Accordingly, the Bnk issued 582,984,544 equity shres s bonus shres during Q1-. During Q1- nd Q2-, RBI hd dvised bnks to initite insolvency resolution process under the provisions of Insolvency nd Bnkruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC) for certin specific ccounts. Bnks were required to mke provision t 40% on the secured portion nd 100% on unsecured portion of the lon, or provision s per extnt RBI guideline on sset clssifiction norms, whichever is higher t Mrch 31,. Bnks were required to further increse the provision on secured portion of the lon to 50.0% t June 30,. Accordingly, the Bnk hs mde n dditionl provision of crore on these ccounts during the three months ended June 30, nd holds provision of 9, crore in respect of outstnding lons mounting to ` 13, crore to these borrowers which mounts to provision coverge of 69.0% t June 30,. On Februry 12,, RBI issued revised frmework for resolution of stressed ssets, which superseded the existing guidelines on SDR, chnge in ownership outside SDR (except projects under implementtion) nd S4A with immedite effect. Under the revised frmework, the stnd-still benefits for ccounts where ny of these schemes hd been invoked but not yet implemented were revoked nd ccordingly these ccounts were clssified s per the extnt RBI norms on income recognition nd sset clssifiction in Q4-. The Bnk hd clssified three borrower ccounts in the gems nd jewellery sector with fund-bsed outstnding of 7987 crore s frud nd non-performing during Q4- nd mde provision of crore through profit nd loss ccount nd crore by debiting reserves nd surplus, s permitted by RBI. Additionlly, during Q4- the Bnk hd lso mde provision for certin other frud nd non-performing cses by debiting reserves nd surplus mounting to crore, s permitted by RBI. The provision mde by debiting reserves nd surplus would be reversed nd ccounted through the profit nd loss ccount over the yer ending Mrch 31, During Q1-2019, provision mounting to crore hs been recognised through profit nd loss ccount nd equivlent debit ws reversed in reserves nd surplus. 4

5 On June 15,, RBI through its circulr, llowed bnks to spred provisioning for mrk to mrket (MTM) losses on investments held in AFS nd HFT for the qurter ended June 30,. The losses my be spred over four qurters, commencing from the qurter ended June 30,. The Bnk hs not tken this option nd hs ccounted for the entire MTM loss on domestic fixed income securities mounting to ` crore during Q As mentioned by RBI in its press relese dted Mrch 29,, RBI hs through n order dted Mrch 26,, imposed monetry penlty of crore on the Bnk for non-complince with directions/guidelines issued by RBI. This penlty hs been imposed in exercise of powers vested in RBI under the provisions of Section 47A(1)(c) red with Section 46(4)(i) of the Bnking Regultion Act, During Q1-2019, the Bnk hs llotted 3,742,052 equity shres of ` 2 ech pursunt to exercise of employee stock options. Previous period/yer figures hve been re-grouped/re-clssified where necessry to conform to current period clssifiction.
