All Hale Farm & Village Civil War Reenactment participants are required t register fr the event. The registratin fee is $10.00 per persn age 18 and lder. Minrs must be accmpanied by a legal guardian and are admitted free. N ne under the age f 16 may carry a firearm n museum grunds. The DEADLINE fr pre-registratin is July 24, Unfrtunately, registratins received after July 24, 2015, will nt be guaranteed a cmplimentary breakfast ratins. Otherwise, walk-in reenactrs must register the weekend f the event n-site at the Registratin Tent t receive event and parking passes. 2 Registratin Event Guidelines & Instructins All participants must check in at the Hale Farm & Village Registratin Tent upn arrival. The Registratin Tent is lcated at the end f the Main Driveway. The tent serves as the Check in fr all Civil War Reenactrs, including thse wh pre-registered. Walk in registratin is permitted, and Cmmanders will be cntacted cncerning all additinal reenactrs. Registratin Tent hurs are as fllws: Friday, August 7: 12:00 p.m. t 9:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8: 7:00 a.m. t 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 9: Registratin Tent clsed; Sunday arrivals must check in at the Gatehuse Visitr Center Museum Stre After check-in, all reenactrs must check in at Federal r Cnfederate Headquarters prir t setting up camp PARKING: Reenactr parking will be in the Suth Pasture, the fenced in field t the suth f Hale Farm s main driveway. This area will be designated as such during the event. All vehicles must be remved frm the museum grunds by midnight n Friday and vehicles are prhibited frm entering museum grunds until after the battle n Sunday. Please ntify HF&V f any special needs befre the event. Parking passes will be distributed at the Registratin Tent and must be displayed at all times in yur vehicle. SET UP/CAMPING: N camp is t be set up prir t 10:00 a.m. n Friday, August 7 th withut permissin frm the HFV Site Manager. Camping areas are near water and restrm facilities. Electrical hk-ups and shwers ARE NOT available n the grunds. Ice fr persnal use (clers, beverages, etc.) may be purchased at the Hale Farm & Village Gatehuse Cafe during regular business hurs 9:00 a.m. t 5:00 p.m. GENERAL CONDUCT: All participants must cnduct themselves in an apprpriate manner fr a family-riented museum at all times. Children under the age f 16 must be accmpanied by and supervised at all times by a legal guardian; children under the age f 16 are nt permitted t carry a replica firearm. Persnal safety is f utmst imprtance t Hale Farm & Village, event participants, and the attending public. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST STRICTLY ADHERE TO ALL NATIONAL LIAISON COMMITTEE SAFETY REGULATIONS (NLC). A cpy f these rules is available at 2

Trash cntainers, prvided by Hale Farm & Village, are t be utilized at all times. Nise shuld be limited in all camps during the evening hurs. NO CLEATS are t be wrn in any museum buildings because f ptential damage t the histric flring. TEAR DOWN: Tear dwn will begin Sunday, August 9, AFTER the event clses t the public at 5:00 pm. AMENITIES: Additinal restrm facilities have been placed thrughut the Museum Grunds. Please nte that Hale Farm histric and mdern buildings are lcked during nn-museum hurs, including permanent bathrm structures. Firewd is available fr each encampment, Unin & Cnfederate, n a first cme first serve basis. Registered reenactrs will receive a firewd tken at the Registratin Tent upn arrival. Fires in camp are permitted. Please dig ut sd, and replace at the end f the weekend. Active fires must be attended at all times. Water Buffals have been placed thrughut the prperty fr yur cnvenience. They will be refilled nce n Saturday. Ice may be purchased at the Hale Farm & Village Gatehuse Cafe during regular business hurs 9am 5pm. Reenactr Ball & Breakfast Ratins The Civil War Ball will begin at 8:00 p.m. n Saturday, at the Carriage Shed Pavilin behind the Meetinghuse. A cmplimentary Breakfast Ratins fr all pre-registered reenactrs will be ffered. Breakfast will be distributed as ratins at Cmmand Staff Headquarters n Saturday mrning during public. 