2 Survey Summary The community survey was conducted in October of 2015 Residents within the District were mailed a paper survey. 25 New Middle School Due to the conversion of Bay Lane Middle School to an elementary school, a new middle school would be built to serve students in 5th 8th grade. Master Planning Committee recommends: Building a new middle school to serve students in 5th 8th grade on Districtowned property on North Cape Road between Mc Shane Drive and Hi View Drive. Equipping the building with energy efficient HVAC and lighting systems and access to natural daylight Offering a two station gym to accommodate Physical Education classes, large group events, and community activities Providing flexible learning environments to meet the middle school curriculum, including opportunities for hands on learning in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) classes
