CONTEST PERIOD: THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO CANADIAN RESIDENTS ONLY AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW The Smthie Pwer Spring Cntest (the Cntest ) will begin n February 1, 2017 at 12:00:01 Muntain Time ( MT ) and will end n April 30, 2017 at 11:59:59 MT (the Cntest Perid ). 2. ELIGIBILITY: Cntest is pen t legal residents f Alberta wh (i) are at least eighteen (18) years ld at the time f entry; (ii) are teachers in an Alberta elementary schl, junir high schl r high schl; (iii) have nt wn a prize frm an Alberta Milk r a Dairy Farmers f Canada cntest in a three year perid prir t entry, and (iv) have used ne f the fllwing Dairy Farmers f Canada r Alberta Milk nutritin educatin prgrams: Pwer t Play, Pwer4Bnes, Pwer2BMe, r Pwer Up! Cking with Milk Prducts and Eggs (each, a Prgram ) r have used ne f the Alberta Milk and/r Dairy Farmers f Canada resurces fund n ( Resurce ) t teach a class during the 2016/2017 Schl Year. The Cntest is nt pen t emplyees, representatives r agents (and thse with whm such persns are dmiciled, whether related r nt) f Dairy Farmers f Canada (the Spnsr ), Alberta Milk, affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising/prmtin agencies and any ther persn r entity that is invlved in the administratin and/r executin f this Cntest (cllectively, the Cntest Parties ). 3. HOW TO ENTER: a. N purchase necessary. T enter the Cntest, yu must have taught ne f the Prgrams r used ne f the Resurces in the schl at which yu teach (each, a Schl ) during the Cntest Perid. Mre infrmatin abut the Prgrams is available at albertamilk.cm/smthiepwer The Prgrams and Resurces are available fr use free f charge. b. During the Cntest Perid, yu can enter the Cntest by cmpleting an applicatin frm available at albertamilk.cm/smthiepwer n the albertamilk.cm website (the Website ). Cmplete the entry frm, including yur name and cntact infrmatin, infrmatin abut yur Schl and class, and the Prgram r resurce yu taught. Yu will be asked t prvide cmments n prgram highlights and yur students respnse t the prgram (the Cmments ), which must cmply with the Submissin Requirements in Paragraph 4, belw. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ALSO HAVE YOUR SCHOOL S PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST. Once yu cmplete and submit the entry frm with all necessary releases, yu will receive ne (1) entry int the cntest (an Entry ). c. There is a limit f ne (1) Entry per teacher. If it is discvered that any persn has attempted t: (i) submit mre than ne (1) Entry per teacher; and/r (ii) use (r attempted t use) multiple names, identities and/r mre than ne (1) address t participate in this Cntest; then (in the sle and abslute discretin f the Spnsr) he/she may be disqualified frm the Cntest and all f his/her Entries vided. The Releasees (defined belw) are nt respnsible fr late, lst, misdirected, delayed, incmplete r incmpatible Entries (all f which are vid). d. All Entries are subject t verificatin at any time and fr any reasn. The Spnsr reserves the right, in its sle and abslute discretin, t require prf f identity and/r eligibility (in a frm acceptable t the Spnsr including, withut limitatin, gvernment issued pht identificatin): (i) fr the purpses f verifying an individual s eligibility t participate in this Cntest; (ii) fr the purpses f verifying the eligibility and/r legitimacy f an Entry entered (r purprtedly entered) fr the purpses f this Cntest; and/r (iii) fr any ther reasn the Spnsr deems necessary, in its sle and abslute discretin, fr the purpses f administering this Cntest in accrdance with these Rules. Failure t prvide such prf t the satisfactin f the Spnsr in a timely manner may result in disqualificatin in the sle and abslute discretin f the Spnsr.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: By participating in the Cntest, each entrant agrees t be legally bund by these Rules and further agrees that any Cmments he/she submits: i. is riginal t him/her and that the entrant has all necessary rights t enter the Cntest; ii. iii. iv. des nt vilate any law; des nt cntain any reference t any identifiable third parties, unless cnsent has been btained frm each such individual and his/her parent/legal guardian if he/she is under the age f majrity; will nt give rise t any claims f infringement, invasin f privacy r publicity, r infringe n any rights and/r interests f any third party, r give rise t any claims whatsever; and v. is nt defamatry, trade libelus, prngraphic r bscene, and further that it will nt cntain, include, discuss r invlve, withut limitatin, any f the fllwing: nudity; alchl/drug cnsumptin r smking; explicit r graphic sexual activity, r sexual