Accrding t a study by the state, the curthuse and the jail needs several millin dllars in repairs and structural imprvements, and there are at least $775, wrth f repairs required within the next tw years t keep all three cunty buildings functinal. Accrding t a Secretary f State's reprt, Curry Cunty residents pay the secnd lwest cunty prperty tax rate in the state, and it is less than ne-quarter f the statewide average. Curry Cunty fficials have been advised by the Gvernr and thers that they shuld re-examine the tax rate as part f their respnse t the end f cunty timber payments.
