2 Opprtunity The District f Taylr is requesting prpsals fr the services f a qualified firm t design, cnstruct and supply and install n site the Phase 1 Clumbarium at the Peace Valley Cemetery lcated at 9556 Spruce Street Nrth in Taylr, B.C. Backgrund The Peace Valley Cemetery serves the residents f the District f Taylr with an existing ppulatin f 1,500 peple and an utlying area serving an additinal 1,000 residents. The land which the Peace Valley Cemetery is lcated n was dnated by Ott Hffstrm in 1932 with the first burial in the cemetery in August The cemetery was registered under the Village f Taylr in 1970 and cntinues t be under the directin f the District f Taylr tday. A 16 x 20 expsed aggregate cncrete slab f darker clur exists at the prpsed lcatin f the clumbarium installatin. Design Criteria Criteria that will be cnsidered fr the purpses f evaluating prpsal submissin include, but are nt limited t: Offer a design that will enhance r cntribute t the Cemetery and be marketable t the cmmunity we serve. Detail drawings and clured phtgraphs f the prpsed unit including future Phases 2 & 3 (similar niche alltments) Timelines fr cnstructin and installatin Supply all necessary drawings fr the fundatin wrk f future Phases 2 & 3 Clumbarium Specificatins T prvide ne clumbarium unit With a minimum f 48 Niches Dimensins f structure must fit the existing 16 x 20 expsed aggregate cncrete slab (picture attached). Descriptin f materials(i.e. granite) and clr f structure, niches and fixtures The unit must have an independent base measuring at least 8 high Niche internal dimensin A minimum f 24 Niches t accmmdate ne standard size urn nly A minimum f 24 Niches t accmmdate up t 2 standard size urns Outside Niche Cver Requirements Cnstructed f plished granite

Warranty and Service Five (5) year warranty n material and wrkmanship under nrmal use t apply If extended warranty available detail csts and cverage as an ptin Prvide cpies f detailed warranty Parts and Services t be available within 72 hurs Manuals tw(2) hard cpies t be prvided(paper) Replacement Parts List tw(2) hard cpies t be prvided(paper) Prpsal Expenditures The District will nt reimburse any prpnent fr any csts related t the preparatin f a prpsal respnse t this RFP. Withut freging any generalities, this shall extend t any nsite review, presentatins, and any supplemental infrmatin prvided, and shall als extend t subsequent negtiatins, if any, with the District. Acceptance f Bid If the prpnents bid is accepted, the prpnent agrees t execute a cntractual agreement with the District t undertake the scpe f wrk (as defined in this RFP) within 30 (thirty) days f Ntice f Award t the successful prpnent. Binding Agreement All prpsals shall be final and binding n the prpnent fr a perid f 60 (sixty) days frm the clsing date and time and may nt be altered by any subsequent fferings, discussins, r cmmitments unless the prpnent is requested t d s by the District. Related Experience/Prfessinal References Prpnents must prvide examples that substantiate their respective experience n similar municipal wrks. The prpnent shall list their experience, wrk f a similar nature, and any ther pertinent infrmatin; they may als submit additinal prject-related infrmatin as an appendix t the RFP. The prpnent is advised that the District may, at its discretin, cntact any and all individuals listed as prfessinal references fr the purpses f evaluating the prpnents capabilities/capacity t undertake the scpe f wrk prpsed in this RFP.

4 Prpsal Details All bidders must prvide the fllwing: Name f business Name f Primary Cntact The successful prpnent will be required t prvide a certificate f general public liability insurance in the amunt f $2,000, with the District named as additinal insured upn acceptance f the prpsal. The successful prpnent will als be required t prvide prf f Wrksafe B. C. Cverage upn acceptance f the prpsal. The District f Taylr reserves the right t select, in its wn best judgment, which firm it deems mst qualified t cmplete this prject. The District f Taylr may select r reject any r all prpsals and are nt bund t accept the prpsal with the lwest price. N-Sub Cntracting The successful prpnent shall nt sub-cntract any part f the cntractual agreement r any interest in the prject except as apprved by the District. Payment The successful prpnent may invice the District fr wrk in prgress f cmpleted items i.e. apprval f design c/w drawings fr Phases 1 t 3 inclusive, cmpletin f factry cnstructin and shipping t site and final apprved installatin. Invices shall identify all applicable taxes as separate csts. Maintenance Perid The successful prpnent at their wn expense, shall prmptly crrect defects r deficiencies in the wrk that appear prir t and during the perid f ne year frm the issuance f final payment. The District shall prmptly give the Prpnent written ntice f bserved defects r deficiencies.
