1 INFORMATION PACKAGE FOR CEEPUS SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS IN SERBIA VISA INFORMATION Citizens f CEEPUS cuntries wh stay shrter than 90 days in Serbia d nt require an entry visa. Check the Ministry f Freign Affairs f the Republic f Serbia website ( ) r cntact the Embassy f the Republic f Serbia in yur hme cuntry fr infrmatin abut the mst current regulatins regarding entry and visa regime. Please bear in mind that in case f mbilities lnger than 3 mnths it is necessary t btain visa fr the purpse f academic activity in Serbia. Mre infrmatin is als available at Study in Serbia website (sectin Legal regulatins fr freigners in Serbia) at ACCOMMODATION APPLICATION PROCEDURE All incming students and prfessrs t Belgrade, Nvi Sad, Kragujevac, Niš and Subtica wh need accmmdatin need t apply as sn as pssible fllwing the btaining f Letter f Award fr accmmdatin electrnically at in case f successful applicatin their requests need t be prcessed by the system, after which they get a final ntificatin whether accmmdatin can be granted. Accmmdatin in student drmitries is free f charge fr the CEEPUS schlars, but is t a certain extent dependent upn available capacities in drms fr certain perids, which is why it is necessary t apply as sn as pssible fllwing the award ntificatin, having in mind that during certain perids accmmdatin capacities may be fully bked and it may nt be pssible t grant accmmdatin t all interested applicants. If/when granted, rms are usually shared fr students, whereas prfessrs are granted single rms. Accmmdatin can nly be granted t CEEPUS schlarship hlders (accmmdatin f spuses, children r pets is nt cvered). In the case f unannunced arrivals f CEEPUS incming students r prfessrs t the Republic f Serbia befre the mbility perid r later than stated in the Letter f Award, CEEPUS Serbia cannt guarantee neither the accmmdatin f CEEPUS incming schlars nr the realizatin f CEEPUS schlarship. Bth the payment and the accmmdatin are carried ut in accrdance with the dates stated in the Letter f Award and the accmmdatin reservatin request frm. In case f any changes regarding yur CEEPUS-awarded stay, candidates must infrm the NCO via as sn as pssible in rder t check if the mbility can be realized and whether the accmmdatin ptin culd be rearranged, if applicable. 2 REGISTRATION AT THE POLICE All CEEPUS schlarship hlders wh plan t perfrm their academic activities in Serbia fr mre than 90 days are bliged t register at the lcal Plice Administratin Office (Uprava za strance, MUP) within 24 hurs upn their arrival. This is als the case fr thse schlarship hlders wh arrange their wn accmmdatin, regardless f the length f their stay. Mre infrmatin is als available at Study in Serbia website (sectin Legal regulatins fr freigners in Serbia) at On the ther hand, schlarship hlders wh stay at designated student drmitries shrter than 90 days are usually registered by the student drmitry receptin. This is dne by the student drmitry receptin in case f stays shrter than 90 days and students/prfessrs get a temprary residence card ( white card ), which shuld be held until departure. Upn the arrival guests will be asked fr their passprt (and a cpy f that dcument). Persns in charge f internatinal relatins at hst institutin may ffer mre detailed infrmatin t freign schlarship hlders n hw t regulate their stay in the Republic f Serbia. GRANT PAYMENT The schlarship is reimbursed by the hst institutin usually tw times per mnth. The schlarship is paid n the basis f the real perid f stay f the schlarship hlder up t the maximum number f schlarship mnths that the schlarship hlder is awarded, in accrdance with the Letter f Award. - Fr student stays f 15 days f less half f a mnthly schlarship is paid (except fr the shrt term excursins and summer schls), while fr stays frm 16 days up t the full mnth full mnthly schlarship is paid. CEEPUS student schlarship amunts t 20,000 RSD per schlarship mnth (each halfmnthly payment equals 10,000 RSD). - Fr teacher stays f 15 days r less 20,000 RSD is paid, while fr stays frm 16 days up t the full mnth full mnthly schlarship f 35,000 RSD is paid. Minimal stay is 1 wrking week 5 wrking days with perfrmed at least 6 teaching hurs per week. v In case that teacher mbility is awarded and lasts lnger than 1 schlarship mnth, each fllwing half-mnthly payment will amunt t 17,500 RSD. In ther wrds, this means that even thugh the schlarship hlder was awarded a full mnth he/she will nt receive the secnd mnthly installment if they leave r have nt been crrectly registered at IRO befre the 16 th day. Internatinal relatins units f universities/clleges (IRO) ntify the candidates regarding the exact dates when schlarship payments will be carried ut, as well as additinal infrmatin regarding this payment methd r its dynamics; it is very imprtant t be punctual and t fllw their instructins crrectly in rder t fullfil cnditins t btain the schlarship (especially in case f shrt teacher r student stays). The grant is designed t cver living csts, whereas the accmmdatin in a student drmitry is cvered by the Natinal CEEPUS Office fr the CEEPUS schlarship hlders wh have previusly sucesfully reserved their place at the drmitry (nte that the accmmdatin ptin is nt always guaranteed and is subject t certain factrs). 2

