvided t the student All fees receipted shall be entered int 3BC accunting sftware 3BC will manage peratins t ensure clients receive the training services they pay fr On the receipt f the mnthly recnciliatin the Educatin and Training Crdinatr shall review the status f the accunts All mnthly payments frm the 3BC Cheque ledger shall be identified with ABN numbered receipts The Directr, Finance and IT shall ensure that a Certified Practising Accuntant certifies the 3BC Annual recrd f accunts annually The Directr, Finance and IT is respnsible t ensure that all financial mnitring, accuntability and cmpliance requests by the Registering Bdy are first reprted t the CEO and then respnded t in a prmpt manner The annual audited accunts shall be maintained in readiness fr review if requested by the regulatry bdy. The Directr, Finance and IT is respnsible fr reprting t the Educatin and Training Crdinatr any invices that are utstanding after 90 days fr actin. 3BC will make a cncerted effrt t ensure students are able t cntinue their training and assessment activities even if the 3Bridges RTO ceases t perate All fees received under a Smart and Skilled cntract will be reprted and prcessed in accrdance with the cntract. 3Bridges Cmmunity Limited 3 Original: 1 July 2013 RTO Revisin: 13 July 2017
