1 Run My City Rules Paris 2018 Edition Article 1 Definition Run My City is a new running experience in Paris. It offers an opportunity to (re)discover Paris following a new route through the 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th and 9 th arrondissements. Run my City is an untimed running event, that includes two routes which are open to everyone (9k and 15k), whose second edition will be hold on May 20 th, 2018 in Paris (hereinafter, the Event ). The Event is organized by Amaury Sport Organisation (hereinafter ASO or the Organizer ) The present Rules are complementary to the A.S.O. Challenges online registration platform s General Terms of Sale. Participation in the Event involves the express and unconditional acceptance by each Participant (hereinafter the Participant (s) ) of A.S.O. Challenges General Terms of Sale, these Rules and any instructions addressed to Participants by the Organizer. The present Rules may be modified until the day of the Event. In this event, Participants will be informed in writing of this modification. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms of the present Rules and A.S.O. Challenges General Terms of Sale, the terms of the Rules shall prevail. Article 2 Route Run My City includes two distances: - A 9k route which starts and finishes in front of Paris city hall in the 4 th arrondissement and which takes place almost within the 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th and 9 th arrondissements. The route includes one feeding station during the Event and one at the finish. - A 15k route which starts and finishes in front of Paris city hall in the 4 th arrondissement. It follows the 9k route and also includes an additional section through the 9 th arrondissement. The route includes two feeding stations during the Event and one at the finish. The details about the route will gradually be published on the Event s website ( and on its social networks.

2 Article 3 Crossed monuments & places The route of the event will cross monuments and places. Some of these places will host runners for the first time. It is essential that the Participants strictly respect the markup and the path as well as the instructions of the Organization or the persons managing these places. In some places, there will be a coexistence between Participants and usual users. Participants should respect and pay attention to other users over whom they have no priority. Since the Event is not timed, the participants are invited to take their time to admire and photograph the monuments, this being part of the Run My City experience. As a reminder, each Participant is responsible for their own actions. Any deterioration, noncompliance with the markup, routing and instructions of the organization may, depending on the circumstances, engage the responsibility of the Participant. Article 4 Participation conditions The Event is open to runners born on May 20 th, 2000 and before. Runners who are born in 2000 after May 20 th, 2000, i.e. those who are minors on the day of the Event, must present a parental consent form. It is expressly stated that the runners take part in Run My City under their own, exclusive responsibility. Participation in the Event is conditional upon: - the presentation of a consent form, called Attestation Règlement et Responsabilité (available on the website), The participation in the Event does not require a medical certificate or a sport license. However, the Organizer draws the attention of the Participant to the fact that the Event required physical efforts, that can be intense, and that Participants must remain vigilant not to hurt themselves. In order to participate in Run My City, competitors must accept these rules unconditionally and in their entirety. Article 5 Registration procedures and price Registrations for the Event are only possible using the online registration form accessible at the following URL: (hereinafter ASO Challenges ), from Thursday 30 th November Anyone who wants to take part in the Event must register as an ASO Challenges member beforehand and fill in a form. Each person must indicate his or her last name, first name, date of birth and address on this form. For safety reasons, the Organiser reserves the right to limit the number of Participants in the Event.

3 Registration is personal, firm and definitive, and registration fees cannot be refunded for any reason whatsoever. Registrations cannot be transferred under any circumstances. For Participants wishing to subscribe, cancellation insurance is available when registering on ASO Challenges. Anyone who gives his race number to a third party will be held responsible in the event of an accident caused by or involving the latter during the race. The organisation declines all responsibility should such an accident occur. The race number must be completely visible throughout the race. Article 6 Collection of race numbers Race numbers can be collected upon presentation of your invitation received by and downloadable from ASO Challenges website, a valid Identity Document of the Participant and the "Attestation Règlement et Responsabilité", signed by the Participant The race number distribution time and place will be communicated at a later date. No race numbers will be distributed on the day of the Event. The assigning of a race number to a runner is firm and definitive. No race numbers will be sent by post. Article 7 Access to the site and security on the route Security on the route is ensured by the Préfecture de Police of Paris on the route and at the finish. These staff may decide that competitors must leave the race on medical grounds. Bicycles, wheeled and/or motorized vehicles are strictly forbidden on the route. It is strictly forbidden to bring any objects to the Event site that may be dangerous or illegal, in particular drugs, firearms, blunt weapons and explosives. To access the site and take part in the Event, the Participant recognizes and expressly agrees that the Organizer may call upon security personnel who will be authorized to check people as well as inspect their personal belongings. Everyone who wishes to access the site must comply with this check. If they refuse to do so they will not be authorized to access the site. The Organizer and the security staff may refuse access to the Event or prevent Participants from taking part if their behaviour is likely to disturb the smooth running of the Event notably under the following, non-exhaustive circumstances: the use of any object which may hinder the race, the circulation and/or safety of other Participants; the use of any distinctive promotion, in any form, of an opinion [political, philosophical or religious] likely to damage the image of the Event. Article 8 Safety on the route The routes include sections on roads which are closed to traffic, sections which use part of the road,

