The PMI annual dinner has been a part of the PMI calendar for as long as I can remember, and it still proves to be one of the most entertaining pensions events of the year. 4 THE SPEAKER Jeremy Vine Jeremy Vine established his reputation as a smooth-talking but tough presenter on Newsnight. He now presents the lunchtime show on Radio 2, hosts Eggheads and Crimewatch and pops up with a range of graphic wizardry whenever there s an election. Jeremy joined the BBC as a news trainee. His first reporting assignments were on Radio 4 s Today programme, covering issues as diverse as punishment beatings in Northern Ireland and sheepracing in Dorset. He then took up the reins as a political correspondent, under John Sergeant. One of Jeremy s early reports was an award-winning exposé of South African police brutality, which led to twenty four officers being suspended. In a lighter vein, he was famously challenged by Jeffrey Archer to a race on Brighton beach, after remarking that the Tories had become elderly. Archer pulled out, complaining of tiredness. Jeremy has picked up a Sony Award for Speech Broadcaster of the Year. In his after dinner speech, he reveals how news really gets to our screens. He might also mention what happened when Mandelson screamed at him, or how an assassination attempt went completely unnoticed by a reporter at the scene. Payment terms: Payment is to be made within 15 working days of invoice date Once the Pensions Management Institute has received the signed booking form by fax/ , the agreement is complete. By signing and returning the booking form, the customer has agreed to make payment of the full fee (and/or advert/seat drop if applicable) even if payment is not made within the stated payment terms. Substitutions can be made at no extra charge up to 2 days before the event. Cancellations received in writing more than 7 days before the event will receive a full credit voucher. Credit vouchers cannot be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the event. Credit vouchers may be used towards payment for any other PMI events in the following 12 months. The credit voucher/ substitution policy stands even if payment has not been received as at the time of cancellation. PMI will make every reasonable effort to adhere to the advertised dinner package but reserves the right to change dates, location, content, speakers or topics if necessary. Any communication concerning the event shall not form part of the contract. If an event is cancelled for any reason the client shall receive a full refund. The customer is wholly responsible for booking and paying for all travel, accommodation and other services associated with attendance at an event. Under no circumstances shall PMI be liable for any expenses incurred by the customer even if the event is cancelled, postponed or modified in any way. It is agreed that the customer will only book such services where the customer has the right and ability to cancel these without cost or penalty and retains and accepts full ability and responsibility to do so. Data Protection. The customer agrees that some data concerning the customer will be included within the brochure. The delegate list will be made available to selected third parties involved in the conference. Please advise PMI in writing if you do not wish to be included in the delegate list. Governing law. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England. All prices quoted above are net of applicable taxes. PMI reserves the right to charge applicable taxes in addition to the above price. Credit card payments may be taken and charged in Pounds Sterling using the latest conversion rate of the Bank of England. The price per ticket is 300, which includes a pre dinner drinks reception, three course dinner including dwwrinks and a post dinner drinks reception. The price is exclusive of VAT which the PMI is required to charge on all its events. Payment to be returned with the booking form. Tables of 10 can be booked and early booking for prim space is advised. Dress Strictly Back Tie Cancellation full refund up until Friday January the 31st. No refunds thereafter.
