2 INTEGRIS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION VISION STATEMENT The Integris Credit Unin Cmmunity Fundatin will prmte and prvide charitable assistance that cntributes twards the vibrancy, sustainability, and well-being f the cmmunity as a whle. THE FOUNDATION A fundatin can bradly be defined as a grwing capital fund which serves the cmmunity. The earnings are used t meet a wide range f lcal charitable needs and interests. A fundatin is an effective way fr a cmmunity t pl its resurces fr varius cmmunity effrts. Sme f the benefits include: Prviding a framewrk fr scially-mtivated activities; Creating a vehicle fr merging business and scial bjectives; Cementing cmmunity relatinships; Building a lasting legacy; Setting aside resurces fr the rainy day, ften knwn as the prvidential functin; Maintaining the cycle f philanthrpy; Adding effectiveness t cmmunity activities. Created by Integris Credit Unin in 2002 in its effrts t enhance the well being f the cmmunities and individuals that it serves, the Integris Credit Unin Cmmunity Fundatin s purpse is: T fund prjects that facilitate, prmte and carry ut activities and prgrams which are beneficial t the cmmunity as a whle in a way the law regards as charitable; T receive gifts, bequests, funds and prperty, and t make decisins regarding the distributin f funds frm the fundatin. The incme frm the endwment will be used t assist with cmmunity minded prjects: That are fr the betterment f the entire cmmunity and its citizens; That are nt fr prfit; That are free f plitical, religius, racial, r gender bias; Create a lasting legacy; The prject will have a tangible utcme (i.e. equipment, buildings, jb creatin); Prmtes future cntributins t the fund; Prvides permanent recgnitin t the fundatin; That is nt fr the sle purpse f special interests grups; That are special prject riented; Where the cmmitment f funds d nt exceed ne year.

3 The fllwing types f prpsals will nt be cnsidered: Research, surveys, r studies; Large cnferences; Medical research; Operating csts; Deficit reductin. PROCESS FOR OBTAINING ASSISTANCE APPLYING All prpsals must be received n the apprved applicatin frm. Applicatins can be submitted thrughut the year All applicatins will be cnsidered at the fundatin s semi-annual meetings. Applicatins are submitted semi-annually in March and September DOCUMENTATION Dcumentatin must include: Charter and incrpratin dcuments; List f directrs and fficers; Annual reprt and mst recent financial statements; The dllar amunt being requested; The specific prject which will be undertaken; The cmmunity r cmmunities t be served; The prject s effect n the cmmunity; The recgnitin that will accrue t the Integris Credit Unin Cmmunity Fundatin. CRITERIA Preference will be given t prjects benefiting residents f Vanderhf, Frt St. James, Fraser Lake and surrunding area. The rganizatin submitting the prpsal shuld be cntributing twards the prject (in dllars r in kind) and shuld be seeking t raise funds frm ther available surces. The prject shuld have a tangible utcme (i.e. equipment, building, jb creatin, etc.). The recipient will ensure the fundatin receives public recgnitin fr its assistance. This will help create nging mmentum fr future fundraising effrts. The recipient will, when pssible, place a permanent fixture (i.e. plaque) n the prject that recgnizes the cntributin f Integris Credit Unin Cmmunity Fundatin.
