5 1 Overview The purpse f this prject is t prvide UC cmpensatin data t the Califrnia Cntrller s Office n an annual basis. 1.1 Backgrund The Califrnia Cntrller website displays cmpensatin data fr all public emplyees. The University f Califrnia already prvides numerus cmpensatin reprts, data and infrmatin t the public n its websites, but the infrmatin, while detailed and specific, is nt in a frmat that the Cntrller s ffice can use fr its website. While the University f Califrnia is nt cvered by the same statute as ther agencies in Califrnia, in the interest f assisting the Cntrller s ffice in their cmpensatin transparency and accuntability effrts, UC is reviewing the requirements, methd and csts f prviding jb and wage data t the Cntrller in their frmat fr public reprting. 10 2.3.5 Min Classificatin Salary and Max Classificatin salary are the min and max assciated with the title, and will be retrieved via lkup t the campus TCT. If there is mre than ne grade assciated with a graded title n the TCT, then reprt the lwest minimum fr all grades assciated with that title as the minimum fr the psitin and the highest maximum fr all grades assciated with that title as the maximum fr the psitin. See special min/max rules in Attachment C ITS will manually cpy the data frm a delimited data file created by a PPS prcess int the spreadsheet template prvided by the state Campus name will be reprted in the department field. 11 2.4.2 Need business rules frm functinal area regarding calculating the annual min and max salary frm TCT data. Shelley has prvided academic min and max rules. Need the business rules fr calculating the min/max pay fr each categry f title cde (e.g., stepped, pen range, graded and n rates ). This piece is reslved as f 9/24/13.