innuend; crude, vulgar r ffensive language and/r symbls; dergatry characterizatins f any ethnic, racial, sexual, religius r ther grups; cntent that endrses, cndnes and/r discusses any illegal, inapprpriate r risky behaviur r cnduct; persnal infrmatin f individuals, including, withut limitatin, names, telephne numbers and addresses (physical r electrnic); cmmercial messages, cmparisns r slicitatins fr prducts r services ther than prducts f Spnsr; any identifiable third party prducts, trade-marks r brands, ther than thse f Spnsr; cnduct r ther activities in vilatin f these Rules; and/r any ther cntent that is r culd be cnsidered inapprpriate, unsuitable r ffensive, all as determined by the Spnsr in its sle and abslute discretin. By entering the Cntest and submitting Cmments, each entrant: (i) grants t the Spnsr, in perpetuity, a nn-exclusive license t publish, display, reprduce, mdify, edit r therwise use his/her Cmments, in whle r in part, fr advertising r prmting the Cntest r fr any ther reasn; (ii) waives all mral rights in and t his/her Cmments in favur f the Spnsr; and (iii) agrees t release and hld harmless the Cntest Parties and each f their respective agents, emplyees, directrs, successrs, and assigns (cllectively, the Releasees ) frm and against any and all claims based n publicity rights, defamatin, invasin f privacy, cpyright infringement, trade-mark infringement r any ther intellectual prperty related cause f actin that relate in any way t the Entry, including the Cmments. Fr greater certainty, the Spnsr reserves the right, in its sle and abslute discretin and at any time during the Cntest, t mdify, edit r disqualify any Cmments if a cmplaint is received with respect t either, r fr any ther reasn. If such an actin is necessary at any pint, then the Spnsr reserves the right, in its sle and abslute discretin, t disqualify the Cmments (and crrespnding Entry) and/r the assciated entrant. If the Spnsr determines, in its sle and abslute discretin, that any, Cmments r Entry des nt cmply with these Rules fr any reasn, then the Spnsr reserves the right, in its sle and abslute discretin, t disqualify the Cmments (and the crrespnding Entry) and/r the assciated entrant. Cmments will NOT be judged. 5. THE PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES: There are twenty (20) prizes available t be wn each prize cnsisting f : One blender; One set f measuring cups and spns; One set f smthie bklets; and One $50 grcery stre gift card; with an apprximate retail value f $ (each, a Prize ). The fllwing Prizes will be available t be wn fr each f the fllwing fur grade categries based n the infrmatin identified n the entry frm, fr a ttal f twenty (20): Kindergarten t Grade 3; - 5 Prizes

3 3 Grade 4 t Grade 6; - 5 Prizes Grade 7 t Grade 9; - 5 Prizes Grade 10 t Grade 12; - 5 Prizes (each a Grade Categry ). In the event there are mre prizes than eligible Entries in a Grade Categry, Spnsr will cnduct a randm draw fr amngst all Eligible unselected entries in all Grade Categries t award the remaining number f prizes. The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is nt transferable, assignable r cnvertible t cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Spnsr in its sle and abslute discretin). The characteristics and features f each Prize element, unless therwise explicitly described abve, are at the Spnsr s sle discretin. N substitutins except at Spnsr s ptin. Spnsr reserves the right, in its sle and abslute discretin, t substitute a Prize r a cmpnent theref with a prize r prizes f equal r greater value, including, withut limitatin, but at Spnsr s sle and abslute discretin, a cash award. There is a limit f ne (1) Prize per Teacher identified n the entry frm. Any and all csts/expenses nt specifically included in the Prize descriptin are the sle and abslute respnsibility f each cnfirmed winner. Gift cards are subject t the terms and cnditins f the issuer. By participating in this Cntest, each entrant agrees, as a cnditin f accepting a Prize, t use any awarded Prize in class at least nce within the schl year. The Prize winner may be asked t prvide Spnsr with a brief update and/r phtgraph demnstrating hw the Prize was used in class. If the Prize winner prvides such an update, including a phtgraph, the Prize winner must prvide releases frm each individual appearing in the phtgraph, which must be signed by a parent r legal guardian in the case the phtgraph depicts minrs. The Prize winner hereby prvides Spnsr a nnexclusive license t Spnsr t use the prvided phtgraph and update in all media, fr any purpse, and in perpetuity thrughut the wrld, and waives all mral rights therein in favur f the Spnsr, withut further cmpensatin. 