1 ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF SPEECH AND HEARING: MYSURU No.SH/Horti/borewell/ Notice Inviting Quotation Sub: - Sinking of 165mm dia Bore Well at the new land of the institute at Varuna, Mysuru - reg., Sealed quotations are invited for the following work from the registered contractors under the Karnataka Groundwater Authority, who have carried out similar type of work satisfactorily. Interested contractors may also download the Schedule & other document from the institute website and duly fill in the schedule should submit along with cost of document + sales Tax + Bid security (EMD). Incomplete quotations in any respect will not be considered. The, AIISH, Mysuru reserves the right to accept in full or in part or reject all or any quotations without assigning any reasons whatsoever and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

2 Terms and conditions of the work Name of the work: Sinking of 165mm dia Bore Well at the new land of the Institute at Varuna, Mysuru. 1. The rate quoted for the item should be clearly written in figures and words including the total. The rate is required to be quoted including of all leads, lifts, incidental charges, applicable statutory taxes such as labour cess & royalty, VAT etc., 2. Quotations should be submitted along-with Bid Security of Rs-1,900/-(Rupees One thousand nine hundred only) for the above said work by way of Demand Draft/ Bankers cheque in favour of The, AIISH, Mysuru. Quotations without bid security or insufficient bid security will not be considered. 3. The contractors will have to make their own arrangements for supply of required materials including conveyance to the site, proper storage and preserving in good condition. Neither material nor any kind of assistance will be provided in this regard by the Institute. 4. The is required to undertake the work awarded to them without causing any damages to existing underground water, sanitary, telephone lines, electrical, computer cables, etc., 5. While executing the work any damage is caused to the existing underground water, sanitary, telephone lines, electrical, computer cables, etc., the is responsible for indemnifying the loss and the loss assessed will be recovered from the bills payable to them. 6. The quotation form downloaded from the institute web site is required to be submitted along with cost of documents and Bid Security (EMD) as indicated in the notification in the form of DD/Bankers cheque favoring, AIISH, Mysuru payable at Mysuru. 7. The rates quoted shall be inclusive of comprehensive insurance cover to cover all risks including compensation payable if any. 8. No escalation of cost will be entertained during the currency of the contract including the period of extension if any is granted.

3 -2-9. Time is the essence of the Contract. In case the work is not completed within the prescribed time indicated in the work order, the reserves the right to impose the penalty of Rs-100/ per day of delay or part thereof beyond the last date for completion of the work including the period of extension if any subject to a maximum of 10% of the value of work. 10. The length of pipes used for drilling has to be measured at the site in presence of the concerned officials of the institute. 11. The agency/contractor should use rig machine registered with Karnataka Ground Water Authority and they should produce 7A form (registered) before executing the work. 12. The amount of work mentioned in notification is tentative and it can differ as per site condition. The payment shall be made only on actual work executed. 13. In prior to execution of bore well dig/drill work, the contractor should make necessary arrangements to avoid spreading dust towards office buildings. 14. The contractor must carefully study all the pages and sign in each page. 15. The tender shall remain valid and open for acceptance for a period of 90 days from the date of notification 16. The bidder is advised to visit the place of works at his own expenses and obtain all information pertaining to said work from the Engineering section of the institute. 17. A Security deposit of 5 % of value of the work will be deducted & will be refunded after a satisfactory observation period of 6 months. 18. Any breach of the terms and conditions will result in enforcement of one or more or all of the following: a) Cancellation of the work order in part or whole. b) Imposition of penalty as decided by the, AIISH, Mysore. c) Recovery of extra cost, if any incurred by the institute in the work by adjustment from money due.

4 The, AIISH, Mysore shall have the right of rejecting all or any of the quotations without assigning any reasons not bound to accept the lowest quotation which violate any of the conditions contained in the terms and conditions. 20. The contractor should comply with all labour laws & Govt Regulation applicable at site of work and should indemnify the Institute in respect of all claims arising out of non-compliance thereof by the contractor. 21. The last day for submission of quotation is up to 5.30 PM and the received quotations will be opened on at pm.
