1 Call to Order A meeting of the Sparkman High School Takedown Club was held on 1 June The meeting was called to order at 6:08pm by President Tom Billig, Jr. Attendance Members present included: Tom Billig, Jr. Tom Billig, Sr. Margaretha Little Kim McGuigan Jameson Nichols Brad Oppman Callie Oppman Jennifer Whitener Secretary's Report Minutes The meeting minutes from the 4 May 2015 Takedown Club meeting were presented by Margaretha Little. There were no additions/corrections/deletions to the minutes. Request/Motion: Jennifer Whitener made the motion to accept the minutes as read. The motion was seconded by Brad Oppman and approved by the membership. Website The website has been updated to reflect the wrestling season. Treasurer's Report The Treasurer's Report dated 1 June 2015 was presented by Tom Billig, Sr. (see below). There are no outstanding Purchase Orders (POs). Accounts have been audited as of this month. A single PO will be submitted to Ms. Yates for the UTC Camp - a single check for the fee will be cut and taken to UTC. Request/Motion: Callie Oppman made the motion to accept the treasurer's report as read. The motion was seconded by Brad Oppman and approved by the membership. June 19, 2015 P a g e 1

3 New Business Budget Tom Billig, Sr. presented a preliminary budget for the wrestling season (see below). There are changes that have been requested by the SHS bookkeepers, Ms. Yates and Ms. Daye, that require the budget to be re-formatted to meet the MCBOE requirements. Changes primarily affect "codes/categories" defined by the MCBOE, that each budget line item/category must fall into. SHS requires that all clubs submit a budget (in their format) at the start of each accounting year. This budget will be presented to the Takedown Club Boosters at the July 6, 2015 meeting for approval. Account 3470 Revenues Sparkman High School Takedown Club Budget Dues/Fees $ 1, $70 Fund Raising $ 3, Donations $ Planned Fundraisers include Fall Car Wash, Spring Car Wash, Fall Yard Sale, TBD Expeditures Professional Services (Other) $ Southern Scuffle Tech Services (Other) $ Website, Track Wrestling, NWCA Travel and Training $ Food Services $ Kick-off BBQ Instructional Supplies - Uniforms $ 1, Coaches Gear Overnight hotels for out of town tournaments Instructional Supplies - Trophies $ Tournaments, EOY Awards Association - Sams Club $ Banquet cake MCBOE Subs $ 2, Coaches salaries/faculty Advisor/Middle school bus services Account 6157 Revenues $ 2, Two tournaments - $600 and $300 profit Expenditures $ 1, Concession food and supplies for tournaments June 19, 2015 P a g e 3
4 UTC Camp Cost is $375 per wrestler. Wrestlers can still sign up until June 12th. Brad Oppman will bring wrestlers home on Sunday, July 12th. Still need a volunteer to drive wrestlers to UTC on Thursday, July 9th. Fundraisers 1. Car Wash - July 18th - with the signup link will be sent toward the end of June 2. Tournaments (2) 3. Spring Yard Sale 4. TBD Miscellaneous Coach Hightower needs to pay for more of the overnight trip costs. Next Takedown Club Officer's meeting will be held during the week of June 28th.