4 stairs and metro corridors. Some roads will be crossed at pedestrian crossings, following the French Highway Code. The streets must be crossed on pedestrian crossings, while respecting the traffic lights. Security personnel will be present at intersections and road crossings in order to ease the Participants passage. The Participants must respect, on the course which will be signaled by material and human means (physical person "orienteers"), the French Highway Code and instructions given by the organisers and the police. Security on the route is ensured by the Préfecture de Police of Paris and medical services are provided by an approved civilian security association. These staff may decide that competitors must leave the race on medical grounds. Bicycles, wheeled and/or motorised vehicles are strictly forbidden on the route. Article 9 - Feeding stations Feeding stations, offering bottles of water and fruit, will be set up along the entire route. There will be 3 (three) feeding station for runners of the 15k and 2 (two) feeding stations for 9k Participants. Article 10 Timing systems Run My City is not a timed race. The Event is not timed in order for the Participants to enjoy their experience to the fullest. Article 11 Fight against doping Participants undertake to strictly respect the ban on doping as well as the provisions concerning antidoping tests, arising from the laws and regulations in force, in particular Articles L et seq. of the French Code du Sport (Sports Law). Article 12 - Insurance Civil liability In accordance with current legislation, the organiser has taken out insurance covering the financial consequences of its civil liability, that of its officials and that of all the participants in Run My City. As for the civil liability of the participants themselves, the afore-mentioned insurance policy will only cover accidents caused by participants during the sporting event. This policy can apply in addition to or in lieu of other insurance policies that participants might take out. A copy of the insurance policy is available to all participants upon request.

5 Personal accident All Run My City participants, whether or not they have licences issued by a sports federation, may take out insurance when they register for the race or, at the latest, when they collect their race numbers. This policy will pay out a sum in the event of physical injury (death or permanent disability) as a result of an accident which has occurred on the race route. Compensation, according to the damages, will be paid if the insured person has an accident while participating in the race. This insurance is optional but strongly recommended. It can be taken out in addition to or instead of any similar insurance cover and, in particular, any cover provided by a sports licence. The information notice and application form are available on the event's website, in the registrations thumbnail. Material Damage The organiser will not be held responsible for damage (theft, breakage, loss, etc.) to participants personal belongings, not even those left in its care. Participants may not, therefore, take action against the organiser for any damage caused to their equipment. Taking out insurance against such risks is the responsibility of the participant. Article 13 Modification / Annulation of the race If need be, the Organiser reserves the right to modify the route, the position of the feeding stations and the timing points, the distance to be covered and to postpone the date and/or the start time of the Event, at any time. If the Event has to be cancelled due to a reason beyond the Organiser s control, according to the circumstances, the Organiser will offer compensation such as replacing the race by another Event organised by the Organiser, allowing the entrant to postpone his race registration or reimbursing the cost of the race number, less the registration fees, excluding all the participant s other expenses. Article 14 Use of images Participant s image: The Event may be recorded for public communication purposes, in any form (notably through photos, videos, etc.), on any existing or future media, in any format, for any communication to the public around the world, for any use including advertising and commercial use. As such, each Participant expressly grants the Organiser, its assignees and beneficiaries (notably its commercial partners) permission to record and reproduce, on any media and using any means, and subsequently to reproduce and represent, without remuneration of any kind, their name, voice, image and, more generally, their sporting activity within the context of the Event (hereinafter their Image ), for a duration which may not exceed 5 (five) years following the date of the Event. The Participant expressly authorises the Organiser to concede to Event partners sub-licences for the use of the Image for commercial and advertising purposes. The Participant gives his express and irrevocable permission for the Organiser, its delegates and its successors (notably its commercial partners) in order to meet the requirements of advertising, promotional and/or commercial campaigns, to 1) apply any modifications, additions or deletions that it sees fit when using the participant s image in any of the circumstances defined above, and 2) associate and/or combine the participant s image with signatures, catchphrases, slogans, captions, brands, distinctive signs, legal notices, visuals and, in general, any element of any kind chosen by the Organiser to illustrate the means of communication in which the images are used.

