2 About the 2019 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo The annual Sydney Underwriting Expo is the Underwriting Agencies Council s premier event, attracting more than 500 brokers in The Expo is the ideal opportunity for brokers to talk directly to UAC member agencies and Business Service members about their specialist products and services. The event has grown substantially over the last few years and continually sells out earlier than the previous year. 9 LUCKY DRAW PRIZES (one or two available) $2,500 X 2 = prize value of $5,000+ Throughout the day and after the Expo Prize value $2,500 x 2 = $5,000 (two winners) Estimated attendance 500+ people Brokers are required to visit a minimum of 40 exhibitors and scan their QR codes using the UAC Events app to be eligible for a prize. UAC encourages greater engagement with exhibitors to maximise the advantage of networking and growing business. VOLUNTEER STAFF BRANDING $500 incl GST Throughout the day x 5-10 Estimated attendance 500+ people About 10 key staff members will be at the forefront of the event at the welcoming breakfast, before the Expo opens, throughout the day, and at closing. You have the opportunity to provide uniforms (for example, red T-shirts) for them to be prominently viewed as the information points of contact and to profile your company as a key partner. Details can be finalised between the sponsor and the UAC team for an appropriate uniform using what you already may have available. The team will be business appropriate, wear neat black pants and black shoes, be comfortable, highly visible, and proactive in engaging with brokers and exhibitors. 10 1,000 TOTE BAGS $700 incl GST Opportunity to issue branded tote bags to all attendees on arrival at the Expo. These will be handed out by volunteers throughout the event on your behalf. This sponsorship keeps giving as attendees travel through the Expo carrying the tote bag with your logo. Details can be finalised between the sponsor and UAC for an appropriate bag using what you already may have available. Social media recognition before and during the event High brand recognition as attendees progress through the Expo Right to provide a single-page flier to all attendees on arrival via event volunteers. 200 LANYARDS $700 incl GST All exhibitors and their staff are required to wear lanyards throughout the event that serve as identification (via business card placement) and carry their individual QR code for CPD points management and their entitlement to catering. Details can be finalised between the sponsor and UAC for an appropriate lanyard system using what you already may have available is an option, but the ideal style and functionality has been sourced. MEMBER NETWORKING TABLES (four available) Cost per table per session time slot $1,000 incl GST Four individual member networking tables have been created for the 2019 Sydney Underwriting Expo. The tables are semi-private, offering opportunities to take discussions further with potential clients or business partners or invite clients to meet you onsite while catering is available. The tables have been organised around key catering times, so you have a choice of morning (AM), lunch, or afternoon (PM) slots. Please note catering will not be served at your table but available from catering stations to bring back to your table. Please refer to the floor plan on page 13 for locations. Please indicate what time slots suit you and how many tables you require on the application form on page 15. 11 THEATRETTE SLOTS (ten available) per session $500 incl GST New in 2019 is a small theatrette within the Expo. This gives you the opportunity to capture a new audience with your offerings or provide training or a live demo. The theatrette will have seats and standing room, a raiser, a microphone and lectern, a screen and audio. Announcements will be made when the next presentation is due to start, including naming the host company. It s a chance for brokers to get together at the end of the Expo, have a drink and meet exhibitors in a more relaxed environment. Additional catering and beverage tickets can be purchased for $95 (incl GST) per person The Expo will be managed on a first-in, first-served basis The Expo Hall doors will not open until 7.30am on Friday 8 March Premium pre-allocated exhibition tables will be granted only to sponsorships offered above that list this as a benefit UAC has extended the opening hours to 2.30pm The UAC Events app technology ensures brokers visit a minimum of 40 exhibitors to be eligible for lucky draw prizes and to collect CPD points All catering will be served within the Expo Hall Catering will be 5-star hotel quality, including: Morning tea selection of coffee and teas, freshly baked muffins and pastries Lunch substantial quantities of food served buffet style and accompanied by alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Afternoon drinks To reserve and pay for an Expo table, go to Exhibitor terms & conditions UAC will determine the hours during which the Expo will be conducted and hours of access for exhibitors including variations of such times as may be necessary. Expo tables are to be fully manned and operational and removal or changes to booths will not start until after the Expo closes on Friday 8 March 2019 at 2.30pm. No advertising material, (such as banners), is allowed outside the designated exhibitor table area. Excessive noise that inconveniences other exhibitors or the Expo is not permitted. UAC will judge whether there is any inconvenience. No obstruction of any form will be allowed in the aisles and walkways. While exhibitors are encouraged to pursue novel methods of attracting brokers to their stands, practices disadvantaging other companies or detracting from the Expo will be discouraged. Exhibitors acknowledge UAC will not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibitors property and all exhibitor material and equipment is the exhibitor s sole responsibility. Liability/insurance If there are industrial disruptions or natural disasters, UAC does not accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by sponsors, exhibitors and other participants. UAC takes no responsibility for injury or damage to people or property occurring during the 2019 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo. All insurance, including medical cover, or expenses incurred in the event of cancellation of the 2019 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo is the individual exhibitor or other participants responsibility. Exhibitors are encouraged to choose a travel insurance policy that includes loss of fees/deposits through cancellation of your participation in the 2019 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo, or through cancellation of the Expo itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. UAC will take no responsibility for any participants failing to insure. Exhibitors are responsible for all personal injury, damage to property or other losses, liabilities or claims arising in connection with their participation at the 2019 Sydney Underwriting Expo. Exhibitors will indemnify UAC for any losses, liabilities or claims. Exhibitors agree to participate at their own risk and to buy adequate insurance for all such losses, liabilities and claims. Exhibitors and their servants, agents, contractors and invitees are to observe the rules, regulations and procedures as prescribed by the Hyatt Regency Hotel Sydney. 12

14 Sponsorship and Expo conditions UAC reserves the right to accept or reject any application for sponsorship at its discretion with the return of any deposit paid. All sponsorship/expo package prices include GST. Payment terms 50% deposit required before confirmation of sponsorship by UAC; 50% final instalment by 1 February A tax invoice will be issued. If you wish to confirm sponsorship, please submit your application on the form on page 15. On receipt of the deposit payment, a confirmation will be sent highlighting further information about benefits and due dates. All exhibitors will receive an Expo kit which details exhibition information, specifications and delivery details later. Allocation of sponsorship packages and tables, regardless of preferences indicated, and alteration of the floor plan are at the discretion of UAC, whose decision will be final. Cancellation policy Once an acceptance form has been received, any cancellation must be advised in writing to UAC. If a cancellation is received up to four months before the event, an administration fee of 25% of the total price is retained. If a cancellation is received less than four months prior, no refund is available. Exceptional circumstances Liability/insurance If there are industrial disruptions or natural disasters, UAC cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by sponsors, exhibitors and other participants. UAC takes no responsibility for injury or damage to people or property occurring during the 2019 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo. All insurance, including medical cover, or expenses incurred in the event of cancellation of the 2019 UAC Sydney Underwriting Expo is the individual sponsor, or other participants responsibility. Sponsors and their servants, agents, contractors and invitees are to observe the rules, regulations and procedures as prescribed by the Hyatt Regency Hotel Sydney. Sponsorship acceptance form To apply for a sponsorship, please complete the form on the inside back cover (page 15) and forward it to admin@uac.org.au or traceyclaridge@uac.org.au UAC reserves the right to change the venue and duration if exceptional circumstances demand. If the venue and/or duration change, the agreement to participate will remain in force provided the sponsor/exhibitor is informed at least one month before. UAC will use reasonable endeavours to remedy the impact of exceptional circumstances. 14
