1 DAYTONA ARCHERS, INC BY LAWS ARTICLE I Name The name f this rganizatin shall be the Daytna Archers, INC, hereby knwn as the Club fr the remainder f this dcument. ARTICLE II Objectives T prmte archery in all frms with the highest regard fr safety and sprtsmanship and abide by the rules f all sanctining rganizatins. ARTICLE III Membership Sectin 1 Definitin Memberships are pen t any adult in gd standing. Memberships can be denied r revked by the Bard if the member acts in any manner nt in harmny with the welfare f the Club. There shall be 2 classificatins f membership: General (Family) Membership Granted t any individual ver the age f eighteen (18). Can include a spuse and any minr dependents living in the same husehld. Can include tw adult individuals in a cmmitted relatinship wherein the partners share financial assets and bligatins, nt including rmmates r ther chabitants. Student Membership Granted t any individual 18 yrs r lder and is a current student at a cllege r vcatinal schl. Sectin 2 Dues Membership dues are based n a calendar year and due at the January General Membership meeting at which time new membership numbers will be assigned and a new gate cmbinatin will be annunced. Annual dues fr a general (family) membership will be determined by the Bard at a meeting held in August fr the fllwing year. Prratin f dues can begin in Sept. Prratin: If membership is requested after Sept 1, dues can be either paid in full fr the remainder f the calendar year, r prrated if the membership fr the fllwing year is paid in full at the same time. Prrated fee is determined by dividing the current annual fee by 12. This number is multiplied by the remaining mnths left in the current year, and added t the next year s dues. Annual dues fr a student membership is ne-half ( ½) the General (Family) membership per year. Student memberships are can als be prrated using the same amunt per remaining mnth as fr the General Family Membership.

2 ARTICLE IV Executive Officers the Bard Sectin 1 Duties The executive ffices will cnsist f the fllwing psitins. All executive fficers shall fllw Parliamentary Prcedures as established by Rbert s Rules f Order. The President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Range Master will hld 2 year terms. The ptinal psitins f Range Officers and Public Relatins will hld a ne year term. Membership fees fr all fficers will be paid by the Club. All fficers will review the Club By Laws and sign a lg sheet stating they understand and accept them befre being accepted n the Bard. The fllwing are the psitins alng with their duties and respnsibilities: President: Shall represent the club in all matters with reginal, state and natinal rganizatins, attend all regular meetings; shall appint cmmittee chairmen; his/her signature will be required n all legal dcuments and cntracts; shall be a csigner n all Club checks; must be a current NFAA/FAA member. Vice-President: Shall assist the president in any way necessary; perfrm presidential duties in the president s absence. Secretary: Shall be respnsible fr recrd security, meeting minutes, amendments, distributin f membership annuncements and membership cards, and scial media and website updates if needed; shall be csigner n checks in absence f President. Must prvide all lg in and passwrds t scial media/website t VP. Must prvide cpies f critical files t VP (current applicatin, membership welcme letters etc); must be a current NFAA/FAA member. Treasurer: Shall receive all dues and assign new membership numbers when dues received; shall be respnsible fr all disbursements and club accunting; shall sign all checks alng with the President r Secretary and prvide financial statements when requested. Range Master: Shall have master cntrl ver all ranges; shall apprve f all Range Officers and Leads befre acceptance as an fficer f the Bard; shall apprve maintenance purchases less than $50 (if ver $50 must get main fficer apprval) ; must be ntified r participate n all cmmittees regarding the range(s); shall select a cmmittee t prepare fr all turnaments including sanctined and unsanctined events. Range Officers: (Appinted and Optinal) Officer must be apprved by Range Master; shall respnd t requests frm main fficers; shall attend all wrk parties unless Range Master ntified therwise; shall be available fr all range setups and tear dwns fr scheduled turnaments and events unless Range Master ntified therwise. Psitins may cnsist f Range Leads.

