And the healthier you get, the more Vitality rewards you! As you interact with Vitality to improve your health, you earn Vitality points which will determine your Vitality status. The higher your Vitality status, the greater the rewards you qualify for. Know your health status Vitality recognises that people s health needs differ, so we have developed an interactive, online tool that adapts the Vitality programme to meet each individual s needs. You complete a Personal Health Review on to find out how healthy you are and earn Vitality points. You can also do various health assessments to learn more about your health, and earn more Vitality points. Get on the path to better health Vitality makes it easier for you to get healthier by giving you access to a range of health and fitness partners at reduced rates. Vitality gives you extra Vitality points for improving key areas of your health and achieving your personalised health goals. Plus, Vitality offers tailored wellness initiatives for every stage of your life. Because the size of your saving is directly linked to your Vitality status, your rewards increase as you work with Vitality to get healthier. The higher your Vitality status, the greater your rewards! Vitality members start at Blue Vitality status, progress to Bronze, Silver, Gold and, ultimately, Diamond status. 2 Know your health status Understanding your health status is the first step to getting healthier To get healthier, you first need to understand your health status and what your health risk factors are. Vitality offers a range of health assessments to help you learn more about your health. The Personal Health Review Complete a Personal Health Review on to find out your major health risk factors are, set and achieve health goals to address them and earn Vitality points. You ll find out your Vitality Age, which is a measure of your health status relative to your biological age. Vitality adapts to your unique needs and creates personal pathways that you can follow to meet your health goals. Vitality Check Vitality Check is a range of screening tests that help you identify your risk for lifestyle-related chronic conditions. Vitality Check costs R95 and if you are a Discovery Health member this amount is paid for you from the Screening Benefit. All adults over 18 can have a Vitality Check at a pharmacy in the Vitality Wellness Network or their company s Wellness Day and earn Vitality points. Bonus points are awarded when your results are in the clinically acceptable range. Vitality Nutrition Assessment Get advice about your eating habits and weight from a registered dietitian in the Vitality Wellness Network and earn Vitality points. The Vitality Nutrition Assessment costs only R226. Vitality s online Stress and Nutrition Centres earn up to Vitality points for assessing your stress online and up to points for visiting the online Nutrition Centre each year. You ll find useful tips on managing your stress and making healthy dietary changes. Complete the assessments on Virgin Life Care HealthZone Earn 100 Vitality points every time you measure your blood pressure, weight and body fat percentage up to a maximum of Vitality points a year. Wellness for the whole family Vitality gives children great rewards for getting health-savvy and offers benefits for new and expecting parents. Discovery Baby New and expectant moms get expert advice and support during this exciting time. You ll save 15% or 25% on all HealthyFood you buy at Pick n Pay. Vitality members immediately qualify for a 15% saving and by completing a Personal Health Review on you will increase your saving to 25%.
