In ccordnce with RBI circulr on 'Prudentil norms on income recognition, sset clssifiction nd provisioning pertining to dvnces spred over of shortfll on sle of non-performing ssets (NPAs) to securitistion compny (SC)/reconstruction compny (RC)' dted June 13, 2016, bnks re permitted to spred over ny shortfll on sle of NPAs to SC/RC during the yer ending Mrch 31, 2017 over period of four qurters. Accordingly, during the three months ended June 30, 2016, the Bnk recognised loss of 1364 crore nd deferred loss of 3992 crore on sle of NPAs to Asset Reconstruction Compnies (ARCs). The Bnk recognised this deferred loss fully during the three months ended September 30, 2016 on prudent bsis. During the three months ended September 30, 2016, the Bnk lso fully recognised the loss of crore on sle of NPAs to ARCs during the qurter. The Bnk ccordingly recognised loss of Nil, 5709 crore nd 7073 crore during the three months ended December 31, 2016 nd September 30, 2016 nd nine months ended December 31, 2016 respectively. During the nine months ended December 31, 2016, pursunt to the press relese dted July 6, 2016 issued by the Ministry of Finnce, the Bnk hs reversed the tx provision nd corresponding deferred tx mounting to 4641 crore creted for the yer ended Mrch 31, 2016 on ccount of Income Computtion nd Disclosure Stndrds (ICDS). ICDS is pplicble from the yer ending Mrch 31, Therefore the tx provision nd deferred tx for the three months ended September 30, 2016 nd December 31, 2016 nd nine months ended December 31, 2016 hve been computed fter considering its impct.
