(Nte: Tulane pays a prtin f the medical premium.) A COPAYMENT (COPAY) is a fixed amunt yu pay fr a healthcare service r prescriptin drugs. A DEDUCTIBLE is the amunt yu we befre yur insurance begins cvering certain services such as hspitalizatin r utpatient surgery. COINSURANCE is the amunt yu pay, as a percentage f the cst f yur allwed services, after yu reach the deductible until yu reach the plan s ut-f-pcket maximum. ALLOWABLE CHARGE is the dllar amunt typically cnsidered payment-in-full by an insurance cmpany and an assciated netwrk f healthcare prviders. An OUT-OF-POCKET MAXIMUM is the mst yu pay per Plan Year fr healthcare expenses, including prescriptin drugs. 10 CHOOSE FLEXIBLE SPENDING OPTIONS AND SAVE ON ELIGIBLE EXPENSES Hw FSA Accunts Wrk? 2018 FSA LIMITS: Health FSA participants can use a debit card thrughut the year fr eligible expenses OR Bth Health FSA and DCA participants can submit a paper claim fr reimbursement frm yur accunt. Yu are reimbursed with the mney yu set aside in yur accunt. WageWrks will cntinue t administer the Flexible Spending Accunts (FSA). FSAs are designed t give yu a tax-free way t pay fr eligible health care and day care expenses that yu wuld nrmally pay fr n an after-tax basis.
