3 CONDITIONS : 1. Only those contractors who have carried out irrigation works such as canals, C.D.Works worth more than Rs lakhs during each year in the past five years, are eligible to bid for this work. 2. The intending contractors should have carried out atleast Rs lakhs worth works during each of the past five years. 3. The intending contractors should produce documents in support of possession of latest technology and equipment along with the application for tender form. 4. The intending contractors shall furnish the works on hand list of tools and plant with them. 5. The intending contractors shall furnish the details of centring materials already possessing and intending to make available for this work. 6. The intending contractors shall furnish copies of the latest Sales Tax and Income Tax clearance certificates. 7. The E.M.D. shall be furnished in the form of Demand Draft or Fixed Deposit receipt from any Nationalized Scheduled Bank in favour of Executive Engineer, Cauvery Neeravari Nigama Limited, Harangi Canal Division, K.R.Nagar. The E.M.D. shall be valid for a minimum period of 90 (Ninty days) from the date of opening of tender. Tender received without prescribed amount of E.M.D. will be rejected. 8. The tender should be submitted in two covers. The First cover (Cover A) shall contain the required E.M.D. and documents pertaining to : i. Certificate of Registration. ii. Experince and past performance in the execution of similar works. iii. Capabilities with respect to personnel, equipment and construction facilities. iv. Financial status and capacity. v. Audited balance sheets for the last five years. vi. Latest Sales t Tax and Income Tax clearance certificate. 9. The second cover (Covers B) shall contain the completed price bid documents. The tenders shall be properly super scribed and sealed. 10.The contractor shall himself explore the quarries and borrow areas required for the work and quote his rates for fin ished items of work in shedule B accordingly with all leads and lifts.

4 11. Cost of blank tenders documents per set of two book including K.S.T. & Surcharge is Rs.5500/-. The total amount shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft (D.D) or Bankers Cheque obtained from a Nationalized bank drawn in favour of the Executive Engineer, Cauvery Neeravari Nigama Limited, Harangi Canal Division, K.R.Nagar payable at State Bank of Mysore, K.R.Nagar branch. This amount is not refundable. 12. If the rate(s) quoted by contractor of any item(s) of work is / are below seventy five percent of the estimated rates of the department then the contractors shall furnish on additional performance security in the form of Bank Guarantee for an amount equivalent to the difference between the cost as per quoted percentage & 75% of the estimated rates in case of contractor quoting rates above 125% of the estimated rates, then the amount over and above 125% will be withheld during the progress of work. 13. The undersigned has the right to summarily reject the applications of those who do not funish the details aforesaid. 14. The first cover (Cover A) will be opened first and the second cover (Cover B) will be opened only after the condi tions are fullfilled. 15. The intending contractors shall compulsorily submit the copy of Registration and relevant pass book along with the application. 16. Those who would like to get the tender document through post/courier shall pay an additional amount of Rs.200/- towards postage. The department is not responsible for delay in receipt/non-receipt of tender document. 17. The tender accepting authority has the right to accept or reject any tender without assigning any reasons. 18. The amount put to tender includes the amount towards materials such as cement, steel etc., and labour charges. Hence the intending contractors shall be ready to invest on their own for the same. 19. The contractors who purchase the tender document shall compulsorily submit the filled upt tender documents. 20. The land to be used for the work in part or full shall be taken over by the owners of the land without any extra burden for the department. 21. The second cover (Cover B) of the contractors whose first (Cover A) is valid only will be opened in the presence of the contractors or their authorized representatives on the date of submission of tender or a day to be intimated in the advance to the contractors. 22. If any of the dates mentioned above happens/declared to be general holiday, the next working day will hold good. 23. The application fee or postage will not be refunded to any contractor for any reason whatsoever.