4 Reenactr Participatin & Risk Agreement Hale Farm & Village Civil War Reenactment, August 8-9, 2015 Please review the fllwing agreement carefully, sign, date, and return with yur registratin frm: I/We will abide by the rules and guidelines detailed in the General Instructins and Infrmatin sheet. I/We will supervise at all times, and take full respnsibility fr, any children under the age f 18 that I/We have brught t the Hale Farm event. I/We understand that minrs under the age f 16 may nt carry a firearm n museum grunds. I/We understand that n alchl r smking is permitted n the grunds f Hale Farm at any time. I/We understand that n vehicles are permitted n the grunds f HF&V during museum hurs. This includes general visitatin hurs, as well as evening prgrams. I/We will adhere t all N.L.C. Safety Regulatins at all times. If I have nt yet read these regulatins I will request and will have read a cpy befre the event. These regulatins are available nline at the Official Site f the United States Vlunteers Inc. at I/We understand that under Ohi law an equine prfessinal is nt liable fr any injury r death f a participant in equine activities resulting frm the inherent risk f equine activities, pursuant t Sectin , Ohi Revised Cde. I/we understand that United States Cavalry are required t shw cggins papers at the registratin tent. I/We understand that HF&V reserves the right t request that anyne leave the event, fr any reasn, at any time. Reasns include, and are nt limited t, unacceptable treatment f museum staff, vlunteers, visitrs, interns, reenactrs, pr cnduct, and refusal t abide by safety rules. I/We and ur guests/vendrs will use the premises in a careful, safe and prper manner; neither ding nr permitting any act that may increase the fire hazard r insurance. Indemnificatin and Hld Harmless HF&V/WRHS desire prtectin against lss frm the temprary use and ccupancy f its facilities by renters. It is therefre agreed that: I/We agree t indemnify HF&V/WRHS, its Trustees, fficers, emplyees, and agents frm all lsses, liabilities, damages, csts, and expenses (including, withut limitatin, attrney fees and litigatin expenses) that they, r any f them, may incur by reasn f the use and ccupancy f the HF&V/WRHS facilities as set frth by event participants. HF&V/WRHS will prvide prmpt written ntice f any claim, actin, r preceding that culd rise t a right f indemnificatin under this Agreement. Ntwithstanding such ntice, HF&V/WRHS may at its sle discretin defend r settle such claim, actin, r prceeding. HF&V/WRHS may als engage, at the participant s expense, independent cunsel t advise it with respect t any claim, actin, r prceeding that gives rise t a right f indemnificatin under this Agreement. I/We must indemnify HF&V/WRHS within ten days after receipt frm HF&V/WRHS f ntice describing the nature and amunt f any claim fr lss, liability, damage, cst, r expense. 4

5 I/we agree t pay all reasnable fees and expenses (including, withut limitatin, attrney fees and curt csts) incurred by HF&V/WRHS in cnnectin with its enfrcement f this Agreement. I/we assume full respnsibility fr theft, lss r damage t any prperty, equipment brught t HF&V prperty. I/We agree t reimburse HF&V/WRHS fr any breakage r damage t museum buildings and/r grunds caused by me r my guests. All phtgraphs r vides taken by HF&V/WRHS r an affiliate f said party remain the prperty f HF&V/WRHS t use fr advertising, display, r any purpse thught prper by HF&V/WRHS. I have read and understand the abve infrmatin. I agree t adhere t the rules while a guest at Hale Farm & Village. Further, I acknwledge that as a reenactr, I interpret and prtray life as it was during the 19 th century and that there is inherent risk in the activities in which I will be participating. I d hereby release and hld harmless the Western Reserve Histrical Sciety and Hale Farm & Village, its agents, emplyees, vlunteers, and interns frm and against any and all claims r liabilities which may be asserted against them arising frm any persnal injury r prperty damage sustained by myself and/r any f my minr children.
