7 Kids College is open to all youth. Note suggested GENERAL age requirement INFORMATION when selecting classes. *The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has implemented a Youth Activity Safety Policy to provide a safe environment for youths participating in UNL sponsored activities, clinics or conferences. Our policy includes safe interaction guidelines as well as background and sex registry checks for staff and volunteers. This policy will help to protect participating youths from potential misconduct incidents and help provide a safe, educational and enjoyable activity/program experience. *We can help! Scholarships are available for Kids College classes and more. If the cost of any youth workshop is too much for your family budget, please ask for a scholarship when you register (write it on your form or let Barb know). Be assured it will be confidential. *We encourage early registration. We have set minimum and maximum class sizes. If classes fill quickly, we may be able to add additional sections. If we do not reach the minimum, the class will be cancelled and the fee will be refunded. Fees will cover insurance while the child is involved in the class. The fees will also cover cost of some materials and supplies. *Participants not currently enrolled in 4-H will be considered a special interest 4-H er. They will be eligible to participate in the Hall County Fair by entering exhibits and/or participate in activities related to the class(es) they take. (This is optional.) *No refunds will be given after the class begins, except in case of illness. Notify the office if illness prevents participation. *Please bring the children directly to the class, no more than 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the class. When picking up children, we ask that you sign the registration sheet letting us know the children were safely picked up. It is necessary that participants be picked up from their classroom immediately after their last class. *An effort will be made to provide a cookie break in classes that are longer than 2 hours - so it is not necessary that students bring money to use in the vending machines. If anyone would like to bring snacks for a class, that would be great. Please give us a call if you would be willing to do that. Students with summer birthdays are welcome to bring treats. *Youth who sign up for morning and afternoon classes are welcome to bring a sack lunch-preferably something that does not need refrigeration. Vending machines - pop, juice and snacks are available. *Good behavior is required. Parents will be called to pick up their youth if class rules are not followed.
