Karcher, P.E., Engineering Manager f?j:: July 25, 2016 Lakeway Drive Crosswalk- Safety and Multimodal Improvements Construction Contract for Award Attached for your review and signature is the standard construction contract award package for the Lakeway Drive Crosswalk- Safety and Multimodal Improvements,. This package consists of the following: agenda bill, approval for contract award, tabulation of all bids, project cost breakdown, and project narrative. Requested Action Public Works respectfully requests that the County Council authorize the County Executive to award and enter into a contract with the low bidder, Larry Brown Construction, Inc. Upon receipt of the signed Approval for Contract Award form, Public Works will submit the construction contract to the County Executive for contract execution. Background and Purpose Bid proposals for the project were opened at 2:30p.m. on Tuesday, July 19,2016. A total oftwo (2) responsive bids were received, with Larry Brown Construction, Inc. being the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of$296, The project is listed as Item No. 23 on the 2016 Annual Construction Program. Funding Amount and Source The total project budget is $400,000 through local funds. Sufficient funds exist to cover this contract, for which there is budget authority.
