2 LAST WEEK IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKETS Global Ticker Daily Change Global Rally Sends U.S. and European Stocks Higher Stocks jumped on Friday 1.35% after a report showed hiring bounced back in April, erasing losses from two days earlier and sending the Standard & Poor s 500 Index to a weekly gain of 0.4 percent. Shares overcame the biggest single-day decline in six weeks on Tuesday and losses in fixed-income markets that totaled $500 billion. The S&P 500 finished two points shy of an all-time high. It ended the week with the biggest surge since March after payrolls data signaled economic growth is accelerating, though not enough to warrant higher interest rates in June. Concern the Fed would raise borrowing costs, along with forecasts for a slump in corporate profit, have whipsawed the index between gains and losses over the past five weeks. The S&P 500 climbed 0.4 percent to 2, in the five days, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped points, or 0.9 percent, to 18, The Stoxx Europe 600 Index surged 1.4 percent for the week, buoyed by the biggest one-day gain of the year after a election win for British Prime Minister David Cameron s party. 3 THE ASX LAST WEEK IN REVIEW AUS Ticker Change Energy Sector Drags on ASX on Friday The ASX was down 11.1pts, or.2 per cent, at pts on Friday. The Energy and Metals and Mining sectors dragged heavily on the Australian shares market, falling 3.24 and 1.34 per cent respectively. All other sectors were up, with the exception of Resources and the Materials sector. The ASX jumped in the opening hours of trading on Friday, before partially retreating after the RBA released its quarterly Statement on Monetary Policy. It fell again a short while after 2:00pm and ended in negative territory by end of trading hours. Macquarie Group Limited (ASX:MQG) was up $2.63, or 3.44 per cent, at $79.13 per share. Macquarie beat expectations and lifted full year profits by 27 per cent. ASX % ALLORDS -0.17% CBA -0.16% BHP -1.85% LNG +3.12% QAN +5.59% STO -4.87% Liquefied Natural Gas (ASX:LNG) was up 14c, or 3.13 per cent, at $4.62 per share. Despite the selloff in the Energy sector on Friday, LNG continued its meteoric rise after announcing a 20-year LNG gas deal with Meridian LNG Holdings Corp.

DATE CODE COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT Macquarie Group Reports 27 Per Cent Increase in Profits In an announcement to the ASX on Friday, Macquarie Group Limited (ASX:MQG) reported that it beat projections and posted a 27 per cent increase in profits. Full year profits for FY2015 came to $1,604m, up 27 per cent compared to the previous corresponding period. Secondhalf net profit came in at $926m, up 37 per cent compared to the first-half. Operating income for FY15 came in at $9.3bn, up 14 per cent. Operating expenses in the same period came to $6.8bn, up 12 per cent. Assets under management were $486.3bn in the March quarter 2015, up 14 per cent compared to the previous corresponding period. Full year earnings per share (EPS) came to $5.02, up 31 per cent..
