11 2019 Health Savings Account (HSA) Employer HSA contributions: Employee-only, $1,000; Employee + dependent(s), $1,500 First-time Basic Plan participants: Be sure you use all FSA money by December 31 to receive employer funds on January 1. Otherwise, you will not receive them until April 1. Employees leaving the Basic Health Plan in 2019 pay a $4 monthly fee on funds left in their accounts. For those enrolled in the Basic Health Plan, UVA pays the administrative fee. If you have over $1,000 in your HSA, you can invest those funds through Chard Snyder, UVA s HSA administrator. 11

28 Your Enrollment Confirmation Don t forget to print out your confirmation it s your record of your enrollment for January 1, 2019! Your confirmation sheet will serve as a record that allows you to: Determine whether your Annual Enrollment elections are correct; Contact the HR Solution Center if you believe there is an error in your enrollment; Validate your elections in Workday. Even if you make no changes, you should still look at your benefits and print a confirmation sheet so you have a record of your enrollments and dependents. 28

29 J1 Visa holders only plan option will be the Choice Plan. This is the only plan that meets U.S government requirements. Starting in 2019: Additional Information If you are a newly eligible employee or have a Qualified Life Event change, you will have a 30-day window to enroll. Any dependent children who turn 26 in 2019 will be eligible for benefits through the end of their birth month. You ll still need documentation to enroll any dependents on your plan within 30 days of being hired or after a Qualified Life Event. Social Security numbers are required when enrolling dependents (Visa holders and newborns have additional time to provide information). Healthy Rx closes January 1, 2019; if you have participated in this program, contact OptumRx for cost-saving options. 29
