I BACKGROUND I The 23 Sewer Cpitl orks Budget hs funds llocted to initite engineering work on the 24 SewerNVtermin Annul Replcement Progrm. This report recommends the ppointment of n Engineering Consultnt to commence the pre-design nd the detiled engineering design portion of the work immeditely. This work is in ccordnce with the estimte provided by the consultnt in Appendix 6. The streets listed below hve been identified s high priorities in sewer replcement progrms: Princess Avenue: Elis Street: Lngmuir Avenue: English Street to Ontrio Street English Street to Ontrio Street Highbury Avenue to Hle Street The construction progrm includes the replcement of wtermins, storm nd/or snitry sewers, new storm sewers s required, nd rod reconstruction including curb nd gutter nd sidewlks where necessry. Construction is tenttively scheduled to strt in July 24. The construction supervision portion of the Consulting Engineering fees will be negotited bsed on the finl design prior to construction. Environmentl & Engineering Services Deprtement s Construction Administrtion Division will mnge the construction portion of this Sewer Replcement Progrm. Three consultnts hve provided written proposls, including detiled work progrm, estimte of fees, nd schedule. The recommended consultnts proposl represents the best vlue for this project. The firm recommended hs shown its competency nd expertise with this required type of work nd hs provided good performnce in the pst on other City projects.
