2 SPECIAL EVENT Special Event a nn-cmmercial event f cmmunity wide interest held in a city park r city park facility such as a Fair, Festival, r Art Shw N mre than six (6) prfessinally lettered signs nt t exceed 16 square feet in area can be placed thrughut the City. Fr private prperty lcatins, a letter frm the prperty wner with a diagram shwing the designated lcatin fr the sign must be submitted t the City alng with the permit applicatin fr the event. Fr public prperty lcatins, the cnsent f the gvernmental agency wning r cntrlling such prperty is required (if the public interest is an easement, the cnsent f the landwner shall likewise be required). 3 PROMOTIONAL EVENT Prmtinal Event a cmmercial event generally spnsred by churches, malls, shpping centers r single ccupant building such as a Special Sale, Kids Fair, Car Shw, Fundraisers (fr nn-prfit rganizatins), etc. The number f events at a mall r shpping center are limited by the size f the prperty. Ordinance 1374, which utlines the City s requirements fr filmmaking, TV r cmmercial prductins. City Administratin will frward the applicatin fr apprval by the Plice Department. The City must be shwn as additinal issued n general liability and aut insurance. The permittee shall have n site a respnsible representative empwered with authrity ver the filming directr, filming crews, participants, and filming peratin. Grand Opening Event A cmmercial event fr the initial pening f a new business. Cstumed characters, pennants, ballns n the rf, r ther attentin gaining devices are nt allwed. Tenants may have (1) banner, n greater than (40) square feet in area, placed n the tenant strefrnt (1) day prir t the pening and remved n later then (14) days after the pening. Occupants may have (1) freestanding sign, (16) square feet in area, installed n earlier than (1) day prir t the pening and remved n later then (14) days after the pening. If yu intend t place a sign n the prperty, please prvide a lcatin map fr the sign. Cnstructin Wrk n Weekends and Weeknights Sunday hurs and Hlidays require special permissin frm the Mayr's ffice / Administratin. N earlier than 8:00 a.m. and must end n later then 4:00 p.m. If wrk is required at nighttime, permissin is required frm Mayr's ffice / Administratin.
