The Cunty has 405 full time emplyees In 26 departments and is a full-service cunty with all essential functins f lcal gvernment. The Cunty runs a state inmate prisn with the Warden reprting t the Cunty Administratr and this is In additin the nrmal functins f the Sheriff and Jail peratins. The imprving ecnmy and the grwth f the Savannah Prt nearby has Effingham Cunty strategically placed fr grwth. The Cunty is served by tw Interstates (95 and 16), several state highways (21,17, 30,119), ne federal highway (80) and tw mainline railrads (Nrflk Suthern and CSX) that cme frm the prt. As the Cunty Administratr, I was able t make numerus Imprvements while als vercming sme serius challenges frm Hurricane Irma, Winter Strm Graysn, and the unfrtunate death f a lng time Finance Directr shrtly after my arrival. I managed all administrative affairs f the cunty Including 26 department heads direct reprting, all finances and budget planning, all persnnel decisins, public relatins, and lastly all Bard cmmunicatins and reprts as needed. Previusly, I was emplyed as the Executive Directr f a nnprfit trade assciatin dealing with cnstructin and transprtatin issues. That jb was als fast paced and multifaceted. I had respnsibilities directly reprting t ur bard f directrs In management, budgeting, strategic planning, gvernmental affairs/plicy, bard meetings/agendas, business develpment, and cllabratin with natinal partners.
