3 PACKAGE DETAILS Please read this package in its entirety before completing Sponsorship Registration Form. Canadian Parents for French (CPF) is pleased to announce we are holding this year s CPF Network Conference and Annual General meeting on October in Halifax, NS. The conference will be held at The Westin Nova Scotian. (1181 Hollis Street, Halifax, NS, B3H 2P6). CPF is the national network of volunteers which values French as an integral part of Canada and which is dedicated to the promotion and creation of French-second-language (FSL) learning opportunities for young Canadians. CPF members, including parents, volunteers, partners, and other advocates in over 170 communities across the country, work to support FSL learning and linguistic duality. CPF is providing 4 sponsor packages and several à la carte opportunities to support and participate in this year s conference. Become an exhibitor of French-second-language educational materials and services, provide promotional items for our 175 delegates, advertise in the CPF Network Conference Program, sponsor a meal, health break or reception, or donate an item to the Silent Auction. There will be a variety of activities including workshops, plenaries and leadership development. The Conference weekend will include: (For access to the full program, please visit the national website, in September) Thursday, October 18: 2:30pm: 2:30 Registration opens; Meet and greet for first time delegates; Welcome Reception and Dinner. Friday, October 19: 7:45am 5:30 pm: Breakfast and launch of the State of FSL Education in Canada Report 2018; Plenary speaker and hands-on workshop sessions; Council of Presidents Meeting; President s Reception and Banquet including the CPF Volunteer Award presentation. 7:45am 11 pm: Breakfast and Parent FSL Expo (exhibitors) open; Plenary speaker and hands-on workshop sessions; Branch and Chapter Meetings; Lobster Dinner with entertainment at MURPHY S The Cable Wharf (closing of the raffle and silent auction). Sunday, October 21: 7:45am 12:30 pm: Breakfast and CPF National Annual General Meeting (AGM) open to all CPF members; Weekend wrap-up, farewell lunch with inspirational speaker; Afternoon excursion to Peggy s Cove (Reservations required). Sponsorship Packages: Choose one of 4 sponsor packages to suit your budget. Each of the sponsorship packages includes a 6 X 10 exhibit space. Exhibit applications are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. Only those exhibitors who have sent in their completed forms with full payment will be considered registered. The exhibit space will be located in the Foyer where most meals and training will be provided. Exhibitor Space: The exhibit space will be open on Saturday from 10:00 am 3:30 pm. You may bring your own booth display unit or you will be provided with a six-foot table with two chairs and linens for a table top display. Each exhibitor will provide a gift for a draw to take place at the end of the exhbit hours. Delegates will be entered into the draw by visiting each booth and filling in their passport. Please note that shipment of exhibit materials is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. There is limited storage at the hotel; if you need to send materials, please ensure that they arrive a few days in advance. 5 OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT THE CPF NATIONAL CONFERENCE Items in the delegate bags Items: If you wish to provide any promotional items such as pens, notepads, or other items, your contribution would be welcomed. Cost is $50 per organization. Promotional items should be delivered to CPF (attention Debbie Murphy) at Laurier Ave West, Ottawa, ON K1P 5V5 no later than October 5, Advertising in the Conference Program Book: Please note that the advertising booking and cancellation deadline is September 14, No advertising will be accepted after this date. Cancellations made after this date will be subject to the full cost of the booking. All creative materials must be supplied in.tiff,.eps with Windows preview enabled, or high-resolution.pdf formats no later than end of day September 14, (up to) 4-colours The fee for advertising is: $350 - Full Page: 4.9 x 7.5 $200 - Half Page: 4.9 x 3.75 Silent Auction: CPF is once again hosting a silent auction! Proceeds will go towards youth activities. All items donated will be displayed during the conference, allowing conference attendees to view them and place a bid. The bidding sheet will include a description of the item, market value, and the name of the donor.
