Thames River Cruise DAY 2 Saturday 9 th February 2019 Imperial War Museum - The Imperial War Museum's collection documents and displays artefacts from World Wars I & II. A visit here will help students to put war into context and identify relevance to modern life. National Theatre Backstage tour - The National Theatre includes three different auditoriums which show theatre, musicals and exhibitions. Pupils have the chance to go behind the scenes and learn about the laborious but worthy process of planning and performing in a play. National Theatre Performance (subject to availability may be changed to west end show) DAY 3 Sunday 10 th February 2019 Victoria and Albert Museum - The V&A is one of London's most beautiful museums. The collection includes artefacts that date back 3000 years from the ancient cultures of Europe, Asia and Africa. The museum contains numerous examples of architecture, fashion, design and photography. Science Museum - The Science Museum documents the changes in technology, medicine and science since the 18th century. Natural History Museum - The Natural History Museum has a complete collection of specimens and exhibits from around the world that have been gathered together over the past 400 years DAY 4 Monday 11 th February 2019 London Film Academy Workshop - London Film Academy is a respected film & TV training establishment that aims to guide and prepare creative filmmakers for employment in the film & TV industry by encouraging an appreciation of all roles in the filmmaking process and an understanding of teamwork. Shakespeare s Globe Exhibition and Tour - Based under the Globe Theatre, our engaging and informative Exhibition explores the life of Shakespeare, the London where he lived, and the theatre for which he wrote. Imagine the Globe as it would have been: the centre of what was once London's most notorious entertainment district, surrounded by raucous taverns and bawdy-houses. 4 Theatre Workshops - This is a bespoke service specialising in the creation of theatre workshops for groups of all ages, working with over 4500 students per year. There are two main groups of workshops on offer, each generally last two hours, are led by professional actors and take place in the heart of the West End: -Show Specific Workshops: these have been created in partnership with leading West End productions and their creative teams. Show partners include Birdsong, Chicago, Dirty Dancing, Love Never Dies, The Lion King, Wicked and the Wizard of Oz. -Bespoke Masterclasses: Tailor made workshops on Acting, Shakespeare, Story-telling and more, adapted to the group and the show they re going to see. Tower of London - The Tower of London is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the past, the tower functioned as a prison, the royal residence and as a fortress. Nowadays, the tower is still in royal possession and guided tours are available to give pupils an insight into its dark history. TRIP NOTES Halal/Special dietary requirements: Please inform us at the earliest opportunity should your group require any special dietary requirements. Depending on your destination Halal meals can be organised however in many destinations it is not possible to provide Halal options and students will therefore be offered vegetarian meals.

5 Rooming: Some of the hotels we use only have twin rooms which means if there are odd number of male and female students then we will need to room then in single rooms. Please highlight at the time of booking if this is not possible so we can prevent booking a hotel with only twin rooms. Insurance: Insurance has been provided for your group. A full copy of the insurance policy and statement of insurance document are on our web site It is important that all members of the Party read and understand what cover is being provided. Please note that as soon as your full first deposits have been paid and received for every member of the group your policy will be live. If the cover does not meet your needs there is a cooling off period of 14 days from the date of receipt for first deposits during which you may cancel the insurance in writing to Travelbound. Please refer to the policy and the statement of insurance for details regarding cancellation. The policy also contains a Complaints Procedure. Travelbound is an Appointed Representative of Endsleigh Insurance Services Limited, who with the Insurers Zurich Insurance plc are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). If you have not taken out insurance with Travelbound, please ensure that all passengers purchase valid Travel insurance prior to departure for the duration of the tour. Emergency funds: We would advise all teachers to cost in an emergency amount of money on top of the tour cost we offer you, in order to cover fluctuations in exchange rate and flight cost changes. Exchange Rates: Should your tour cost not have been quoted in GBP, then you will be subject to exchange rate fluctuations at the time of booking and may incur a surcharge should the exchange rate fluctuate when we have received your money. VISA Passengers are responsible for ensuring that the visa requirements related to their nationality, country of transit and final destination are fulfilled. They are advised to seek advice from the relevant embassies and/or their local visa offices. Travelbound are not to be held responsible for cancellation fees incurred due to unsuccessful Visa applications.
