2 Choose Your Benefits At Morgan Stanley we value our employees and their contribution to the Firm. In return we are committed to providing you with a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that gives you options for you and your family. The UK benefits package aims to support your health and wellbeing, give you more ways to save for the future, provide you with financial protection options and enable you to choose from a range of lifestyle benefits to support you at work and at home. You have an Annual Enrolment opportunity to choose and make changes to your benefits package in November/December. There are a variety of benefits designed to give you more flexibility and choice about what you receive. If you are a new hire, you will be sent an when you join and will have 31 days to submit your choices. This booklet is for your information only. Although every care has been taken to make sure that it is accurate, it confers no right or guarantee to receive the benefits referred to in this booklet. Your benefits will always be paid in line with the rules of (and in accordance with monies received from) the appropriate Trustee Deed, insurance policies, relevant legislation, HM Revenue and Customs rulings and the Firm s policies in force from time to time. Morgan Stanley reserves the right to review, withdraw (without providing any replacement) and amend these benefits, at any time. These benefits are available to UK employees (who meet any relevant eligibility criteria) only, please see Benefits iq for full terms and conditions.
3 On Benefits iq Access information on the benefits available to you View your benefits Look at the breakdown of Firm Funded and Self-Funded costs * Make your choices online Make changes when you have a Life Event Update your dependants and beneficiaries details * Some benefits are calculated using your Base Salary and some are calculated using your Benefit Salary. Your Benefit Salary is your Base Salary up to a maximum amount depending on your level.

5 Protection Helping you provide financial protection for you and your family Benefit Options Long Term Disability Insurance Income insurance if you are ill or injured and have been unable to work for a prolonged period Choices: From 50% of your Benefi t Salary up to 80% of your Base Salary Life Insurance Providing you with cover should you die whilst in service; the benefit is paid out as a tax-free lump sum Choices: Between 4 and 24 times your B e n e fi t S a l a r y Life Insurance Partner Self-fund for Life Insurance cover for your partner up to 500,000, paid as a tax-free lump sum Critical Illness Insurance for you and your partner On diagnosis of a qualifying illness receive a tax-free lump sum payment Choices: Between 25,000 and 250,000 each Personal Travel Insurance Self-fund insurance for you and your family when travelling for leisure. Fixed Benefits Personal Accident Insurance In the event of death or a serious accident, you could be eligible to receive up to three times your Benefit Salary, paid out as a taxable lump sum Short Term Disability Receive up to 28 weeks Base Salary if you are ill or injured and unable to work Business Travel Insurance If you are travelling on Firm business you will be covered under this policy Key Income Tax Savings Available NI Savings Available Salary Related Rolls Over Available to your Family Some Firm Funding Provided Available at Annual Enrolment Only
6 Savings Enabling you to shape your financial future Benefit Options Pension Save for retirement using the Firm s pension plans. Additional savings options are available if you exceed HMRC pension Lifetime Allowance limits Choices: Self-fund up to 5% of your pay into your pension and the Firm will fund up to 11% of your Benefi t Salary. Some employees may have other grandfathered contributions up to 15% Bonus Waiver Elect to waive some or all of any bonus Choices: Waive into your pension, purchase Morgan Stanley Shares or donate to charity Fixed Benefits Financial Advice Access to independent mortgage and/or independent fi nancial advice Pension Top-Up Pay additional voluntary contributions into your pension Choices: Select an amount of your Base Salary ( or %) Share Ownership Purchase Morgan Stanley shares through your monthly pay Choices: 10 to 150 per month Key Income Tax Savings Available NI Savings Available Salary Related Rolls Over Available to your Family Some Firm Funding Provided Available at Annual Enrolment Only

8 Making Changes You will be invited to make your benefit choices, including any changes to your current benefit choices, as well as electing new benefits, during Annual Enrolment in November/December of each year, with benefits effective from 1 January. In addition to Annual Enrolment, we recognise that personal circumstances may mean that you need to reassess your benefit choices, so you are also able to make changes to your benefits on the occasion of a Life Event. Life Events include a change in family or work circumstances; and starting or returning from leave. Life Events can be declared on Benefits iq and the changes you are able to make outside of Annual Enrolment will depend on the event declared. You have 31 days from the Life Event to make your choices. Making your choices and changes outside of Annual Enrolment Access the site by typing b e n e fi t s i q into your Firm web browser, and click Life Events and Declare a Life Event and then follow the three steps to make your choices: 1. Verify your information 2. Choose benefits 3. Confirm choices When you have submitted your choices an confi rmation will be sent to your work address.