6. WINNER SELECTION: At apprximately 09:00:00 MT n May 1, 2017 (the Draw Date ), in Edmntn, Alberta, Entries will be selected by randm draw frm amngst all eligible Entries belnging t each Grade Categry, fr a ttal f 20 prize draws. In the event a ptential Prize winner is disqualified fr failing t cmply with these Rules the Spnsr reserves the right in its sle discretin t select an alternate eligible entrant thrugh a randm draw frm amng the remaining eligible Entries in the relevant Grade Categry received in accrdance with these Rules (as determined by the Spnsr at its sle discretin). The dds f winning depend n the number f eligible Entries received during the Cntest Perid fr each draw. The Spnsr r its designated representative will make a minimum tw (2) attempts t cntact each selected ptential Prize winner within 5 business days f the Draw Date. If a selected entrant cannt be cntacted within 5 business days f the Draw Date, r if there is a return f any ntificatin as undeliverable; then he/she will be disqualified (and will frfeit all rights t a Prize) and the Spnsr reserves the right, in its sle and abslute discretin, t randmly select an alternate eligible entrant frm amng the remaining applicable eligible Entries in the respective Grade Categry (in which case the freging prvisins f this sectin shall apply t such new selected entrant). BEFORE BEING DECLARED A CONFIRMED PRIZE WINNER, each selected entrant will be required t crrectly answer a time limited mathematical skill testing questin; and sign and return within 5 business days f ntificatin the Spnsr s declaratin and release frm, which (amng ther things): cnfirms cmpliance with these Rules; acknwledges acceptance f the Prize as awarded; releases the Cntest Parties and each f their respective fficers, directrs, emplyees, agents, representatives, successrs and assigns (cllectively, the Releasees ) frm any and all liability in cnnectin with this Cntest, his/her participatin therein and/r the awarding and use/misuse f the Prize r any prtin theref; agrees t the publicatin, reprductin and/r ther use f his/her name, city, vice, statements abut the Cntest, Schl name, and/r phtgraph r ther likeness withut further ntice r cmpensatin, in any publicity r advertisement carried ut by r n behalf f the Spnsr in any manner whatsever, including

If a selected entrant: (a) fails t crrectly answer the skill-testing questin; (b) fails t return the prperly executed Cntest dcuments within the specified time; (c) cannt (r is unwilling t) accept his/her Prize as awarded fr any reasn; and/r (d) des nt use the Prize at least nce during the schl year; then he/she may be disqualified at the discretin f the Spnsr (and will frfeit all rights t a Prize, which may require return f the Prize) and the Spnsr reserves the right, in its sle and abslute discretin, t randmly select an alternate eligible entrant frm amng the remaining applicable eligible Entries in the relevant Grade Categry (in which case the freging prvisins f this sectin shall apply t such new selected entrant). 7. GENERAL CONDITIONS: ANYONE DETERMINED BY THE SPONSOR TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES FOR ANY REASON IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION IN THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR AT ANY TIME. By participating in this Cntest, each entrant: (i) agrees t be bund by these Rules; and (ii) releases the Releasees frm any and all liability in cnnectin with this Cntest and his/her participatin therein. All Entries becme the prperty f the Spnsr. In the event f a dispute regarding wh submitted an Entry, the Entry will be deemed t have been submitted by the authrized accunt hlder f the accunt prvided at the time f Entry. Authrized accunt hlder is defined as the persn wh is assigned the accunt by the service prvider respnsible fr the address. Any attempt t deliberately damage any website r t undermine the legitimate peratin f this Cntest in any way (as determined by Spnsr in its sle and abslute discretin) is a vilatin f criminal and civil laws and shuld such an attempt be made, the Spnsr reserves the right t seek remedies and damages t the fullest extent permitted by law. The Spnsr reserves the right t cancel, amend r suspend this Cntest, r t amend these Rules, withut prir ntice r bligatin, in the event f any accident, printing, administrative, r ther errr f any kind, r fr any ther reasn. This Cntest is subject t all applicable federal, prvincial and municipal laws. The decisins f the Spnsr with respect t all aspects f this Cntest are final and binding n all entrants withut right f appeal, including, withut limitatin, any decisins regarding the eligibility/disqualificatin f entrants r Entries.