6 The Participant guarantees that he is not bound by an exclusive contract relating to the use of his Image. The Organiser, its beneficiaries and its successors are expressly forbidden from using a Participant s name, voice or image in any format of a pornographic, racist or xenophobic nature, and more generally are forbidden from any use that is detrimental to the Participant s dignity. Participants are informed and unconditionally accept that their Image, recorded by the official representatives of the Organiser, may be accessible to the public without restriction on the ASO Challenges website in the Members Area and on the Event website under the Results section. In terms of the Event site, Participants agree that they may be identified by any internet user by their last name, first name and/or race number Event Images: Any communication of still and/or moving images of the Event recorded by the Participant during their participation in the Event must be restricted to personal use relating to their experience and may not, under any circumstances, be used for advertising and/or commercial purposes outside the Event. Article 15 - Personal data Generally speaking, personal data communicated by the Participants (hereinafter the Data ) are destined for approved staff of A.S.O., which is the company responsible for processing this. The Data are used to manage Participants access to their ASO Challenges account and to process and monitor their orders relating to the Event, after sales services of ordered products, marketing and customer relations, recovery, combating fraud and commercial marketing and sending promotional material for A.S.O. and/or its subsidiaries. The Data may be communicated to A.S.O. s service providers to process orders and related services (notably photographs by the Official Photographer, personalisation of medals, etc.) and after sales services as well as for customer management purposes. Participants are liable to receive telephone calls and/or post and/or or SMS messages involving A.S.O. s promotional offers concerning products or services marketed on the ASO Challenges platform. Participants are also liable to receive post, and / or and/ or SMS messages involving promotional offers from A.S.O. s partners, to whom Data may be communicated and released for commercial marketing purposes, unless the Participant has ticked the relevant box during their registration on ASO Challenges. In any case, Participants may oppose this in their Member area or under the conditions set out below. Pursuant to the Law of 6 th January 1978 on Data Protection and Freedom of Information, each Participant has the right to query, access, rectify and oppose for legitimate reasons all Data held about him and has the right to oppose commercial marketing from A.S.O. and/or its commercial partners. Each Participant also has the right to draft specific or general directives about the storage, deletion and communication of his Data after his death. The Participant can exercise all these rights by sending an to the following address runmycity@aso.fr, or by post, accompanied by a copy of the signed identity document, addressed to:

Challenges customer account by clicking on the link My Newsletters". Participants concerned by SMS marketing can also unsubscribe by (i) sending STOP SMS to or (ii) going directly to your A.S.O. Challenges client account and clicking on My Newsletters. Participants requests will be taken into account within 48 (forty-eight) hours, except for requests sent by post, which require a period of eight (8) days. Article 16 Aerial filming All Participants in the Event confirm that they have been informed that on the day of the Event, remote controlled drones will be used for the purposes of media coverage and Participants may find themselves throughout all or part of the Event, within 30 metres of these drones. If need be, safety instructions will be communicated to Participants which they must respect. Article 17 Respecting the environment In order to respect the environment and the natural surroundings in which the event takes place, it is strictly forbidden to leave litter (paper, plastic wrappers) on the route. Bins will be provided at all refreshment stations and in collection areas which will be installed and indicated on different points of the route. Competitors must make use of them when disposing of waste. Participants must hold onto their litter and wrappers and wait until they reach the places set up by the organisation to dispose of them. The race management reserves the right to exclude competitors from the race who deliberately dispose of their waste elsewhere than in these specific areas. Article 18 Acceptance of the Rules Participation in Run My City implies each competitor's express agreement with the rules filed with Maître Astrid Desagneaux, a scrutineer in Paris 8 th arrondissement, situated at 4 Rue Quentin Bauchat. Article 19 Applicable law - Complaints

8 Any complaints must be made in writing, in French or in English, mentioning the full name of the Participant and his or her race number. They should be addressed to the Organizer s headquarters by electronic mail to the following address: runmycity@aso.fr or by post to the following address: Amaury Sport Organisation Run My City 40, quai du point du jour CS Boulogne Billancourt cedex The Organizer reserves the right, if the circumstances so require, to shorten or cancel the Event. It cannot be held responsible for this. Participants may also contact the consumer affairs mediator. The consumer affairs mediator chosen by the Organiser is the Centre de Médiation et d Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP Service Médiation de la Consommation, 39 Avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt Paris, France). Participants may also contact the competent Public Consumer Affairs Ombudsman, where one exists. To contact a Consumer Affairs Ombudsman, Participants should first send a registered letter with proof of receipt to A.S.O. at the address given above. If no response is forthcoming within (2) two months or in the event of an insufficient response from A.S.O., the Participant may, before contacting a competent court and within a period of one year following the first notification to the Organizer, use the free mediation services for consumer affairs connected with the Event by contacting the CMAP at the contact details given above or on its website ( or by contacting the competent Public Consumer Affairs Ombudsman. These regulations were originally drafted in French, which is considered as the official language. They are subject to French law. Any difficulties relating to the Event which cannot be resolved by amicable agreement between the Organizer and the Participant fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts. Article 20 Event Information by Registration for the Event implies for the Participants the receipt of information s before the Event. These s will allow the Participants to receive all the information needed for the preparation and smooth running of the Event.