3 Public Relatins: (Appinted and Optinal) Shuld be readily available fr n-site visits Shall give turs t perspective members; shall distribute fliers fr annuncement f events; shall ensure membership applicatins are available in carrier at main gate and in file bx in assembly area pavilin; Sectin 2 Vacancies An elected ffice becmes vacant when any f all f the fllwing ccur: A) If an fficer resigns their psitin B) If the fficer fails t attend 3 cnsecutive mnthly fficer meetings withut prir ntificatin t the President C) A ¾ majrity vte fr impeachment by all Bard members D) The psitin becmes stagnant fr a perid f mre than 90 days. When a vacancy ccurs mre than 60 days prir t the next general electin, an annuncement will be made t the General Membership wh can vte n a replacement. If less than 60 days prir t the next general electin, the vacated psitin will be filled as fllws: The Vice-President will assume the duties f the President r the Secretary r the Treasurer but nt all. The President shall assume the respnsibilities f the Range master r appint a general member as temprary Range master until the next electin. Shuld tw f mre ffices becme vacant an emergency electin meeting will be called t rder by all remaining fficers and an electin will be held by all attending member and members vting by prxy. Sectin 3 Officer Nminatins/Qualificatins Nminatins fr fficers must be received by bth the President and the Secretary by December 1 st f the electin year. Nminatins may be in the frm f r hard cpy. The Secretary will all current members with nminatins received. Qualificatins fr President and Secretary Must be 18 years r lder Must be a member in gd standing with the club fr ne year prir t the electin Must be a member in gd standing with the NFAA/FAA. Qualificatins fr Vice-President, Treasurer, Range Master, Range Officers and Prmtins Must be 18 years r lder Must be a member in gd standing with the club fr ne year prir t the electin Sectin 4 Electins All regular electins will be held at the general membership meeting in January during the electin year. New fficers will take effect n the General Membership meeting in January.

4 ARTICLE V Meetings The regular meetings fr the fficers are mnthly and are scheduled t be held during the secnd week f each mnth. Edits t the schedule r cancelatin f a meeting is at the discretin f the President and Vice President. All fficers are required t attend unless the President is previusly ntified. ARTICLE VI BY-LAWS and RULES Sectin 1 By Laws By-laws will be reviewed annually by members f the Bard present at the February fficers meeting. The Secretary shall write up the changes and present at the next bard meeting fr apprval f structure. The apprved change will then be added t the existing By Laws fr publishing. The new cpy with apprve changes will be put n file as well as psted t ur website. Each member will be ntified f changes in the next newsletter and/r . A printed cpy will be mailed nly if requested by member. The General Membership is encuraged t cntact an fficer with any ideas fr change t the By Laws and rules that he r she may have that wuld cincide with the Club s bjectives. The Bard may pass rules by majrity vte fr the use and enjyment f the Club. The bard may hld hearings and administer punishment fr vilatin theref. Sectin 2 Rules Range Rules: Everyne must sign in and ut in the lg bk when n the range Abslutely n hunting f any kind Shting permitted nly n designated ranges. D nt sht multiple arrws int the same target n the 3D range. Practice n the practice range first if yu are setting yur sights. This will help increase the life f ur targets. D nt backtrack r use shrtcuts thru the range D nt sht until the target is clear f ther archers Abslutely n alchl n the range N brad head use n the target r practice range D nt leave trash n the range Use butt cans and extinguish cigarettes prperly Lck the gate when yu leave Any persnal prperty such as bws and 3D targets are the respnsibility f the wner Visitrs are allwed t use the range tw times befre they must jin the club. They must sign in as a guest. Any prblems with the range that yu cannt fix shuld be reprted t the Range Master immediately As a member yu are expected t cnduct yurself in a manner that will bring respect t yu as an archer, the club and archery as a whle. Cnducting business n Daytna Archers Prperty Frmal Training: Frmal Training refers t the practice f making an appintment (immediate r future)with a perspective student t give that student rganized, step by step instructin in archery and is prgressive in nature. It can als be fr persnal gain as a side business.

5 All frmal training is independent f Daytna Archers. Instructrs may nt align with the Club fr persnal gain. The use f Club prperty fr frmal training is a privilege. All frmal training cnducted n Daytna Archers prperty must be cnducted by a USA Archery Certified Level II instructr at the minimum. All instructrs must be insured. Instructrs must frmally request apprval and meet with the Bard befre frmal training can cmmence. Instructrs must keep a lg bk dated and signed by the instructr and the trainee r the guardian f the trainee if under 18 yrs f age. All equipment used in frmal training must be brught in by the instructr r the student. All frmal instructin must be given in the pen in a Bard apprved area nly. When a student demnstrates prficiency at 10 yards then training will prceed at the regular practice line. All students must jin the club if they pursue mre than 2 frmal training sessins. Infrmal Training: Infrmal Training refers t the practice f bringing a friend r a family member t sht t shw him r her sme pinters r help with equipment setup. Infrmal training des nt require a certificatin. Use f name Daytna Archers N ne cnducting a business fr persnal gain (whether a fee is charged r nt) can use the name Daytna Archers r refer t Daytna Archers as part f that business. Daytna Archers may nt be used n any business cards, flyers r cmmunicatins that are nt directly part f r sanctined by Daytna Archers. ARTICLE VI Disslutin If fr any cause the club shuld cease t exist, all mneys less expenses shall be dnated t an archery related rganizatin/assciatin determined by the bard at time f disslutin.
