3 Classes for Youth Fun with Improvisation: Group 1 Location: Outdoor Red 13 at Rhein Center Mon, June 23 - Tue, June 24 Ages: At least 13 but less than 18 Theatrical expression is fundamental to the development of individuality and creativity. Improvisational theatre provides an enjoyable atmosphere where individuals can push the limits of reality and imagine circumstances that stimulate originality and creativity. "Fun with Improvisation" allows youths to explore the art of theatrical improvisation. The course will introduce several games and exercises that draw from creativity and encourage quick thinking and collaborative efforts toward developing cohesive storylines and plots. each class session will include several different games - some with a higher focus on comedy, others on developing an ability to create realistic and believable scenarios. For each instrument students will spend two and a half days learning the fundamentals: history and contribution to the band/orchestra, how it works, care and maintenance, posture, and the technique for producing sound. Students will learn the fingerings to a simple song and will bring the instrument back and forth to class each day.