Likewise, NCO Serbia strngly recmmends that yu secure sufficient funds t cver yur needs fr at least first tw weeks f yur stay in Serbia since the payment prcedure might take several days, especially in case f shrter mbilities (e.g. ne wrking week fr teachers). URGENT MEDICAL AID Schlarship hlders need t check the status f health care regulatins between hme cuntry and the Republic f Serbia ahead f their arrival. R Find the infrmatin fr yur cuntry f rigin at the relevant state health insurance authrity in yur cuntry R Obtain the dcuments frm yur cuntry and bring them with yu t Serbia: Urgent medical aid culd be prvided fr mst CEEPUS cuntries, prvided that schlarship hlders bring alng t Serbia a dcument which applies t their cuntry f rigin: schlarship hlders frm Austria, Bulgaria, Cratia, Hungary, Slvakia, Slvenia, Czech Republic (i.e. cuntries which have agreements fr using the EHIC card in Serbia; further cuntries may be added t the list in the upcming perid) shuld bring Eurpean Health Insurance Card EHIC; schlarship hlders frm Mntenegr, Bsnia and Herzegvina, Rmania and Macednia shuld bring a health cnfirmatin frm issued by insurers in their cuntry (Mntenegr frm MNE/SRB 111, BiH BIH/SRB 111, Rmania RM/SRB 111, Macednia Y/R 11). In case yu are cming frm these cuntries yu need t btain this frm in yur cuntry and bring it alng t Serbia. schlarship hlders frm Pland use their passprts as the basis fr issuing the INO1 frm. Once yu arrive t Serbia, the abvementined dcuments are the basis fr issuing the health cnfirmatin fr urgent medical cases - INO 1 frm (INO 1 brazac) at the lcal RFZO (Republički fnd za zdravstven siguranje) branch ffice. The INO 1 frm needs t be shwn in case f urgent medical cases at public medical facilities. Internatinal Relatins Office r persns in charge f internatinal cperatin at hst institutin can direct the schlar t the branch ffice f RFZO. Fr schlarship hlders frm Albania and Mldva health insurance may be prvided thrugh special prcedure since these cuntries have nt signed relevant bilateral agreements n this matter with Serbia (als see Nte 1-2). R Nte 1: Health prtectin prcedure fr schlarship hlders frm these cuntries is initiated befrehand (ahead f their arrival) in cperatin with the student drmitry where the candidate is residing. Even withut the natinal health insurance in Serbia, all schlarship hlders are entitled t urgent medical aid, as described abve. R Nte 2: Please nte that the urgent medical aid ptin refers nly t urgent medical aid issues fr situatins which g beynd urgent medical aid issues, schlarship hlders may als arrange and finance private health insurance n their wn. 4 REGISTRATION (CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT) AT HOST UNIVERSITY All CEEPUS schlarship hlders have t register their arrival at the University/Cllege Internatinal relatins ffice (IRO). R All schlarship hlders are bliged t register their arrival at the IRO preferably n the day f arrival r the secnd day f their stay (preferably first available wrking day). R All schlarship hlders sign the Cnfirmatin f Arrival and Participatin and receive the schlarship cnfirmatin frm (fr regulating yur stay with the Plice administratin) at the IRO. R Additinal dcuments may als be distributed r signed, such as the schlarship agreement, travel rder r additinal dcuments t initiate the payment prcedure. NCO Serbia might ask fr additinal infrmatin n these teaching activities. Schlars will be prvided with infrmatin frm IRO regarding the payment methd and dates f schlarship payments. R All schlarship hlders are bliged t register their departure at the IRO preferably n the day f departure r the last wrking day ahead f departure In case f lnger mbilities, IRO can infrm yu abut the prcedure and payment dates. IT IS MANDATORY TO SECURE NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION TO COMPLETE YOUR MOBILITY: fill ut yur Mbility reprt and yur Letter f Cnfirmatin in yur CEEPUS electrnic applicatin at ceepus.inf during the last week f yur mbility and/r within 2 weeks fllwing the departure and save the data in the system; immidiately print ut the dcuments and have them signed and stamped by the designated persns at the hst institutin (usually a member f academic r nn-academic staff in charge f internatinal affairs, CEEPUS lcal cntact persn, academic crdinatr r ther persn designated by hst faculty/cllege fr such matters) have the signed/stamped dcuments upladed back in the system (either by yurself r by the designated persn fr yur mbility at hst PPU if yu are a netwrk candidate freemvers uplad the dcuments n their wn). This is an bligatry step needed in der t cmplete infrmatin regarding yur mbility at the CEEPUS system and t cnclude yur stay.
