As f July 1, 2006, credit shall be given fr up t ten years f teaching experience fr new hires. Maximum advancement shall be ne step annually. Clumn advancement is unlimited when frmal ntice f intent t advance is filed with the district ffice by April 15 annually. Emplyees reaching the end f the clumn, with the exceptin f the first three, shall be given $538 fr each additinal year f service. Current emplyees paid fr years f service beynd steps 11, 13, and 16 in clumns A, B, and C respectively are frzen at their cntracted step as f July 1, 2006, unless the emplyee advances t a clumn where years f service are unlimited. The Gverning Bard reserves the right t pay abve the salary schedule, if in their judgment a teacher's wrk merits such cnsideratin r t withhld the annual increment, if in their judgment, the teacher's wrk is nt satisfactry. The Bard als reserves the right t withhld increments frm all emplyees depending upn availability f sufficient funding in the final budget f the District adpted in accrdance with A.R.S Teachers must furnish the District Office a teaching certificate, transcript f credits and a recrd f experience, prir t the start f their cntract year r date stated in the individual cntract, whichever date is earlier. All teachers must be eligible fr the type f Arizna certificate required. Teachers absent frm their assigned duties fr reasns ther than apprved leave r schl business shall have their pay deducted at the rate f 1/184 f the regular cntract salary per wrk day missed. All curses must be apprved in advance f registratin by the Superintendent r designee and meet ne f the fllwing requirements in rder t apply n the salary schedule: (1) Graduate curses directly related t the teaching field f the teacher; (2) Required curses in an apprved graduate degree prgram; r (3) Apprved in accrdance with District guidelines. Grup Health Insurance: The Gverning Bard cperates with emplyees in prviding grup health insurance cverage fr emplyees and their dependents. The amunt f participatin by the District is determined each year by the Gverning Bard. Prpsitin 301 funds are nt included in the salary schedule.

Any substitute must have a valid substitute certificate issued by the Arizna Department f Educatin, (ARS 15:302). Any substitute must have a valid fingerprint clearance card, (ARS 15:534). A lng-term substitute teacher is a substitute teacher wh is emplyed as a substitute teacher fr ten r mre cnsecutive schl days as a substitute fr the same teacher.
